Obama’s ‘Diversity’ Mandates Put ‘Progressive’ Agenda over National Security
“President Obama released a Memorandum to promote diversity in the national security workforce,” National Security Advisor Susan Rice announced Wednesday. “This is why that makes us safer and stronger.”
Rice’s ”why” is long on self-serving blather and short on “how.” She touches on “building an international order” with the UN, fighting Ebola in West Africa and pushing the transfer of wealth via “climate change” treaty (that has not been ratified by the Senate).
But the talking point to accept and repeat without question is that “our diversity” is “what makes us truly exceptional.” If you’re an Opposite Day “progressive” dependent on “divide and conquer” tactics to rally favored demographics and marginalize others, what better way to do it than with a reverse “E Unum Pluribus” motto?
And since platitudes and PR-speak do nothing in the way of proving a claim, Rice instead enlists fellow henchmen to tell us what great improvements can be made to providing for the common defense and insuring domestic tranquility by including alien cultures and “progressive values” into the national security mix.
We can start with Rice’s qualifications, aside from a career at the diversity trough starting in the Clinton administration. Perhaps there is no more telling testament to either her competence or her willingness to parrot a lie for political CYA than her embarrassing public insistence that the Benghazi attacks were attributable to that stupid You Tube Mohammed video.
Rice is bolstered by Secretary of defense Ash Carter, whose primary focus appears to be “transgendering” the military. They’re joined by Secretary of State John Kerry of publicly throwing away somebody’s service ribbons fame.
Adding their voices to the diversity chorus: Attorney General Loretta “turn a blind eye to Hillary’s crimes” Lynch; Director of National Intelligence James Clapper (who gave false testimony to Congress about spying on Americans); and CIA Director John Brennan, who has admitted to voting for a Communist and who may or may not have converted to Islam.
Is everybody feeling the strength of our diversity yet?
The Rice/White House announcement intentionally dovetails with the U.S. Department of Justice Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s just-released “Advancing Diversity in Law Enforcement” report. CNSNews.com has a good summary of the DOJ report I’d encourage you to read and share.
“[I]ncreased diversity within law enforcement agencies – defined not only in terms of race and gender, but also other characteristics including religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, language ability, background, and experience – serves as a critically important tool to build trust with communities,” we are assured. But there’s a problem with the way we do things now.
“Many of the selection devices used to screen applicants, including physical ability and cognitive tests examinations and background checks, have been shown to have an unwarranted disproportionate impact on underrepresented populations,” we’re told. Physical and mental standards, and disqualifiers based on past criminal convictions, are just not conducive to promoting that diversity we need to make us all safer.
“Residency and citizenship requirements may limit certain underrepresented communities’ representation in law enforcement agencies,” the DOJ report cautions. “[T]his requirement may prevent a considerable number of racial and ethnic minorities – many of whom have valuable foreign language skills – from being hired by law enforcement agencies.”
Hey, who needs UN blue helmets when you can give a criminal pathway to citizenship foreigner who can’t pass qualification tests – but will follow orders – a badge? Now that would be diverse! And it ought to fit in neatly with the globalist Strong Cities Network agenda.
And if we really want to be “progressive,” we’ll need to let our new diversity hires choose their gender neutral pronouns (and ticket citizens for not getting them right), take a knee during the national anthem, and refuse to take an oath to a Constitution written by patriarchal slaveholders. As a matter of fact, forget Article VI: Asking them to do that last bit is not only a microagression, it’s an act of racist oppression and workplace harassment that should be cause for an ACLU lawsuit. Right?
This is all part of that “fundamental transformation of America” Obama has been promising us/threatening us with since Day One of his administration. “Diversity” as a source of strength, or at least of power, is something Hillary intends to amp up with a vengeance once she slithers her way into the White House.
Domestic enemies have no interest in “the security of a free State” except to undermine it.
