Trump Declaration of Emergency Gets Off On Wrong Foot

He Needs to Evoke Military Powers as Commander-in-Chief.

President Trump is getting TERRIBLE advice from his staff and cabinet. President Trump needs to act as Commander-in-Chief, and he MUST declare cartels international terrorist organizations/military invaders.

President Trump is making a mistake by only invoking the 1976 National Emergency Act and saying “it gave Presidents” the authority. The CONSTITUTION gives him the authority. And he is making a mistake by discussing only drugs and crime, not terrorism and the cartels as military enemies.

Trump needs to point out the MILITARY and TERRORIST nature of the cartels. They are unconventional warfare enemies, much like the Taliban, al Qaida, and ISIS, who occupy territory, using terrorism to control areas, who are invading and occupying our nation.

Trump is mistakenly placing this squarely, & only, in the rubric of crime – drugs, human trafficking – &narrow invocation of 1976 National Emergencies Act, rather than evoking a military threat and invasion by the cartels as unconventional international terrorist military enemies.

It’s not too late for him to fix this, but I suspect his legal advisers are intentionally giving him bad advice to limit his actions and to place him in the weakest position possible when he goes to court over this. Remember. The deep state within his own admin tries to pull a coup against him using the 25th Amendment. He is still surrounded by deep state minions.

  1. It appears as you say, weak, but think about the emphasis he placed on being sued. This is all an act to build a case against the 9th Circus and when Ruthie BG babe doesn’t show her face, the bad actors on the Supreme Court will exposed as well. And more appointments to the Supreme Court will happen. This is a distraction; “look here” and “look there.: Remember the deep state operatives have shrunk by hundreds of top level and midlevel clowns. Hundreds of FBI from Commie Comey down are gone. Others are turning on each other. The President also is demonstrating to the public how insane the media is. Behind the scenes many bad actors are being set up for treason, sedition and other high crimes against the state. Notice who is quiet.

And when the FISA documents are made public? Another ace held in Trump’s hand. Let’s not forget that all lot of evil doers art going to eat themselves into their jail uniforms. I suggest that Mueller is a white hat having made a deal with Trump to save his own interestingly mixed career. Notice who Mueller hired, the worst sleaze bag anti American attorneys that surrounded the Hussein regime and Clinton cartel. This move took them out of circulation. I believe Barr has turned as well as GWB who has turned states evidence.

The man is brilliant at winning. We are not engaged in a nuclear war that the cabal was determined to start. We are not being taken advantage of in trade. Employment is a record high. Our military is now supported by a Commander in Chief patriot.

Trump knows who the bad players are; he knows who tried unsuccessfully to shoot Air Force One down via a missile launch near Whidbey Island. He knows who laced the WH with devices to take him out. I believe between now and 2020 election we’ll see a cascade of deep state traitors meet their demise.

The USA / Mexico border wall gets built regardless of the avenue and optics. Trump is building the wall which is not a mistake.

    1. This is all “Qanon” stuff. I was there on 4chan near the beginning when Q first made his/their appearance. I once believed, but it’s been proven to be a hoax, at least to some of us. It’s been a lot of unsubstantiated things which never came to pass.

Remember this? “The mid-terms are safe.” And then we lost the House! How many Trump supporters didn’t go out walking their precincts and making phone calls to get out the vote, because they sat home believing the Republican election victories would just magically happen? Now the House Democrats are in charge of all the Committees and are salivating over bringing impeachment proceedings against Trump, as well as starting their 82 investigations of him.

Qanon says that Mueller is a “white hat” who is working with Trump to bring down the Deep State. Interesting way to go about it, by indicting members of the Trump campaign staff and Trump’s personal lawyer and former National Security Advisor Flynn, and keeping false allegations of Russian collusion in the MSM headlines. Mueller is NOT a good guy. Look at his history with the FBI.

“Hundreds of FBI” are not gone. It’s only about a dozen senior FBI officials who have resigned or have been fired (source is Hannity show this week). Qanon put up photos he claimed to have taken on Air Force One, of which one was actually a stock photo quickly found online and another was an ABC News photo. I could go on. Lots of unproven rubbish from Qanon, in my opinion.

While it may be comforting to “Trust the Plan,” the reality is that the future of this country depends upon patriotic Americans who are willing to commit to hard work to combat the Communists in our country who are working to take us down from within. Please don’t depend on some anonymous angel called Q to save this country. Please put pressure on Trump to keep his campaign promises and do what’s best for our country. Please put in effort to get good people elected to Congress in 2020 and to re-elect President Trump.

      1. Trump’s Praetorian Guard starts with Schiller. Q has nothing to do with the Trump. The type of operation led by Schiller is consistent with Trump’s mastery of Sun Tzu’s principles, from ‘The Art of War. A key principle that the ancient master strategist handed down was the importance of gaining intelligence, through the use of spies, prior to committing to any significant conflict. Trump is a strategic genious.

  2. Check out Executive Order (EO) 11051.

I think that during a national emergency declaration EO 11490 combines EOs:
    11001,2,3,4 and 5.

Also recall the powers that FEMA inherits under a national emergency.

Maybe observe that the current FEMA Director has stepped down, and the incoming FEMA Director is none other than Marine Peter Gaynor, a patriot. Under the declared national emergency, the FEMA Director under the President can take control of the media (and pretty much everything). The same media we know as being corrupted by the CIA et al, who FEMA also would control and take control of all Federal ABC agencies. The plan is this: Never again will the deep state / shadow government / “Hussein” and “Clintonian” mafia ever come to power. The plan is to restore our God given liberty and freedom. We are all born free.

    1. Show me where in the US Constitution where exactly are “emergency powers” (or “martila law”) DELEGATED to those who serve within our governments. What branch received that delegation of emergency powers? I know where the COURTS DELEGATED THAT POWER, but the courts are also LAWFULLY bound to the US Constitution. We are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, and the “powers” that those who serve within our government are divided, assigned to the different branches and named offices within a branch, within that document. If it is NOT found within that document then the power is NOT delegated, it is criminally usurped.

