Trump Slams Freedom Caucus: "We Must Fight Them"

This article comes from zerohedge.com

It appears negotiations between the Trump/Ryan camps and the conservative Freedom Caucus over Obamacare repeal have not only gone nowhere but are back to square one, or perhaps zero, because moments ago Donald Trump, who had taken a modest sabbatical from his favorite social network, lashed out on Twitter against the conservative group that scuttled last Friday’s repeal vote, saying “The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!”

After this antagonistic tweet we doubt that relations between, already on edge between the two camps, will improve.

And with Paul Ryan speaking out against Trump negotiating with the Democrats, it appears that any renewed attempt to repeal Obamacare remains on indefinite hiatus.

  1. Watch for Trump giving in on allowing islamists into America by the millions! This is the line! Look for it either overt, or investigate this occurring secretly! Obama ushered in refugees illegally and Trump very likely will! Trump is Hillary Clinton, but with smaller hands!

  2. Another glaring signal that Trump is, at heart, a Statist who when all is said and done, will likely parallel the establishment ‘perverted’ version of Trump’s populist rhetoric.

The Freedom Caucus has some members who are the only sane voices for even nominally limiting govt constitutionally and in holding to at least a tattered remnant of founding principles.

Trump’s commentary are a window into his ethic/philosophy and his willingness to continue govt chicanery, with his brand on it.

Merely gaze upon the creatures of the ‘collectivist cabal’ and ‘collectivist establishment’ that he has appointed and surrounded himself with and which he aligns with (can we say Paul Ryan and his ilk). Hell, his daughter Ivanka and her hubby Jared have the globalist-collectivist creature, Jamie Goreilck as their attorney and have her advising them officially.

“….Recent headlines announced Ivanka Trump would obtain a coveted office in the West Wing of the White House. Breitbart reported on March 20 that, according to Ivanka’s “ethics advisor,” she “will not have an official title, but will get a West Wing office, government-issued communications devices and security clearance to access classified information.” That is curious enough on its own.

But the stunning part is the name of the ethics advisor. The same person also advises Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, who does have a formal position as a senior White House advisor.

This new advisor’s name is Jamie Gorelick….”

Regardless, the rhetoric and attitude of Trump reference to ‘get on board’ with ‘the program’ and ‘get with the team’ says it all.

    Pfft.

  3. Trump is a lot of things, Dumb/Stupid is not one of them. What’s the first, or possibly second thing you thought when you heard he called out the “Freedom Caucus?” Me too–> “Time to organize and kick butt!”

This may be his strange way of whipping up the Liberty Minded. Here’s an example from Drudge/ LA Times this morning; http://www.latimes.com/politics/essential/la-pol-ca-essential-politics-updates-gov-jerry-brown-calls-for-1490734956-htmlstory.html

  4. VERY disappointed in Trumps comment, now CONSERVATIVES are the enemy? Seems conservatives were correct about him before the elections.

    1. Trump is under contract to, and Oath bound to, the US Constitution; not to a party or group. But what he is suggesting is unconstitutional. Obamacare is unconstitutional, and all who serve within our government when it was created and implemented, and after the aforementioned are PERSONALLY responsible for not removing it.

There is no reason to “… We must fight them, & Dems…” because his Oath requires that he PRESERVE, PROTECT, and DEFEND the US Constitution.

The wording of the Presidential Oath was established in the Constitution in Article II, Section 1, Clause 8: ‘Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”’

Notice that the Framers placed the presidential Oath of Office after the beginning clauses which set forth the organization of the executive department, and before the ending clauses that specify the contours of the President’s assigned power. The President is required to take the oath after he assumes the office but before he can lawfully execute it. The location and phrasing of the Oath of Office Clause strongly suggest that it is not empowering, but that it is limiting – the clause limits how the President’s “executive power” is to be exercised.

More important is that “We the People of the united States” must hold President Trump’s, the rest of the executive branch, and those who serve within constitutionally named offices within the other two branches, plus those who serve within each branch to that document, their contract (Yes, it IS a compact between the states). It is the supreme Law of this land, not those who serve within federal government, their duties are in writing, as is found in all strong contracts; the Oath makes it stronger and a personal responsibility of each and every Oath taker..

  5. Ptesident Trump is doing a great job despite obstructionist tactics implemented by the Democratic Party; it’s more akin to the Socialist Democratic Party radical left.
The president should seek the advice and counsel of Senator Rand Paul regarding health legislation. Another Senator who is highly respected is Senator Trey Gowdy from South Carolina. The Democrats are determined to derail any bill the President presents to the Congress.

  6. Geez, please at least give him the benefit of the doubt. He has been in office for seventy days, the left have gotten their panties so tied in knots over this guy that they are even starting to provoke the right by carrying in the streets. It sounds to me if you can get a morsel through the MSM that he has already done more for the country in 70 days than Obama did in eight yrs.If you guys are an indication that their possible propaganda is working I would say they hit the bulls eye.
