Rand Paul Gives Dramatic First-Hand Account Of Shooting (Video)

Had Scalise’s security detail not been there to fire back, this would have been far worse. This is a perfect example of why people should be allowed to carry firearms. When seconds count, the police are minutes away. Had armed security detail not been there, we would be counting bodies.

This isn’t a gun problem, this is a radical leftist problem… Our prayers go out to the victims.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was in the cage waiting for one more turn at the plate when shots rang down on the field, hitting Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) and at least four other people.

Paul told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he probably heard 50 to 60 shots and saw Scalise “trying to drag himself through the dirt out into the outfield.”

Rand Paul Gives Dramatic First-Hand Account Of Shooting (Video)

  1. This is what you get when you are so consumed with hate for people who see the world through a different lens than you do. There are two ways this can go — it can spawn more such attacks, or it can be a wake-up call to the haters that violence has no place in the political arena. I hope it’s the latter, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

    1. Conservative Americans were unhappy during 8 years of Obama’s marxist/communist policies. But there were no riots. We respected the electoral process. The liberals are showing their true colors. “By their works you shall know them”. Most on this forum know that what the left is now using classic communist tactics to attempt to overthrow our government. If you took the oath while serving in the military as I did, remember always that was a promise before God. Just because I am a civilian now, that oath is still binding. Remain spiritually strong brothers, I fear another conflict is near.

  2. Am curious: How did this kook know where the Republicans would be practicing baseball?

PS, as I often do, I agree with Rand. ARM EVERYONE!

    1. Greg, the Washington Post wrote an article two weeks before the shooting about the officers who protect our Congressional members. In that article it gave the Intel he needed, including what type of vehicle the bodyguards were driving.