“Emergency does not create power. Emergency does not increase granted power or remove or diminish the restrictions upon power granted or reserved. The Constitution was adopted in a period of grave emergency. Its grants of power to the Federal Government and its limitations of the power of the States were determined in the light of emergency and they are not altered by emergency.” Home Building & Loan Association v. Blaisdell, 290 U.S. 398, 425 (1934)

“The Constitution of the United States is a law for rulers and people, equally in war and peace, and covers with the shield of its protection all classes of men, at all times, and under all circumstances. No doctrine involving more pernicious consequences was ever invented by the wit of man than that any of its provisions can be suspended during any of the great exigencies of government. Such a doctrine leads directly to anarchy or despotism.” The Supreme Court of the United States, 1866

What we do have is the right to PROTECT and DEFEND our property from others, invsasions, etc, and that the PEOPLE can use those governmental offices that would best be for that problem. Remember, although those who serve within our governments are choosing power over the delegated duties, that is a criminal action on their part. If one is keeping their Oath to support the US Constitution they need to know what that document says, requires, forbids. Who does the US Constitution REQUIRE to stop invasions until, or before a delcaration of war is made by the Congress over the invasions? It is NOT the military because down throughout world history the military is ALWAYS used at one time or another.

Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 15: “To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel invasions.“

Clause 16 makes it very clear that the ARMING OF THE MILITIA OF EACH STATE is a LAWFUL duty assigned to the congress that they are REQUIRED to carry out:

Clause 16: “To provide for organizing, arming and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress”.

Each state’s Militia is made up of “We the People” protecting our own interests, homes, states, nation, and enforcing our governments. The Militia has as its constitutionally assigned duties to:
      • Enforce the US Constitution and each state’s Constitution,
      • Enforce and keep the “Laws of the Union” (which are constitutional laws ONLY),
      • Protect the country against all enemies both domestic and foreign, and
      • “to suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions”.

Isn’t it time that we made those who SERVE WITHIN our governments KEEP the contracts that they are bound to follow? Or does the Oaths and the US Constitution, state Constitutions mean nothing today?

“What, Sir, is the use of a militia? It is to PREVENT THE ESTABLISMENT OF A STANDING ARMY, the bane of liberty….” Rep. Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts, floor debate over the 2nd Amendment, I Annals of Congress

Thomas Jefferson, 1st inaugural, explained that: “a well-disciplined militia” is “our best reliance in peace and for the first moments of war, till regulars may relieve them” and also a guarantee of “the supremacy of the civil over the military authority; [and] economy in the public expense.”

Consider this from Dr. Edwin Vieira: “From the constitutional perspective, “the government” is that set of actions by individuals in public office which is consistent with their lawful powers and disabilities. No “government” in this country [USA] is empowered to set up a police state, to “devise[ ] and instigate[ ]” a “civil war” amongst its own people, to enforce “compliance and control”, or to “clamp down on the nation” for any reason. To be sure, rogue public officials may attempt to engage in such usurpation and tyranny—but in the perpetration of such misbehavior they are acting not in the capacity of “the government”, but in the capacity of lawbreakers. …
… Most perplexing to me is why “the chattering class” seems incapable of comprehending that under the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution no dichotomy can possibly exist between the American people, on the one side, and “the government”, on the other. We the People are not outside of “the government” and subject to its unfettered control. Rather, We the People are the very source of “the government”, and are (or should be) direct participants in “the government”, day in and day out, through the most puissant force of “government” imaginable: the entire community exercising the Power of the Sword through the Militia.
So, were the Militia functioning as they should, no one would be worried about “the government’s” setting up a national para-militarized police state, because—pursuant to the constitutional authority and responsibility of the Militia “to execute the Laws of the Union” (and of their own States as well)—the Militia would perform or supervise all “police” functions at every level of the federal system. We the People would no longer distrust, let alone fear, the police, because We the People would be the police.
… it would hardly amount to any sort of “revolt” for Americans to revitalize the very institutions of government which, from the foundation of this country, the Constitution has declared to be “necessary to the security of a free State”. The “revolt”, if any there were, would be on the part of rogue public officials who attempted to prevent We the People from asserting their supreme governmental authority through the Militia. “

Thomas Cooley: “The right is general. It may be supposed from the phraseology of this provision that the right to keep and bear arms was only guaranteed to the militia; but this would be an interpretation not warranted by the intent. The militia, as has been explained elsewhere, consists of those persons who, under the law, are liable to the performance of military duty, and are officered and enrolled for service when called upon… If the right were limited to those enrolled, the purpose of the guarantee might be defeated altogether by the action or the neglect to act of the government it was meant to hold in check. The meaning of the provision undoubtedly is, that the people, from whom the militia must be taken, shall have the right to keep and bear arms, and they need no permission or regulation of law for that purpose”.

Samuel Adams: “Under every government the last resort of the people, is an appeal to the sword; whether to defend themselves against the open attacks of a foreign enemy, or to check the insidious encroachments of domestic foes. Whenever a people … entrust the defence of their country to a regular, standing army, composed of mercenaries [paid military], the power of that country will remain under the direction of the most wealthy citizens.
And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press, or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; or to raise standing armies, unless necessary for the defense of the United States, or of some one or more of them; or to prevent the people from petitioning, in a peaceable and orderly manner, the federal legislature, for a redress of grievances; or to subject the people to unreasonable searches and seizures of their persons, papers or possessions”.

    2. “Under the declared national emergency…”

There was never delegated “emergency powers”, not to the federal government by the US Constitution, nor in each state’s Constitution. It is NOT THERE. Show me where it is within the document that CREATED the general (federal) government, because that is from where their powers come from.

What, who are the Militia? They, the people, are to be trained as the military is trained (think vets), and bound only to the documents – US Constitution, their own state’s Constitution, but can be used by the fed gov and by the state gov, from which they receive payment for their services.

      1. Cal, Article 1, Section 8 says Congress can make rules for the governance of the Armed Forces. And Article II specifies that the President is the Commander-in- Chief of the Armed Forces, as well as of the militia when called into service.

I agree you won’t find “declaration of emergency” in the Constitution. President Trump could have simply issued an order to the military to defend the nation on the border. Period. And also called up the militia. Both.

And he should not rely on some silly statute passed by Congress in 1976, but instead rely only on his powers and duties under the Constitution, as Commander-in-Chief. That’s all.

  3. Why would an oath keeper promote the President and/or the government in general to get bigger? All those you just suggested will make government way bigger. we need to legalize drugs and stop the welfare state. remember the orange man wants our bump stocks.

