…On Backdated Whistleblower Rule Changes

Michael Atkinson, the inspector general for U.S. intelligence agencies, acknowledged that his office secretly changed key whistleblower forms and rules in September, but refused to explain to lawmakers why those changes were backdated to August.

  1. Not to mention…why would the intelligence community change ANY of it’s internal requirements on ANY procedures because of “media inquiries”? Would the military make internal procedural changes due to media inquiries? Would ANY government entity change internal procedures because the media asked it to? That makes no sense at all. I’m glad they’re paying attention in that committee–somebody has to! It’s insulting that they think the public–or Congress–doesn’t see what’s going on. Guess we’re not quite as dumb as they think we are.
