Obama focuses our attention on Trump and ignores criminal activity of the DNC.

I find it interesting that the president, whom, has held one of the all time lowest approval ratings in history now sees fit to make such a show of expressing his opinions on Trump and the upcoming election. I find this particularly disturbing, as we have just seen the release of emails by Wiki Leaks that have caused 3 top officials to resign from the Democratic National Committee and also show that Hillary is tied to directly supplying arms to ISIS.

originally published at the New York Times.

WASHINGTON — In an extraordinary denunciation of Donald J. Trump’s temperament and competence, President Obama urged leaders of the Republican Party on Tuesday to withdraw their endorsements of Mr. Trump’s candidacy, flatly calling him “unfit to serve” as the nation’s 45th president.

Speaking in the East Room of the White House while Mr. Trump rallied supporters in a nearby Virginia suburb, the president noted the Republican criticism of Mr. Trump for his attacks on the Muslim parents of an American soldier, Capt. Humayun Khan, who died in Iraq.

But Mr. Obama said the political recriminations from Republicans “ring hollow” if the party’s leaders continue to support Mr. Trump’s campaign.

“The question they have to ask themselves is: If you are repeatedly having to say in very strong terms that what he has said is unacceptable, why are you still endorsing him?” Mr. Obama said. “What does this say about your party that this is your standard-bearer?”

The president’s condemnation of Mr. Trump, and his direct appeal to Republicans to abandon their candidate, were stunning even in a city where politics has become a brutal and personal affair. Mr. Obama seemed eager to go beyond his past interventions in the race, which have included forceful rejections of Mr. Trump’s statements and policy proposals.

The last time a sitting president was as openly critical of the other party’s candidate, Mr. Brinkley said, was when President Harry S. Truman mocked Dwight D. Eisenhower during the 1952 campaign. And once Eisenhower was elected, Truman said he did not know “any more about politics than a pig knows about Sunday.”

“It’s a reflection of just how radical and dangerous President Obama feels that Trump is,” said Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian.

Using the formal backdrop of a joint news conference with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore, Mr. Obama suggested that Mr. Trump would not abide by “norms and rules and common sense” and questioned whether he would “observe basic decency” should he reach the Oval Office.

The president said he would have been disappointed to lose in 2008 or 2012, but added that he had never doubted whether his Republican rivals in those races, John McCain and Mitt Romney, could function as president or had the knowledge to make government work.

“That’s not the situation here,” Mr. Obama said.

As Mr. Obama condemned Mr. Trump, the Republican candidate — apparently unaware of the president’s remarks — repeatedly criticized his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, and the president in an hour of remarks. He called Mrs. Clinton a “liar” and a “thief” and said the country would be “finished” if voters chose four more years of a presidency like Mr. Obama’s. Mr. Trump also accused Mrs. Clinton of repeatedly lying over the weekend when she told Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday” that James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director, had said her statements about her private emails were truthful.

“I mean, she lied,” Mr. Trump said, prompting cries of “Lock her up!” from his supporters. “She, pure and simple, she only knows to lie. She really does. She only knows to lie. But she lied, and it’s a big story.”

Mr. Comey, testifying last month to Congress, said that “we have no basis to conclude she lied to the F.B.I.” But he also said he could not say whether Mrs. Clinton’s many public statements on the issue were truthful.

Mr. Trump, in a written statement meant to respond directly to the president’s remarks, called Mrs. Clinton “unfit to serve in any government office.” He also accused Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton of allowing Americans to be slaughtered in Benghazi, Libya; letting veterans die waiting for medical care; and releasing immigrants into the United States to kill innocent people.

“Our nation has been humiliated abroad and compromised by radical Islam brought onto our shores,” Mr. Trump’s statement said. “We need change now.”

The dueling appearances by the president and the Republican candidate seeking to replace him escalated the heated political rhetoric in a race that had already devolved into a series of personal attacks and character assassinations. Mr. Obama cited Mr. Trump’s reaction to Captain Khan’s parents, Khizr and Ghazala Khan, as a principal reason for his extended remarks. Mr. Trump had criticized the Khans after they honored their son at the Democratic National Convention and urged people to vote for Mrs. Clinton.