    1. How will using the existing military on the border make the government bigger? I’d rather use them on the Southern border with Mexica, defending this nation against the brutal cartels, than to have them all over the globe defending other countries instead of ours, wouldn’t you?

You have a snowball’s chance in Hell of getting rid of the welfare state anytime soon, and especially if/when the Democratic Party has millions of new voters once they flood us with tens of millions more illegal aliens who are more likely to vote Democratic (first illegally and then “legally” once given amnesty) AND take advantage of the exiting welfare state.

Ending the drug war? That would decrease the profits of the cartels, but don’t forget they also trade in human beings. Legalizing the drug war wont’s stop the cartels from charging thousands a head to smuggle illegals into the U.S., and they also force tens of thousands of women and children into sex slavery and bring them across the border to be forced to be sex slave prostitutes here in the U.S. Ending the drug war would not stop that illicit trade.

Now, I do think Trump should advocate for and sign a bill legalizing marijuana at the national level. it is long overdue (I know COPS who smoke weed, right along with many, many combat veterans who smoke it for PTSD), prohibiting it is as absurd as prohibiting alcohol was, with the same outcome of creating a massively lucrative black market. It’s time to end that nonsense, and to leave it to the states (where the overwhelming trend is to legalize it). And that would indeed hurt the profits of the cartels.

And I also think Trump should use his pardon power to set free non-violent drug offender prisoners in federal prison – especially those incarcerated for marijuana possession. Treat that substance abuse the same as we treat alcoholism. That would also strengthen his support across the spectrum because he is actually carrying out “social justice” while the Left just talks about it. Signing the prison sentencing reform was the right thing to do, and pardoning and setting free non-violent drug offenders would also be the right thing to do, and would further put the lie to the mainstream media propaganda that he is a racist, heartless, authoritarian.

Now standby for all the drug. warriors to scream at me! LOL.

      Stewart Rhodes

      1. You are spot on. The only reason pot is illegal was to accommodate a political favor making paper from timber rather than hemp. Hemp fiber is far superior to timber fiber. Legislating morality is always a fail. Follow the money.

      2. “I’d rather use them on the Southern border with Mexica, defending this nation against the brutal cartels, than to have them all over the globe defending other countries instead of ours, wouldn’t you? ”

Actually the US Military is not being used LAWFULLY in other nations or here. Read the US Constitution, a standing (permanent) military is forbidden, and must be called forth from the militarily trained Militia when a Declaration of War from those who actually serve within the Congress. Why compound the breaking of our legitimate government even more? All veterans qualify as the Militia, and if used to stop invasions are to be paid by the government that called them forth for that purpose – can be state or fed.

        1. Ah, no. A standing army is not forbidden. Not at all. It is required that Congress fund it every two years, which is a check on it but there is NOTHING in the Constitution that says a “standing army is forbidden.’ Show me where. You can’t because it’s not there. It is true that in times of peace the historic pattern was that the standing Army shrank down to a small core, with professional career officers and NCOs, but it never went away. Show me any time in our history when the US Army did not exist continuously. Again you can’t.

The U.S. Army has ALWAYS existed ever since its founding. You can read some of that history here:

And the President CAN deploy the Army, USMC, etc on the border on his own order, in defense of the nation, without waiting for a declaration of war from Congress. He doesn’t need a declaration of war to defend this nation on its own borders. Never has. It would be silly to argue that he has to wait for a declaration of war to repel an invasion, or that he can’t use the Army to prevent illegal entry into our nation, right along with using the militia. And long before the border patrol existed (founded in 1924) the U.S. Army, Texas Rangers, National Guard, and militia all patrolled the border.

I’m all about revitalizing the militia, and using it, but let’s not make argument that are not accurate Cal.

I asked Dr. Edwin Vieira to write up exactly what President Trump can, and should do, to secure the border. When he is finished, I will post it on this site for all to read, and we will work to get it in front of the President.

          1. My understanding of reading the US Constitution is that cpaitalization means something, every single word means something, the position in a list means something, etc. Is this wrong? What about what the framers and forefathers wrote conerning armies, etc? I am not saying you are incorrect entirely, but we do seem to disagree on what some of the framers writings mean. I believe that the reason for a constitutional requirement for the Militia is so that there would be no need for a permanent (standing) military, yet militarily trained populace would be available and already being used to become a military when actually needed. Why? From the framers own words is that a permanent military would soon break the government from the cost of maintaining it, from the excuses that would be used so that the military would be used to prove that it is a needed expense, and because – sooner or later – that military throughout history is always used against its own people. Those were the main reasons (as I understood their writings) that there was to be no standing (permanent) military.

Look at us now, using the US military for UN war efforts (unlawful that a foreign entity use our military), for forcing other nations to do as those in power within the US want, etc. Without a congressional declaration of war there can be MO LAWFUL military action unless our nation is under armed attack on US soil. Am I wrong?

Our military is so huge it is the biggest expenditure our nation has, yet there has NOT been a Congressionally declared war since WW2. Panetta and Dempsey gave the use of the US military to the UN (treason and unconstitutional, nor do they, or anyone else have that power). There are still military in our prisons who KEPT their Oaths today.

Look at the Pentagon, the “new” MILITARY branch of our US government – where is that delegated power for the creation of that branch found within the US Constitution? I have never found it, think that unlawful branch and the defense contractors might just be a huge part of what is wrong in America today?

What about ALL (civil included) Oath takers KEEPING their Oath to the US Constitution, you know, to support and defend it against ALL enemies, including DOMESTIC ONES? Why is Oathkeepers not teaching the meaning of the Oath, the responsibilities of Oath takers, basic US Constitution so that all who take the Oath to support and defend actually know what it says?

Sorry all, I have been in the fight for our LEGITIMATE government waaay too long.

US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, … the Congress have Power

            To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

            To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

            To provide and maintain a Navy;

            To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;

            To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress; Etc

George Washington, ex General, ex US President: “And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press, or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; OR TO RAISE STANDING ARMIES, UNLESS NECESSARY FOR THE DEFENSE OF THE UNITED STATES, or of some one or more of them; or to prevent the people from petitioning, in a peaceable and orderly manner, the federal legislature, for a redress of grievances; or to subject the people to unreasonable searches and seizures of their persons, papers or possessions.” (Debates of the Massachusetts Convention of February 6, 1788; Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 1788 (Pierce & Hale, eds., Boston, 1850))

George Washington, “Sentiments on a Peace Establishment”, letter to Alexander Hamilton; “The Writings of George Washington”: “It may be laid down, as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every citizen who enjoys the protection of a free government…, but even of his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency.”

