SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – A U.S. federal judge ruled on Monday that Facebook Inc must face a class action lawsuit alleging that the social network unlawfully used a facial recognition process on photos without user permission.
The ruling adds to the privacy woes that have been mounting against Facebook for weeks, since it was disclosed that the personal information of millions of users was harvested by the political consultancy Cambridge Analytica.
U.S. District Judge James Donato ruled in San Francisco federal court that a class action was the most efficient way to resolve the dispute over facial templates.
Facebook said it was reviewing the ruling. āWe continue to believe the case has no merit and will defend ourselves vigorously,ā the company said in a statement.

America is a dying cancer (Communism) patient. FB simply spread the disease…while taking out the immune system.
VERY TRUE. WE SHOULD HAVE LOCKED THE CLOSET DOORS BEFORE ANY VERMIN GOT OUT!!!!
I seriously feel that this will do anything to put FB in line. More like a subversion for people to look else where and not pay any attention to the Globalist giant. We have no plans, they are playing us and have been for many moons. I can see that the patriot movement has no real plan and maybe that is the reason the response on OK’ers used to be much greater. I think they our fellows are waiting silently on the side line and waiting for the time that I am sure will come.
Seems to me there could be a bit of Similarity between Facebook’s methodology and the FBI’s age old COINTELPRO program.