Mr. Obama lamented what he called an attack on a “Gold Star family that had made such extraordinary sacrifices on behalf of our country.” He said he did not doubt that Republicans were outraged about the statements Mr. Trump and his supporters had made about the Khan family in the last several days.

“But there has to come a point at which you say somebody who makes those kinds of statements doesn’t have the judgment, the temperament, the understanding, to occupy the most powerful position in the world,” Mr. Obama said.

The president did not limit his criticism to Mr. Trump’s treatment of the Khan family. Mr. Obama said the Republican nominee had repeatedly demonstrated that he was “woefully unprepared to do this job.” The president said Mr. Trump had proved he lacked knowledge about Europe, the Middle East and other parts of Asia.

“This isn’t a situation where you have an episodic gaffe. This is daily,” Mr. Obama added. “There has to be a point at which you say, ‘This is not somebody I can support for president of the United States, even if he purports to be a member of my party.’ The fact that that has not yet happened makes some of these denunciations ring hollow.”

Mr. Trump, who spoke at a boisterous rally at Briar Woods High School in Ashburn, Va., began his remarks there by saying a veteran had given him a Purple Heart medal earlier in the day.

“I always wanted to get the Purple Heart,” said Mr. Trump, who received five deferments from the draft during the Vietnam War. “This was much easier.”

Throughout his speech, Mr. Trump argued his case that Mrs. Clinton was “unfit” for the presidency, accusing her of being dishonest, weak on foreign policy and corrupt. He accused the president of doubling the national debt and said the Iraq war exit was a “disaster.”

“Let Obama go to the golf course,” Mr. Trump said. “But you know what? We’d be better off.”

At one point during the rally, a crying baby interrupted Mr. Trump’s speech.

“Don’t worry about that baby. I love babies,” Mr. Trump said at first. “I hear that baby crying, I like it. What a baby, what a beautiful baby. Don’t worry, don’t worry.”

A few beats later, he changed his tune. “Actually, I was only kidding,” Mr. Trump said. “You can get that baby out of here.” Laughs and a few gasps escaped from the crowd. “Don’t worry, I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking,” Mr. Trump added. “That’s O.K. People don’t understand. That’s O.K.”

Even as Mr. Obama discussed trade policy and security issues with the Singaporean prime minister, Mr. Trump criticized world leaders. He said he would ask Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany “what went wrong” in her country. And he criticized Mrs. Clinton for what he called “terrible relations” with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.

At the White House, Mr. Lee of Singapore responded to a question about Mr. Trump with diplomacy, and said Singapore would look forward to working with whomever Americans chose as president.

“Many pressures build up during the election campaign, and after the elections in a calmer, cooler atmosphere, positions are rethought, strategies are nuanced, and a certain balance is kept in the direction of the ship of state. It does not turn completely upside down,” Mr. Lee said.

“The Americans take pride in having a system with checks and balances,” he added. “So, it is not so easy to do things, but it is not so easy to completely mess things up.”

Correction: August 2, 2016

An earlier version of this article misstated where Mr. Obama made his comments. He was in the East Room of the White House, not on the South Lawn. An earlier version also referred incorrectly to Dwight D. Eisenhower’s status in 1953 when President Harry S. Truman said that Mr. Eisenhower did not know “any more about politics than a pig knows about Sunday.” Mr. Eisenhower was the president-elect in 1953, he was no longer a candidate.

  1. I am not disturbed by this unprecedented action. In fact, I am encouraged. The proggie left ALWAYS telegraphs their greatest fear by attacking that fear unceasingly.

For our current WH occupant to comment so negatively on Mr. Trump – it indicates to me that the DNC is TERRIFIED of a Trump victory, and so they are calling in the “big guns” to try and derail his campaign early.

The louder they scream…the more they are getting hurt. Scream LOUDER you losers…your time is finished.