Rawl: “the powers not delegated to congress by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people [quoting the 10th Amendment]. What we are about to consider are certainly not delegated to congress, nor are they noticed in the prohibitions to states; they are therefore reserved either to the states or to the people. Their high nature, their necessity to the general security and happiness will be distinctly perceived.”
“In the second article, it is declared, that a well regulated militia is necessary to a free state; a proposition from which few will dissent. ALTHOUGH IN ACTUAL WAR, IN THE SERVICES OF REGULAR TROOPS ARE CONFESSEDLY MORE VALUABLE; YET WHILE PEACE PREVAILS, AND IN THE COMMENCEMENT OF A WAR BEFORE A REGULAR FORCE CAN BE RAISED, the militia form the palladium of the country. They are ready to repel invasion, to suppress insurrection, and preserve the good order and peace of government. That they should be well regulated, is judiciously added. A disorderly militia is disgraceful to itself, and dangerous not to the enemy, but to its own country. The duty of the state government is, to adopt such regulation as will tend to make good soldiers with the least interruptions of the ordinary and useful occupations of civil life. In this all the Union has a strong and visible interest.”

James Madison: “In time of actual war, great discretionary powers are constantly given to the Executive Magistrate. Constant apprehension of War, has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.”

Sam Adams explained that every colonist had the inherent right to certain things under the laws of nature: “Among the natural rights of the Colonists are these: first, a right to life; secondly, to liberty; thirdly, to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can.”

James Madison: “Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. In war, too, the discretionary power of the Executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices, honors, and emoluments is multiplied: and all the means of seducing the minds, are added to those of subduing the force, of the people. The same malignant aspect in republicanism may be traced in the inequality of fortunes, and the opportunities of fraud, growing out of a state of war, and in the degeneracy of manners and of morals, engendered by both. No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”

            God Bless!

        2. Cal, our founders actually discussed this. They suggested that a small core Governmental Militia be at the ready so that the We the People Militia could be revitalized and attached in a moments notice. You are great at referencing this stuff, my bet is you could find it.

  4. It’s stated above, “President Trump is getting TERRIBLE advice from his staff and cabinet.”

I couldn’t agree more! Trump is very intelligent and is capable of making good decisions. But he can only do so based upon good input which he receives from his Cabinet and his staff. Did they tell him about the 2 “poison pills” in this budget bill? One gives a de facto sanctuary to any illegal alien who lives in a household with an unaccompanied alien child or who may sponsor a UAC; such a person cannot be removed or even recommended for removal — absolutely ridiculous! The other allocates money to build a border fence only in part of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and then gives local politicians of border communities the authority to deny construction of the fence (never mind that it’s not the style wall which Border Patrol wants). Those 3 counties in Texas voted more than 3 to 1 for Hillary in 2016, and about half their populations are illegal aliens. No border wall is getting built there!

These people in government today don’t seem to have the resolve to protect our country. They seem to be lacking in true strength and determination. How can they read about the horrific acts of violence the cartel members commit on a regular basis against their enemies or innocent people who get in their way and NOT declare them to be terrorists? One cartel leader, who has since been killed by the Mexican army, was known to feed kidnapped people to his lions and tigers. This is exactly what Saddam Hussein’s son would do. He would also eat parts of his victims — disgusting. The cartel members videotape their torture and killing of people and put the videos out there. They have hung the bodies of people they have killed in the town square to intimidate the good people. Initiation into a cartel sometimes requires ingesting a victim’s heart. They cut up people while still alive. Mass graves are constantly being found in Mexico. Cartel members have even gone after people on social media who spoke out against them!

WHAT MORE must the cartels do in order for our government to declare them terrorist organizations? The extreme violence and the bribery of public officials is already happening in the border counties of the U.S. Read about the criminal prosecutions of politicians and even a policeman in the Rio Grande Valley. And those cases are the ones who got caught.

Can OK leadership meet with some currently serving military leadership for the purpose of briefing them on the reality of the cartels’ operations and violence, and to encourage them to acknowledge the fact that the cartels are no different than ISIS? I think if OK’s veterans approach the military commanders, they will be listened to. And then the military can present evidence to Trump that the cartels must be treated the same as ISIS. That means sending our military into Mexico, hopefully in a joint operation with the Mexican military — they probably have valuable intel on cartel leaders’ locations, for example — or at least with the Mexican government ordering their military to stand down while the Americans take care business. It just becomes clearer day by day that there will be no peace on the border as long as the cartels are allowed to operate.

      1. Mr. Rhodes, please see my 3 posts this evening at the bottom of this article, which contain links to several articles to substantiate my statements in my above post. As far as the mass graves constantly being found in Mexico, I supplied only 2 articles, but there are accounts in the media of many more mass graves discovered, as well as many people who have vanished. Hope this info is helpful. Thank you to you and all OK members for joining this fight for our nation’s sovereignty. May God bless you. Please contact me if you require any further research. I’m happy to help.

  5. Wow, that was one of the best InfoWars shows ever! Stewart Rhodes and Matt Bracken as guests. Terrific! Everyone, watch it on the InfoWars channel on Brighteon. I learned so much and really enjoyed the discussions. President Trump REALLY needs to speak with Mr. Rhodes to understand what his powers are under the Constitution and as the military’s Commander in Chief. Agree with Mr. Bracken that Trump bought us some time, but this country is still heading toward trouble. Looking forward to Mr. Rhodes hosting part of InfoWars this coming week, will be sure to watch.

One comment: in today’s modern world, please don’t exclude us women from being part of the militia. We too are patriots who want to preserve freedom and liberty for the next generations. I’ve heard that for every infantryman in the Army there are 10 support personnel, so we women can certainly do our part to help in the militia — in comms, supply, computer work, transport, KP or other functions. Plus some women are quite skilled with firearms (not me, but some are). We women will proudly answer the call and do our duty, if asked by the Governor or the President.

  6. I am really disappointed, in Trump not doing a lot more putting Hillary an all the
crooks in jail, I voted for Trump. but i am considering not voting for anyone anymore,
they all turn out to be liars, an the IRS is a program to still peoples money,
Rich men don’t care about US the people that actually ,built America,
I keep my hope & faith in the one who well do what his word says. ( The Bible )
    his name is Jesus Christ.

