Oath Keepers welcomed when they arrived for the Trump rally in Dallas, Texas.

See below for details on how to volunteer or how to support our volunteers.  You DO NOT have to be an Oath Keepers member to volunteer!  Nor do you have to be prior service police or military.   You just need to be physically capable and cool-headed.  See below.

If you can’t make it yourself, please donate to support those who can make it in person, to be boots on the ground.   Our security volunteers need your support to do what they do.  Donations cover gas money, rooms, and essential equipment for our men.  Thank you!

The Lexington, KY rally will be held:

Mon, November 04, 2019

07:00 pm (EST)

Rupp Arena
430 W Vine St
Lexington, KY 40507

Gates are expected to open at 4pm and the event starts at 7pm.

NOTE: We will also be conducting volunteer security escorts at the Trump rally in Tupelo, MS this Friday, November 1.  Go here to learn more about that mission.

Leftists have a right to protest, but they don’t have a right to shut down the free speech and assembly of other people by assaulting them because they don’t like their politics. And yet that is the obvious, well-established pattern of behavior at nearly every Trump event, especially in major cities. We have a duty to protect our fellow Americans against such terrorism (and that’s exactly what it is), and we will. No American, of whatever political party, should have to worry about being violently assaulted as they attend a public political rally by thugs intent on suppressing their free speech and assembly.

As always, we are confident that the interior of the venue itself in Lexington will be safe (the Secret Service will see to that), but we have serious concerns for the safety of attendees as they walk from their vehicles to the venue, and then especially as they walk back to their vehicles in the dark afterward.  There have been numerous examples of Trump supporters being attacked by violent leftists under those circumstances, right up to the most recent Trump rallies in Minneapolis, MN and Dallas, TX – yes, we had volunteer security teams on the ground at both of those rallies, and we successfully escorted many rally attendees and kept them safe, but we didn’t have enough men to cover all areas, and some Trump supporters were assaulted outside of our presence – including an Iraq veteran in Dallas who was hit from behind and knocked unconscious as he walked alone back to his vehicle, which he had parked over a mile from the venue.

Don’t take it for granted that this can’t or won’t also happen in Kentucky.  Unfortunately, it can happen anywhere.  Which is why we will continue to step up and provide security escorts, and why we need you to step up and help.

All those we escorted in Minneapolis and Dallas were kept 100% safe, but we need more volunteers at future rallies so we can have more effective coverage.

It is absolutely ridiculous that any American has to worry about being attacked by violent thugs just because they want to attend a political rally. But this is the reality in America, with violent leftists from Antifa and other radical groups seeking to attack any Trump supporter they can. Antifa has a nasty habit of targeting the elderly and disabled, and especially loves to attack disabled veterans, who they hate as much as they hate police, or they will attack a lone individual from behind, as in the case of the veteran in Dallas. We WILL be adjusting our tactics accordingly.   But what we really need is more volunteers.  Help us keep people safe!

HOW YOU CAN HELP!

VOLUNTEER!: If you are within driving range of Lexington, KY, and you are capable of assisting with security escorts, or you are trained in emergency medicine, we need your help in keeping the rally attendees safe.  You do NOT have to be a member of Oath Keepers to volunteer, or prior military or LEO.   As long as you are physically capable and cool-headed, we will put you to work.

To volunteer, email us at: oathkeepersok@gmail.com

(we are using that email for now, to ensure reliable communications with volunteers as we update our IT systems)

NOTE:  Even if you want to attend the rally, we can still use your help to escort people when the rally gets out.   When rally goers leave the venue, at night, in the dark, is when they are most at risk.  So that is when we really need your help.  So, you can attend the rally and still help us escort people afterwards. So please still volunteer.

Put “Lexington, KY Trump Rally Security Volunteer” in the subject line.  Please provide your full name, phone number, zip code, and tell us about your prior service, training, or experience that is relevant to a security mission or to an emergency medical mission if you have such training. If you have a CCW valid in Kentucky, please let us know. Please also send us a photo of your Drivers License, and of your CCW if you have one.

We generally use both armed and unarmed volunteers in our security operations, so if you have a CCW valid in Kentucky, that may be very useful. If you don’t, please volunteer anyway since we will also have a role for unarmed volunteers. If you are a member of Oath Keepers, please include your membership number and a photo of your membership card, if you have it handy.  Please also include links to any social media profiles. Expect to be heavily vetted. As always, we will not accept anyone who advocates, or belongs to any group that advocates, the overthrow of the U.S. government or that discriminates along racial lines. We also cannot use anyone who is a convicted felon.

We are looking for calm, physically capable men who can effectively protect others, while also keeping their cool under pressure.

We always work closely with other awesome patriot or biker groups. in the past, we have worked closely with Bikers for Trump, for example, as well as Sons of Liberty Riders (SOLR). If you are the leader of a motorcycle club, riding club, association, or group that is interested in helping with security, or the leader of a squared away, professional three percent group, firearms association, or other patriot group, please email us at the same oathkeepersok@gmail.com email, but please add “Security Leader” in the subject line and tell us who you are with (we will trust you to vet your own men).

In addition to men who can fulfill volunteer security escort duties, we also need medical personnel.  We prefer to send out a medic with each escort team.  But even if you don’t feel comfortable going out in an escort team, we can still use your help at a dedicated medical aid station.

We also need HAM radio operators to assist with communications. In addition, we need a skilled videographer/photographer who can livestream and take still photos for us. If you can do that, please put “videographer” in the subject line.

