Open Invitation to Oath Keepers Mississippi Chapter Meeting, July 29, 2017

My name is Stefen Oakes I’m reaching out to the patriots in Mississippi to come to an open Oath Keepers meeting Saturday, July 29th 2017 at 1:00pm – 3pm, at the Olive Garden in D’Iberville, MS located at  3882 Promenade Parkway.

The meeting is open to all patriots who believe they have a calling to preserve our constitution and also help their community in times of need.  This is an official Oath Keepers meeting, but you don’t have to be a member of Oath Keepers to attend.   (NOTE: we will have follow up meetings for members only, where you will need your national membership to attend, but not for this one).

The meeting will discuss the mission of Oath Keepers, who we are, and what we stand for. We will cover our mission as a national organization, as well as a local chapter and how we are able to uphold our oath to the United States Constitution. Many Oath keepers like myself took an oath when we enlisted to protect and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.

For me that oath was taken when I enlisted in the Marine Corps on my path of becoming an explosive ordinance technician (EOD) and it is still is a oath I will uphold today. Even after the Marine Corps when I went to work for Dyncorp (private contractor) for 2 years I still kept my oath of enlistment.

With Dyncorp I traveled to  Chad, Africa, Lybia, and Kandahar. In early 2015 I felt a need to still serve my country and be part of something that was in the best interest of the United States and our freedoms.  That is when I joined Oath Keepers.

Since being in Oath Keepers I participated in border operations in south Texas, worked overwatch and provided intel on the riots in Baton Rouge, and was selected to become the assistant leader of the Louisiana Baton Rouge Oath Keepers chapter.  I also served as the South Louisiana CPT (Community Preparedness Team) coordinator.

Our current goal is to build a strong active Oath Keepers chapter in Mississippi , starting with a chapter out of Biloxi, MS then working on expanding to more areas in Mississippi with the help of Billy Simmons (member of the National BOD and Southern United States coordinator), and with the full backing of the national organization and its founder, Stewart Rhodes.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you all.

Stefen Oakes