    1. As long as you are keeping some faith, you might consider the Trump prophecy . Also remember there are many deep staters who post on all web blogs ( including this one) to cast doubt and aspersions on Trump. Imagine the “state of the union” had any other candidate but Trump succeeded. Had it been Cruz, he’d be dead,. Had it been Hitlery, recall the 1950’s nuclear threat, only it would actually be happening. In fact, there would be no free internet or any other media by which to express our opinions. I’m just as critical as others regarding certain aspects, but I count our blessing and stand firm behind my Commander in Chief. Stay faithful. God Bless You

  7. I’ve had it with this guy. The bad advice story has worn too thin. He has to be held accountable for this. It has been over two years now and it’s still going on – I’m no longer buying it!
As long as the American people allow AIPAC and other groups like HIAS call the shots by buying off corrupt sellout politicians the country is just going to go further and further down the toilet.

  8. I agree, he is a major disappointment.
I know things are discouraging, but hang in there and stay active and keep voting on some levels, at least.
If we don’t quit we will win, over time.

  9. The US and global construction sector is one of the most dangerous, toughest business environments in the world. In that sector, the ability to deter or defeat enemies, many who wouldn’t think twice about attacking you or your family, isn’t just a question of good strategy, it’s a question of survival. Schiller has been Trump’s feared Director of Security, since 2004. A law enforcement veteran himself, Schiller had assembled a private army of ultra loyal PIs, ex-cops, FBI agents, spooks, military veterans and detectives, al well before Trump began his GOP primary run, in 2015. Trump probably planned his presidential run between thirty to forty years ago. Trump is on record as considering and rejecting it as a ‘mean’ life in 1980. In hindsight, his 2000 campaign is better understood as a preliminary ‘taste’, rather than a serious attempt. Trump’s Praetorian will continue to rain hell on Trump’s enemies, who are terrified at what’s coming. Some of us may not approve of these tactics in normal times, but as we all know, these are not normal times.

On another note, the murdering blood letting, adrenochrome leaching pedophiles, baby killing, child and human traffickers, etc, have been arrested and corralled in record numbers. These crimes are happening at your neighbors,. Some are spilling the beans on others. Consider the information that came from Harvey Weinstein alone! Does anyone see the significance of all the congressional member departures who for no apparent reason step down? Why? Trump and his intelligence gathering for 30+
years. Paul Ryan giving up his political career as Speaker of the House. Think about that. “Thus, what enables the wise sovereign and the good general to strike and conquer, and achieve things beyond the reach of ordinary men, is foreknowledge.”

Forget not the hundreds of fine military officers that Obama fired and forced out. Recall Trump during his campaign repeatedly exclaiming the “those fine…those great generals.” Trumps owns the Marine Corp. A portions of those great Generals were and still are assisting in the intelligence operations behind Trump. Way beyond Trumps cabinet which is window dressing are the operatives in the shadows.

The cartels and MS 13 are being dismantled. The democrats / deep state/ shadow government traitors are shredding themselves. The wall is being built.

  10. This is what I’ve learned from one who is much wiser than I regarding building the wall and authorization of Military/Nat Guard/Militia as well as the authorization of the “National Emergency”
As I understand it the Present needs no authorization to proceed with the building of the wall or use of the military, he need no congressional approval or anything else. It is his DUTY under the Constitution to protect the States from invasion. Regardless of what the progs and talking heads espouse, It’s his job as President as well as CIC at his discretion.

  11. Our country is so far off the rails and into communism, it will take some tough love to restore it. Welfare has to go, its bleeding the working people dry of their property, and rewarding idiots to breed more idiots who will continue to vote themselves other people’s money and more tyranny. I say give everyone; corporate and otherwise a year to wean themselves off of this egregiously unlawful theft of others property and then that is it. Help redirect them during this time and offer education. We may as well throw in all inessential unconstitutional government workers who are also parasites on the working people. If they riot, kill them all. None of them deserve to live in America. This may sound harsh, but the average person is asked to sacrifice their property, their labor, and even their lives and well being for miscreants who have a choice just like everyone else to be a positive contribution instead of a parasite. It is either us or them, they are destroying the average American a little more every day, we have compromised ourselves to death and we have no other choices any more, and no room for negotiation.

The corrupt government keeps them around to fund all their unlawful racketeering schemes, the average working person can barely feed themselves and this has to stop asap. We can never restore our republic if all of this unconstitutional criminality continues. If your boat is leaking, using a pan to bail out the water is only a temporary fix until you repair the holes. If the holes are not repaired, the ship will sink, and we are sinking at an exponential rate every minute.

Because our parents and their parents and the average person today continually fails to check the gross metamorphosis into communism and despotism, only harsh remedies remain to treat this festering disease that will destroy everyone if not acted on soon. We are pretty much out of time and have allowed the communist infiltration of our country and our kids indoctrinated, just like Mao did, to turn on their parents and their nation.

By not keeping God’s law, given to us by the divine in the form of our founding documents, we have opened the gates to evil and our own destruction.

All who have taken a sworn oath to uphold the constitution need to follow thru, almost all states’ public officials are corrupt, as well as on a national level. The people have no redress for their grievances, nor help to restore our Constitution. We need law enforcement to help us. Self executing sections 3 and 4 of the 14th amendment provide for the removal from office of all oath takers who violate their oath. Who is going to see this through and escort them out of office? The pen is mightier than the sword, we have been enslaved by a mountain of words which bastardize divine law, its called legalese, and its all unconstitutional, therefore null, void and without effect.

Congress does not even pretend to listen to the people any more, what do they know that we do not? They are domestic enemy terrorists except for a few, and if the people were fulfilling their duties and responsibilities as American citizens, would be in prison or a mental institution, not congress. We must peacefully as possible remove all traitors from our country and start over or nothing will change. The supreme law of the land must be enforced, not ignored any more.

I agree that it is absurd for Trump to not openly claim his jurisdiction and authority under the constitution and educate the masses about the rule of law. He could also with one edict declare everything unconstitutional, null and void which would remove all laws and policies as well as the u n and nato in one fell swoop

We have to focus on solutions now, and come together as a united, free people, under God, put all the ego aside, and allow ourselves to be divinely guided, as our founders were, to re establish a perfect union, for freedom and responsibility are two sides of the same coin. Anyone have any solutions?

