Senator to Trump: Do the ‘Unpredictable’ and Support Gun Control

COMMENT BY STEWART RHODES: This is the same as saying, “Do the unpredictable and cut your own political throat by violating your oath and your promise to your supporters to defend the Second Amendment, and act exactly the same as if Hillary had won.” What Trump should do instead is call these oath breaking politicians out as the blood dancers they are, who turn a blind eye to the reality that it is criminal street thugs and gang bangers who are killing each other en-mass in Democratic stronghold “sanctuary cities” such as Chicago, where the gang-bangers have free reign to rule the streets without having to worry about local people taking out the trash (like the people of Mexico are starting to do with armed citizen patrols), since the law-abiding locals in big cities like Chicago are forbidden to carry guns for self defense.

The leftist answer is to always blame the law-abiding, decent gun owners for the gang-bangers’ obsession with violence and murder. They don’t blame the gang culture, and the hip-hop culture that idolizes it, but instead blame the rest of us who don’t run around doing drive-by shootings and gang-land assassinations. And it is us they seek to disarm. And we know why – because they have plans for us that require us to be disarmed before they can be effectively carried out.

WASHINGTON – Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) said Congress is “complicit” in the deaths of Americans due to gun violence and he encouraged President-elect Trump to do the “unpredictable” with gun control measures.

“Shortly, we’ll have a new president unlike President Obama – hardly committed to the cause of ending gun violence, but there is a moment of opportunity here. And my hope is that newly elected President Trump will use this opportunity much as President Nixon did in going to China,” Blumenthal said during a press conference on Capitol Hill with family members of gun violence victims and survivors. “It’s a Nixon to China moment for Donald Trump when he can defy the expectation, do the unpredictable – he likes doing the unpredictable – respond to a rally, which he also likes to do, and the rally is the America people who are clamoring and demanding action.”

“Donald Trump has a legacy moment,” the senator added. “When he can seize this opportunity, a historic opportunity, do the right thing and adopt these common-sense measures: background checks for every gun purchase, a ban on terrorists buying guns and ending the immunity, the legal immunity, unprecedented, unknown to any other industry for gun manufacturers. These are your ideas, Donald. We’ll give you credit for them.”

Blumenthal said gun-control advocates should not respond with anger to the inaction of Congress even though it “would be well-justified because Congress has been complicit in the inaction and in the deaths and injuries that have occurred – 400,000 every year from all over the country – and Congress’ complicity must end.”

During the presidential campaign, Trump, who was endorsed by the NRA, showed support for preventing individuals on the no-fly and terrorist watch lists from obtaining firearms.

  1. TO: Dishonorable Sen. Richard Blumenthal

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I assume this clears things up for you.

    Sincerely,

    President Donald J. Trump

  2. “Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.)” is an Oath breaker which is at least one felony (depending on his stare Constitution) and is committing Perjury. Though he has not been tried, he has broken his Oath because we can all read the US Constitution and see what the contract requires of them that serve within the Senate, and that includes every other federal branch and federal office that they SERVE WITHIN.

I don’t know enough about him to say he is a Traitor, and quite possible a *Terrorist, but I would not be surprised. Remember, that Oath makes every single person who serves at any level PERSONALLY responsible for their actions while serving. I am all for charging and prosecuting the domestic enemies and the Traitors to our nation.

    God Bless All, Stay Safe

  3. You liberal communists that want Trump to re-think his position on YOUR gun control ruse….to allow the United States to fall to YOU? So…let’s say if Trump did go for all weapons to be seized from criminals and law abiding citizens via little tricks, including veterans that have medical issues, but not dangerous, or lawyers, doctors, politicians, and anyone that has to use medical marijuana in-order to avoid the dangerous pitfalls of opiates, or the soccer mom on Prozac…..all of which are YOUR targets, guess what happens next?

The fast rising Black Market for arms in America will surpass and substantially increase crimes, because YOU disarmed legal gun owners, and Chicago will still be Iraq USA, and cops would still be shot.

Do YOU think that gun control would alleviate YOUR need to have armed body guards in a gun free America Mr. Politician? I can assure you NOT !

Because the (once) legal gun owner will probably have to arm themselves with illegal weapons while a concerted effort to reverse gun control will “Make America Great Again,” where citizens decide what is best for themselves and their family.

Sorry BUSTER….You Liberals had your 8 years, now it’s OUR country.

  4. “The leftist answer is to always blame the law-abiding, decent gun owners for the gang-bangers’ obsession with violence and murder.”
Shouldn’t we find it preposterous that our “Immigration Crisis, Gang Crisis, Institutionalized Racism, and abject Poverty” could be solved by reducing the Handouts, Deregulation, and Training? When you inject a finite resource (welfare) into somewhat confined spaces, the biggest and baddest will get the resource, by hook or crook. Everything Progressives “Do” is Parasitic…..One of the tenets of Life, is to sustain homeostasis while expending as little energy as possible. Don’t blame the players, blame the game!

  5. Heres a suggestion Mr Blumenthal…Do the unpredictable…Honor your oath. Im sure that would take everyone here by complete surprise.
Me thinks its time for the people of your state to recall and replace your unconstitutional arse.
Get a clue or get out…!!!

  6. I wonder if the Senator has considered the natural processes of our bodies to defend themselves? Mechanisms are in place within our bodies to set in motion a response to attack by foreign organisms that left unchecked well may result in a fatal outcome.
When those defenses are weakened or overpowered by viruses or other fatal pathogens, death is the natural result.
The Senator and others like him seem to desire placing our citizens in the most threatening of circumstances, that of being incapable of self defense.
Millions and millions of dollars are spent annually to defeat diseases that kill such as cancers and organisms that can attack and destroy the ability of our organs to function properly resulting in death. Yet, the most basic of our Constitutional protections are to be taken from us if this Senator has his way.
Sadly, more and more Americans are thinking to agree with him.
I personally am against all registration of firearms. I am opposed to serialization of firearms except for the legitimate purposes of manufacturers to identify their products for purposes of warranty and to alert consumers of them if their be merchantability issues or product safety issues. The same for sellers of firearms and purchasers of them for recall or repair issues and also reporting purposes should a firearm be stolen.
The government has no legitimate right to know who is in possession of firearms.
The only right the government has, is to prosecute illegal actions of individuals upon discovery and ownership of a firearm may never be thought to be an illegal activity.
Ownership of firearms does not extend to the performance of criminal activity though criminal activity make take place while in possession of a firearm. In such a case, it is the activity which is punishable and not the means of the commission of it.
I do not disagree that persons may be examined as to whether they may be thought competent to possess a firearm, but that is far as the government’s interest extends.
Whether a person should purchase a firearm or not after having been declared competent is no one’s business but their own!
Let our citizens become more immediately responsible for themselves and their families and their communities without encumbering edicts and governmental overreach.
As it is, it only takes a report that someone is behaving strangely to interest local law enforcement in individuals who may go on to harm themselves or others. This type of behavior is most always iknown by family members or associates of the individual. Businesses often are called upon to terminate employees for violation of recognized social responsibilities.
When those events occur, then they must be reported
The murder of Colleen Hufford is a standout example of persons who shall use weapons of any means when they are committed to perform acts of violence.
Would the registration of the knife that resulted in her beheading have saved her?

  7. The Hudson Bill will be passed and Trump will sign it
Where does the Rule of Law say that Terrorists can purchase firearms. This guy should be made an example of over his violation of his Oath of office. Maybe he should learn how the Common Law Grand Jury works.
This guy is an educated fool from an uneducated school.