NOTE: If you want to help, or if you simply want to attend the rally, please reserve a rally ticket ASAP.  There is a distinct possibility that only rally ticket holders will be allowed inside a large event security perimeter, so please get a ticket. Expect radical leftists to grab tickets as well, so they can infiltrate and disrupt the rally from within, so don’t presume you can grab a ticket last minute.

SUPPORT OUR VOLUNTEERS: If you can’t make it in person to help, please consider making a donation to support our volunteers who can make it, and to support our mission. We will be reimbursing gas money for our vetted volunteers, as well as providing hotel accommodations and food for them, and mission-critical supplies. You can donate here:

As always, our police officers and military veterans will be communicating and coordinating closely with local law enforcement and federal LEOs so we do not get in their way while still doing our critical work of protecting rally attendees as they go to and from the venue. This will be an independent volunteer security operation, not formally associated with either the Trump campaign or with any law enforcement agency, but our Oath Keepers police officers will closely liaison with all relevant LEOs so they know who we are, why we are there, where we will be, how to identify us, who our leaders are and how to contact them, and visa versa. We have done this dozens of times as we have protected people from Antifa violence all over the nation, from Inauguration Day 2017 in DC, on.

For those who don’t know our history, Oath Keepers has successfully provided volunteer security at numerous events across the nation in the past three years, including twice in Berkeley, CA; in Portland, OR (where we provided a PSD escort for the Multnomah County Republican Party Chair, who otherwise would not have felt safe to speak at the rally); Boston, MA; Washington D.C. (three times, including Inauguration Day, 2017); in New York City; and we provided event security and PSD escorts for high profile speakers for ACT for America at dozens of their “March Against Sharia” events nationwide in 2017.

Oath Keepers has had volunteer security escorts on the ground at three Trump rallies to date this year: Rio Rancho, NM;  Minneapolis, MN; and Dallas, TX.  Now we will be in Tupelo, MS on Nov. 1, and Lexington, KY on Nov. 4.

In each instance we successfully escorted many Trump supporters safely back to their vehicles. In Rio Rancho, NM, we worked closely with bikers from Sons of Liberty Riders (SOLR) and some independent bikers. One of our combat veteran volunteers directly stopped one unhinged leftist who tried to assault a disabled veteran in his 80s who was waiting in the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) line to get into the event (yes, really). Our alert veteran stepped in between and shut that down before it could even happen. Unfortunately, that same leftist then moved to another part of the ADA line and did, in fact, assault a disabled woman and was then arrested.

At the Rio Rancho Rally we also provided a special PSD escort for Angel Family activists Mary Ann Mendoza and Steve Ronnebeck, driving them to the venue, escorting them into the VIP section of the rally, and then driving them back out afterwards.

We then provided security escorts for rally attendees at both the Minneapolis and Dallas rallies, and successfully escorted many people safety to their vehicles.

We can say that none of the people we escorted in MN or TX were assaulted.   Not a hair on their head was touched.  But we simply didn’t have enough volunteers to cover all areas in a very dispersed urban environment (in both cases) and violent leftists were still able to assault some people in areas where our teams were not present.  That is very frustrating for us because we know that would NOT have happened to those people if we had had enough volunteers to be able to escort them all.  The lesson from that is that we need more volunteers! So step up and help at future Trump rallies! Many hands make light work.

A side note on medical: each of our teams at past rallies had a dedicated medic attached (military combat medic veterans, civilian EMTs, or a trauma nurse) and in Minneapolis one of our medics was able to treat a lady who had been pepper sprayed by leftist protesters. Our medic flushed out her eyes and treated her face, and our team escorted her to safety.

Every venue is different, and presents different challenges.  With our volunteer security operation at the recent Rio Rancho, NM Trump Rally, the parking lots were right there at the expansive venue site out in the open desert, and it was far easier for us to keep everyone safe as they returned to their vehicles. In Minneapolis and Dallas, in sharp contrast, Trump supporters had to walk blocks in many directions through the city streets to reach their vehicles.

Antifa’s normal M.O. is to harass, assault, and distract police with one of their “black block” formations (often throwing rocks, bottles, etc at police and setting fires) and then seek out vulnerable individuals for a gang beating of three or four on one, often with a masked Antifa hitting the victim in the head with a hard object, such as a bike lock, and then disappearing back into the “black block” of identically clad Antifa, making it difficult to find the perp.

The rhetoric of the left has only intensified since 2016, labeling all Trump supporters ( even if they are Hispanic or black) as “supporters of white supremacy”, “racist” and “fascist” just for wanting a secure border and wanting our immigration laws enforced. There were many patriotic Mexican-American Trump supporters at the Rio Rancho rally, just as at least half the crowd at the El Paso Trump rally in February were Hispanic. But that reality doesn’t faze the Marxist ideology/identity politics obsessed leftists who insist that to be patriotic or conservative is equivalent to being a “Nazi” or a member of the KKK, and who therefor justify shutting down the free speech of other Americans through violence.

Because of this unfortunate reality, Oath Keepers and our allies will be on the ground in both Mississippi an in Kentucky to help provide volunteer security escorts for rally attendees as they go into the rally and as they leave the rally and return to their vehicles. We expect to do this at Trump rallies from now until Election Day, 2020.

It is critical that we preserve the free speech and political assembly rights of our fellow Americans. Our republican form of government is in peril when Americans don’t feel safe to attend a political rally.  That’s why we need YOU to step up and help. If you are a physically capable patriot who can serve as a security volunteer, then please do volunteer when a Trump rally is near you by emailing us at: oathkeepersok@gmail.com.