    1. Sovereign, what you have described is actually Fascism, not Communism. That’s not to say, we won’t head into Communism via Fascism, but that the cozy relationship between corporations and government is that of fascism. In fact, they are starting an Agenda 21 film and it gets to the core of this alignment.

From an Environmental perspective it makes no sense to concentrate the populations into small city centers. From a Control perspective it does. All true environmental problems are essentially dislocation and concentration of resources. What I just described is the first Empire of Rome. Augustus created a Centralized Bank so that his Generals had to make the profits go through Rome. The notion was to bring them under Centralized control, so that they didn’t have cause to habitually start civil wars between themselves and outside influences.

Rome at that time had created several trade alliances, which flowed resources to Rome (All roads lead to Rome), and allowed for the protections that only Rome could provide. Sound Familiar? This is exactly what Stewart is talking about now. “Protect our borders first!” Furthermore, this Presidential Declaration is somewhat the equivalent of the NAZI “Enabling Act.” The further we slide down that road the worse it will be for our country.

You mentioned Cultural Change is necessary, and you are right. All Welfare is Corporate Welfare. Think about where the money goes after the government distributes it to the people. Look at all these cozy public private contracts for corporations. Holy Agenda 21, Batman! Think about the why our finest people are spilling blood in countries with the resources, and how it came to be. We often hear, “Security in the region.” Security for whom?

During the Nuremberg trials the German corporate leaders were asked “how they escaped prosecution?” Answer, “We had a fiduciary responsibility to our people to make the most profit possible.” Sound Familiar? Point is, this scourge has pervaded our society so thoroughly, that we may never eradicate all vestiges completely. The question is, “How do we divide common folk from their panacea like comfort pograms? Drug, money, false state secured safety? Where do we start and how do we eradicate it completely?

I could get into a whole spiel on environmental issues being used for control. I have a degree in it. However, I leave you with this simple research that shows how the concentration of resources are poisoning your house worse than city centers. BTW, this should be used for the Agenda 21 movie.

  12. This recent article contains info about the horrific violence of 4 Mexican cartels: Los Zetas, La Familia Michoacana, Jalisco New Generation, and Sinaloa.

Inside Mexico’s drug gangs who force members to eat the hearts of their victims
    January 20, 2019

Mexico’s drug gangs are believed to be responsible for around 150,000 deaths that involve some of the most appalling torture and depravity imaginable.

But some barbaric factions of the gangs are believed to have even turned cannibal and actually eaten parts of their rivals. And in a particularly twisted initiation ritual, young members of the Jalisco New Generation cartel were forced to eat the hearts of murder victims.

Los Zetas cocaine kingpin Heriberto Lazcano, who was killed in a shootout with Mexican Marines in 2012, was notorious for feeding victims to the lions and tigers he kept on his ranch. But it was his practice of eating human flesh that thrust him into international headlines two years ago….

Mexican drug cartels are worse than ISIL
    October 20, 2014
    by Musa al-Gharbi

    Some excerpts:

While the Islamic militants have killed a handful of journalists, the cartels murdered as many as 57 since 2006 for reporting on cartel crimes or exposing government complicity with the criminals. Many of Mexico’s media have been effectively silenced by intimidation or bribes. These censorship activities extend beyond professional media, with narcos tracking down and murdering ordinary citizens who criticize them on the Internet, leaving their naked and disemboweled corpses hanging in public squares.

In 2013 drug cartels murdered more than 16,000 people in Mexico alone, and another 60,000 from 2006 to 2012 — a rate of more than one killing every half hour for the last seven years.

Statistics alone do not convey the depravity and threat of the cartels. They carry out hundreds of beheadings every year. In addition to decapitations, the cartels are known to dismember and otherwise mutilate the corpses of their victims — displaying piles of bodies prominently in towns to terrorize the public into compliance. They routinely target women and children to further intimidate communities. Like ISIL, the cartels use social media to post graphic images of their atrocious crimes.

The cartels killed 293 Americans in Mexico from 2007 to 2010 and have repeatedly attacked U.S. consulates in Mexico.

The cartels’ atrocities are not restricted to the Mexican side of the border. From 2006 to 2010 as many as 5,700 Americans were killed in the U.S. by cartel-fueled drug violence. … Narcos have infiltrated at least 3,000 U.S. cities and are recruiting many Americans …

  13. Mexico sets record with more than 33,000 homicides in 2018
    Jan. 22, 2019

There were 33,341 homicides in 2018 … Many of the homicides are linked to drug cartel violence.

Last year also proved a deadly one for reporters in Mexico, with nine journalists killed in 2018. One has already been killed in 2019.

Cops Find 69 Bodies in Cartel Mass Grave in Mexico
by Ildefonso Ortiz and Brandon Darby
    16 Feb 2019

Mexican authorities in the western coastal state of Colima have discovered 69 bodies in a series of mass graves. Cartel gunmen used the graves to dispose of their victims. The discovery came after two cartel gunmen led authorities to the site in hopes of receiving a lesser sentence.

The bodies of at least 166 people were found in Eastern Mexico after 30 days of investigation
    Sept. 7, 2018

The bodies of at least 166 people have been found in the Mexican state of Veracruz, prosecutors said on Thursday, the latest in a string of grim discoveries made in the eastern region in recent years….

Veracruz has long been racked by violent crime and is an important trafficking route for drug gangs moving narcotics north towards the U.S. border.

Lawlessness in Veracruz spiked under former governor Javier Duarte. … Duarte is in jail awaiting trial on allegations of involvement with organized crime and siphoning off millions of dollars during his tenure. He denies any wrongdoing.

  14. Spending Bill Allows Mexican Cartel-Connected Texas Counties to Stop Border Wall
by Ildefonso Ortiz and Brandon Darby
    14 Feb 2019

The three counties where the border barriers were expected to be built are Starr, Hidalgo, and Cameron — three counties that in less than 20 years have seen five sheriffs and numerous top law enforcement officials sent to prison for receiving bribes from the Mexican Gulf Cartel, or other acts of public corruption.

The following are a few of the top law enforcement officials who were sent to prison or are currently being tried in corruption cases: …

From Mr. Daniel Horowitz’s twitter feed on Feb. 14th:

This bill only allows border wall construction in Starr, Hidalgo, and Cameron Counties. They went 79-19, 68-27, 64-32 for Hillary respectively. I don’t know if there’s a single elected Republican there. This bill gives veto power to local officials.