    1. The entire political “ruling class” on both left and right has lost nearly all credibility, not just with their opponents, but also with many of their own so-called supporters and fellow travelers. Witness the DNC delegates who transformed the “Hillary” signs into “Liar.” But the danger is that the elites just don’t care, because they run both major parties, and, in general, it doesn’t matter who wins an election, just like a stadium owner who also owns both teams doesn’t care who wins the game, so long as everyone pays and plays in their arena. You can cheer or jeer for or against either or both teams, and “they” just don’t care – unless you threaten to upturn the whole system (and here, that means the unconstitutional, usurping, tyrannical system they have imposed on us in direct violation of our founding principles). The US is now at risk of slipping into the kind of corrupt, despotic state we see in the Third World, where people know the powers that be are corrupt and evil, but feel powerless to do anything about it, and just do what they can to play the game for their own meager gain.

As such, the Hillary haters in the Democratic party will still likely vote for her, as their own version of the “lesser of two evils” – which is why the mainstream media does its best to turn Trump into a reincarnation of Hitler. If they can be made to fear Trump enough, they will vote for Hillary no matter how evil and corrupt she clearly is. Better the devil they know. And better “their” devil.

Trump? He talks like an outsider (despite all the photos of him playing kissy-face and laughing with Bill and Hillary at high class insider shin-digs), and I certainly hope he is, but really, is that the best we can do on the Right? I agree with his public statements on illegal immigration and on the dangers of Islamic immigration and so-called “refugees” but frankly, I just don’t trust him (and that is based on his own personal history and past behavior, such as being pals with Bill and Hillary. What would you say if you saw a photo of me hanging out with the Murderer and Murderess in Chief, Bill and Hillary, who sat and coldly watched as the women and children in Waco burned, who likely had their “friend” Vince Foster bumped off (and any number of others who got in their way)? You wouldn’t trust me as far as you could chuck me, no matter what I said, and you would be right to do so.

So, here we are. I have serious doubts about Trump – both his real intent and also his ability to understand the Constitution – but I will say that Hillary is absolutely evil and will be our version of Stalin if she manages to get into the White House again (whether by actually winning the election or by stealing it). I believe she will lead us into a civil war in short order (defined as Americans killing Americans, in a total war along ideological lines). I think she will be even more ruthless and power-mad than Obama, and will not be able to resist trying to use all that power on us, the patriot movement.

Dark days. And regardless of who “wins” the election, this nation is headed for economic collapse and during that crisis we will very likely see bloody conflict between people with irreconcilable differences. It is like the Titanic. We have already hit the iceberg, and the ship is going down no matter who is elected the new captain, but the power crazy, sociopathic, murderous bitch who wants to light it on fire for good measure sure as hell won’t help.

      1. You probably know Trump published a pool of 11 Constitution originalists he’d use to fill Antonin Scalia position and other Supreme Court Justice positions which might be vacated. It’s my understanding not even one person criticized even one of those Justice candidates in Trump’s pool.

Based on your post and Trump’s Justice pool, who would get your vote if it was just between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton?

        Antonin Scalia

        1. I wouldn’t since real elections are honest and these are not. I say we re start over with our elections. But if we do, expect the UN to step in to stop HONEST elections.

For those of you not clear on why illegal immigration here is illegal and we do not have to allow them in or to stay and I care NOT what race, color, creed, etc they are. ILLEGAL means something and it does NOT mean LAWFUL.

This video is good, not perfect, but it does clarify a lot for people regarding illegals crossing our borders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iya0eNlu9D0

      2. Holy s#@t Stew if I didn’t know any better I’d say you just gave up on the entire system. I’ve been out there telling people that there is no pinot in voting because it doesn’t really matter. I completely understand the desire to stand behind the constitution because it was a good start to a great thing. But on December 23rd 1913, it officially died. We as a people can defeat our enslavement, but it can’t be done with guns. We must become self reliant. If big corporations are what bothers you then stop buying their stuff and encourage others to do the same. If big government and the nanny state are what bothers you than find every means necessary to become independent from that and stop voting. When I say “you” I don’t mean you personally Stew, I’m talking to everyone as I’m sure you Stewart are aware of these things and have done a good job at helping others to become self reliant. I personally don’t see the United States lasting another ten years without a civil war taking place. It sad to say but it’s probably going to happen. Then and only then will we have no choice but to defend ourselves. We as a people have done well to expose the level of fraud in the system. We need to keep that going. We are very quickly approaching the point were their hand will be forced because the dictatorship is out in the open a at this point. I understand the oathkeepers admiration for the military as many or most of you were a part of it, I personally do not because our military willingly take orders from foreign powers. “We will get approval from the U.N. and advise congress on the decision the president makes” ~Leon Panetta~ We cannot afford endless war, we can not accept being told who the enemy is an we need to figure it out for ourselves.