5 insane provisions in the amnesty omnibus bill
    by Daniel Horowitz
    February 14, 2019

    2) Liberal local officials have veto power over wall: Actually, on second thought, it’s likely that not a single mile of fence will be built. … With whom must the feds consult? “The local elected officials.” Now you can understand the brilliance of limiting the wall to the Rio Grande Valley. These are the most liberal counties on the border (thanks to demographics of open borders itself!), and there is practically no local official who supports the wall in these counties.

  15. Let’s keep in mind (and in our prayers) the tens of thousands of “forced disappearances” in Mexico, including about 15,000 missing young people. Most all are presumed dead. Mexican officials think there are over 1100 burial sites, yet undiscovered. We Americans do not want this in our country!

Mexico reveals new strategy to search for those missing in drug war
    Feb. 5, 2019
    by Carina Garcia

Mexican officials on Monday presented a new plan to search for the tens of thousands of people who have disappeared during the country’s drug war …

The government estimates more than 40,000 people have gone missing in Mexico, and there are about 26,000 unidentified bodies in the forensic system … Officials believe there are more than 1,100 hidden burial sites in the country. “Unfortunately our territory has become a huge clandestine grave,” said Alejandro Encinas, the undersecretary for human rights in the interior ministry. …

The government will pay special attention to migrants, who account for about 8 to 10 percent of the missing.

“It’s a Crisis of Civilization in Mexico.” 250,000 Dead. 37,400 Missing.

    1. @ AM. Unfortunately, complicit is our entertainment industry that has captivated the majority of the population who never ever study news and politics, can’t read, but sure are good at complaining about their miserable lives. The entertainment industry has brainwashed their minds and concurrently the lack of education adds to their unforgivable ignorance. It is worse than pathetic, since these fools vote for more misery, turn their backs on all the unconstitutional legalese, and seem to think their should be a law to fix everything. And it turns out, there is law against about any natural human activity. Thus we are slaves.

Mexico is as your articles pointed out. As an example of how pervasive the cartel animals are, an employee of mine, who came to the USA legitimately to escape the cartels that were running his home town in Mexico, was ultimately found and murdered because he had unknowingly slept with a cartel lady friend, so there was a hit out for him. They found him in the LA area, but he escaped by literally running for his life in the cover of the dark desert. They hadn’t locked the back door to an abandoned home. It took the cartel another 15 years to find him, but they succeeded. That is how it works in Mexico and has crept into the framework of our everyday lives. Of course, there is the group who says it does not affect them, or it’s not so bad, but as we see, it costs in lives and our economy.

We are all born a free man.

      1. WGP, thank you for reading my post. Agree with you completely that the entertainment industry brainwashes our population. I’m so sorry about what happened to your employee / friend. May he rest in peace. This senseless killing of innocent people has become too commonplace. I so wish that our government would wipe out these evil cartels and liberate the good people of Mexico and save lives in our country as well. All my best to you!

  16. This opinion piece in a Mexican publication says that the Mexican government allocated MXN $7,600 million over a 3-year period (between 2015 and 2018) toward operations to dismantle the drug cartels in Jalisco. However, instead of weakening, the cartels consolidated during that time. The Mexican government is making attempts to combat the cartels, but it has thus far been unsuccessful.

    Security: A Failed Legacy
The presence and control drug cartels possess over large regions of the country can only be explained by their power to corrupt the authorities

Found 2 articles which document that the cartels went after social media users, plus that the cartels target journalists. One is about how Los Zetas cartel killed a couple who spoke out against them. This happened back in 2011, but the threatening and killing of journalists, the suppression of media coverage of the cartels, and the intimidation of social media posters had an effect which continues today.

Mexico Drug War Attacks Social Media Users; Bodies Hung from Nuevo Laredo Bridge
    September 14, 2011
    By Andrew O’Reilly

The bloodied bodies of a man and a woman were found hanging from a bridge in the northeast Mexican border town of Nuevo Laredo Tuesday, along with two posters left nearby warning social media users about reporting on the drug war.

Bloggers who write about Mexico’s ongoing drug war have been threatened in the past, but this is believed to be the first time that users of social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook have been targeted by the cartels. The posters also called out by name two blogs that report on drug violence, Al Rojo Vivo and Blog del Narco.

“That will happen to all of them,” read the text on one of the posters. It was signed with the letter “Z,” which is usually associated with the Zetas drug cartel….

Along with politicians and law enforcement, journalists and now social media users have been under attack for covering incidents involving Mexico’s drug cartels. In many parts of the country, especially in the north, media outlets have implemented a self-imposed blackout of coverage of the drug war….

The new threat to social media users also puts in jeopardy one of the few ways people in Mexico can obtain news about the drug war. Since the self-imposed media blackout, many citizens often rely on social networks for information about shootouts or other drug violence.

Media as Both Weapon and Defense in the Mexican Drug War
The impact of social media and the press on the drug war, and vice versa.
    by Lauren Kirchner
    Mar 11, 2014

… The Mexican press has suffered great losses during the years of drug-related violence. When cartels commit crimes, the reporters who cover them often face threats. Cartels also often want to use the press to broadcast their own messages of intimidation to the public — if news outlets comply, they may suffer retaliation from rival groups. According to the press freedom organization Reporters Without Borders, 88 journalists were killed in Mexico between 2000 and the end of 2013, and 18 others have disappeared. The group blames those deaths and kidnappings on not only the criminal organizations in the country but on the “complicity of corrupt local, and sometimes federal, officials.” …

In late 2011, The New York Times reported on how people in border towns were using Twitter in the absence of local news. Twitter was how people in Veracruz knew to avoid a downtown area where gangsters dumped dozens of bodies of their enemies on the street during rush hour. …

As the Times recounted in 2011, two writers for local blogs that covered cartel violence were murdered in Nuevo Laredo, with notes left on the bodies accusing them of being “Internet snitches.”

  17. Excellent article on the Texas District & County Attorneys Association website describes widespread corruption of public officials in the Rio Grande Valley. Funny that the budget bill specifies this precise area to build the fence, and gives local officials the right of denial.

    Public Corruption in the Valley
by Bernard Ammerman, County and District Attorney in Willacy County
    Some excerpts:
The lower Rio Grande Valley is a world apart from other places in Texas. It includes Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy Counties….

Estimates tie five to 10 percent of the Valley’s economy to illegal activity, primarily drugs. As the Rio Grande Valley thrives from the illegal trade, much money is readily available to corrupt public officials….

In 2013, more public officials were convicted of federal crimes in South Texas than in any other place in the nation: 83 such convictions stemmed from drug smuggling, vote stealing, courthouse bribery, and the like. Corruption devours South Texas public officials.

In the past two decades, no fewer than five Valley sheriffs have been convicted of receiving bribes from drug traffickers. … The list also includes [a] Mission Police Department Officer. … He pleaded guilty to escorting narcotics for criminals, laundering money, and stealing drugs to later sell. … What is amazing is that over the past two years, his entire unit of 13 officers went to prison for similar acts.

The convictions affect all facets of government, from legislators and judges to school board members, county commissioners, auditors, and mayors throughout the Valley….

Corruption in the Valley is endemic. “In the Valley we don’t just tolerate corrupt government, we vote for it!” reads a local bumper sticker….

The Rio Grande Valley is in a state of metamorphosis. … It has also become a channel for the flow of billions of dollars — a second, under-the-radar economy — generated by drug-trafficking.

  18. I agree with you 100% Stewart. The influx of drugs, illegal aliens and human trafficking across our southern border is, and has been, nothing less than a hostile invasion and an attack on U.S. sovereignty. Our “border” has been effectively penetrated and pushed back miles from where it actually is – no unarmed Americans can even go there anymore. I certainly hope he reconsiders – there are definitely Deep state actors in thwe West Wing and he needs to flush them out before they do any more damage!

  19. She Tweeted Against the Mexican Cartels, They Tweeted Her Murder
No newspaper dares to publish the truth about the drug lords in Tamaulipas. Those who break the silence on Twitter and Facebook are marked for death.
    by Jason McGahan
She was a crusading Twitter journalist in a bastion of organized crime who … christened herself Felina [of] Reynosa, a border city in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas located a short drive from McAllen, Texas. Tamaulipas is notorious as a state caught in the iron grip of organized crime. Extortion, kidnappings, shootouts, arson, bodies excavated from arid pits, all of this happens in Tamaulipas, practically on a daily basis, but hardly any of it gets reported because of a media blackout the cartels decreed four years ago that is as strictly enforced as martial law after a coup.

Two rival drug cartels in Tamaulipas, the Gulf Cartel and the Zetas, have final say over what gets printed or broadcast in the local media. By necessity the people of the state increasingly have turned to social media to share information about organized crime and its infiltration of the government. They are referred to as citizen journalists … Felina was an administrator for Valor por Tamaulipas (which means Courage for Tamaulipas), the most popular citizen news hub in the state, with more than 100,000 followers on Twitter and over half a million on Facebook.

Understandably the narcos wanted to know the real identities of Felina and her companeros at Valor por Tamaulipas. A year and a half ago, a cartel had hundreds of leaflets distributed throughout Tamaulipas offering a reward of 600,000 pesos (about $48,000 at the time) for anyone who would divulge the names of the site’s administrators. At around the same time there were videos posted online of executions of individuals alleged to be contributors to the site….

Felina nevertheless continued to post a high volume of news alerts to the site at the hashtag #ReynosaFollow. Until early in the morning of Thursday, Oct. 16, when this message from Felina was posted: #ReynosaFollow FRIENDS AND FAMILY, MY REAL NAME IS MARIA DEL ROSARIO FUENTES RUBIO. I AM A PHYSICIAN. TODAY MY LIFE HAS COME TO AN END.

The next message, sent moments later, is supposedly her warning friends and family not to make the same mistake she did, using social media to report on organized crime, because “there is no point.” The message after that is a warning to her followers and to three prominent citizen journalists that the cartels “are closer to us than you think.” The last message sent from Felina’s account is not written but rather consists of two photos: in the first, a middle-aged woman keeps her hands folded in front of her and looks directly at the camera; in the second the same woman is lying on a dirty floor with a coup de grace bullet wound in the face. The founder of Valor por Tamaulipas confirmed that the photos are of Felina….

The state prosecutor’s office in Tamaulipas confirmed that a Dr. Maria del Rosario Fuentes Rubio was reported kidnapped on the day before the photos and messages were posted to Felina’s Twitter account. Officially the case remains a kidnapping because, according to the coroner’s office, the body of the woman in the photographs has yet to be recovered.

The founder of Valor por Tamaulipas posted a statement on the site expressing grief at the loss of “an angel who gave everything, her life, her future, her safety and peace, she gave it all for the good people of our state.”

  20. A good article from late 2014 about the well-known widespread corruption of public officials in the Rio Grande Valley, where the new budget bill allows local officials to deny construction of border fencing:
Special FBI-led task force investigating public corruption in the Valley
    by Aaron Nelsen
    Dec. 11, 2014
McALLEN — The FBI has launched a special investigative unit to root out public corruption in the Rio Grande Valley in response to the high number of charges and convictions here in recent years. “We’re going after school boards, county commissioners, tax assessment offices, health care fraud, anywhere public money is received,” said FBI Supervisory Special Agent Rock Stone….

The unit is putting special emphasis on Hidalgo and Starr counties. Corruption scandals in just the past few years have toppled officials in school districts, local governments, courthouses and law enforcement.

Though quantifying corruption is inexact, the perception here and across the state is that the problem is pervasive. The issue of public corruption on the border even became a flashpoint during the Texas gubernatorial race when Atty. Gen. Greg Abbott in a campaign speech about his border security plan drew comparisons between recent scandals in Hidalgo County and Cameron County to third world practices.

The controversies did not escape the attention of the FBI, which announced the Rio Grande Valley Border Corruption Task Force this week to tackle what it recognizes as a serious problem….

Among the biggest scandals to hit Hidalgo County involved a street-level drug task force unit, called the Panama Unit. Some members were caught in 2012 stealing shipments from drug dealers and selling them to rivals. Amid the fallout, nine former Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies and Mission police detectives pleaded guilty or were convicted, including the county sheriff’s son and the Hidalgo police chief’s son. The case hastened the downfall of Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino, who was sentenced to five years in federal prison for money laundering this year.

A former Cameron County district attorney was sentenced to 13 years in prison for his role in a cash-for-favors corruption scheme that brought down a state district judge and former state representative.