      3. Sometimes it takes a bad thing happening to make people change their course. What has happened here is that we allowed ourselves and our children to be dumbed down. WE allowed them to make us feel like there is nothing we can do. It is a lie.

WE know the ‘money” will soon be no good so we start a constitutional currency now that can be used, increase trade and a central ‘zone” where people can find those nearest them as Brandon has already been doing. We grow food, share seeds and knowledge, and be a should those in need and fearful can lean on. What is wrong today is that the people have been trained that they need a leader. That they need someone they can see as strong and honest, moral in their decisions, willing to acknowledge when wrong and correct that error – basically someone they can trust to TRY to do the best.

Obama is not even a lawful US President, because he did not/does not qualify. PERIOD. He is NOT our US President and there are a lot of if’s when I say that. but that was past and we cannot change it, but we can change our future, and minimize what is coming down. But even if he was a lawful US President he is acting outside of the boundaries that was set for that POSITION, that OFFICE.

Daniel Webster: “We may be tossed upon an ocean where we can see no land – nor, perhaps, the sun or stars. But there is a chart and a compass for us to study, to consult, and to obey. That chart is the Constitution.”

It is always important to remind ourselves and the people that it is not the people who serve that is our government, it is that document, and each state document, and the branches and offices that have the authority. the people who SERVE WITHIN them are ALLOWED to use that authority for as long as they meet the contract. People do understand work contracts and it is an readily understood concept because they know that they have to behave a certain way when they are given a position/job.

OK has a good start here with CPT, reaching out to LE’s and military which is a critical part to keep American s alive. Every person we lose when this goes down is a win for those destroying our nation. “Our” elections are truly no more then show. For example Clinton Eugene Curtis, a Software programmer who worked for NASA, Exxon Mobil & the US Department of Transportation gave a sworn-oath deposition testifies that US elections are rigged by inserting software into the voting system. He testified that US elections are rigged by inserting software into the voting system. He knows, he created it. I am not sure if he is still live, but all can see what has happened regarding that incident. It is important to know that Mr Curtis named the US Representatives who attempted to pay him to rig their election vote counts. He said that it is easy to install a small software program into the voting system that will flip the count 51 to 49 to whoever you wanted to win an election. He goes on to say that these small programs are undetectable utilising no more than 100 lines of code, which is minimal. Mr Curtis stated “No one would ever see it, unless you have access to the source code or you were able to count the hard copy votes and compare them to the electronic count”” That was back in the treasonous Bush days, what do you think they do now – certainly not honest elections of any sort.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXyl_YNA8Hs

We also did nothing. This was big back then, it is big now yet we still bring no charges. To actually bring change, we must start pressing charges. When we get stopped in the courts we bring out the contract that they are Oath bound to and remove them as we constitutionally can. Somewhere on older harddrive I have how it was done in the “old days”. But again, the judge, etc of the judicial system must be charged before action can be taken. they can be suspended with NO PAY, and remember we have laws regarding those that break the Oaths that require them to be removed and fined or jailed.

There are things within the US Constitution that are not under either branch listed there, those are things the First Branch of the US Government retained, did NOT delegate.

        The Militia is ours, and lawful and constitutionally required. It IS the only enforcement arm both the state and federal governments are to use for specific named duties which are the;
        — Enforcement of the US Constitution (supreme law of this land and the contract that ALL who serve within our governments are under) and each state’s Constitution (highest law of the state and the additional and lower contract that all who serve within the state government are under above and before all other contracts except for the US Constitution),
        — Enforcement of and keeping the “Laws of the Union” (which are constitutional laws ONLY),
        — The Protection of the country against all enemies both domestic and foreign, and
        — and the “suppressing of Insurrections and repelling of Invasions” (which if is too bad of an invasion parts of the already and steadily trained/ing Militia start becoming the military, strictly military, as called by the congress. (Article 1, Section 8, Clause 15. Clause 16 says what the duties those who serve within our governments have TO THE MILITIAS.

Alexander Hamilton, Federalist 33: “…If the federal government should overpass the just bounds of its authority and make a tyrannical use of its powers, the people, whose creature it is, must appeal to the standard [The Constitution] they have formed, and take such measures to redress the injury done to the Constitution as the exigency may suggest and prudence justify….”

Believe it or not, the way to start getting our country prepared, to start giving them something they can lean on and believe in, support all starts with charges being brought. I am not in the “legal” profession and only get refusals and my door kicked in. WE may or may not get them to court, but the charges must be brought, and they must be made public.

The other thing we must do is start opening deriding and laughing, making jokes whenever someone serving within our governments are using authority they do not have. We have to take it public with humor, with knowledge.

It is late in the game, but if we truly are fighting for our US Constitution, our legitimate government – and I am until I die or we succeed – we must do those simple to talk about things, and start implementing them. All are lawful and constitutional.

Oh, and if there are now enough regulated Militias as the US Constitution requires then we must OPENLY offer their services to be used by those who serve within our governments as constitutionally required of them. Remember all vets, you can train others as congress requires the military to be trained. Dr. Vieira and others can train them in the US Constitution, they can take the free classes at Hillsdale College online courses (never accept one view – learn as much as you can and make your own INFORMED decision on what it means). Hopefully you will find that you do not agree 100% with anyone as that means your brain is working. /big grin

      4. Stewart,

Sadly I must agree with your assessment 100%. I suppose that is how and why I found myself becoming part of the Oath Keeper organization…I have made the same observations, and arrived at the same conclusions. For what it’s worth – I pray to Almighty God every day that we are BOTH wrong…but my spirit tells me otherwise.

      5. I agree with Stewart. Most people need to READ slower, then pause for a few seconds, analyze what they just read, then MAYBE comment.

      6. The die is cast and the gloom of the stage has been set…. The bright side is that there were survivors of the Titanic. There were survivors of the first american revolution as well. Spread the word. We have truth and goodness on our side. There is no other course destined for me, as it was for my forefathers, but to defend the constitution with fervor and the verocity of righteousness. Good always defeats evil… Ok,,, call me what you will but one highly motivated patriot can change the world forevermore… Sempre Fi!

      7. Dear Stewart, your last paragraph is true and has been such for over 2000 years. Revelations abounds with these truths concerning times such as our own. The truth is,,,, this election diversion,,, is anyone watching what is going on in Ukraine presently? Russia is ready to go full tilt as they are being pushed further into corner by Obama’s UN guided by the pope. Do some research folks as what we see hear in the US looks to me like diversions. It is likely Hillary will become president just like Obama did in 2012 again. Trump may just a playa to direct it all to Hillary,,, dont know… Turkish military police are surrounding our base in Turkey at present that houses nukes. The UN is surrounding Russia. China is ready to go ballistic. Germany declares Russia their enemy the other day. Russia gets the media blame for citizen casualties in Eastern Ukraine that were really killed by the US/Obama backed Western Ukraine army. How come all this is not in the news???? Instead,,, we see Trump insults Khan… Khan is a Sharia law supporter who’s son perhaps did not agree with his father and left……. I see diversion in my opinion…. You want the truth??? I wont be surprised to see two suns in the sunset sometime soon (started by the US) if something is not reckoned with soon.

      8. “So, here we are. I have serious doubts about Trump – ” Deport, build wall, Economy, America first. Think Country first!!! That’s what you need to know. EVERYTHING else is pure propaganda and the “serious doubts” you have is proof their propaganda is working.

If you don’t help Trump and We the People, then you support Hitlery. It’s just that simple.

      9. Stewart,
Well said, I agree 100% on all points. Of course you already knew that, but I just felt the need to make it a matter of public record.
Like you, I continue in my efforts to educate as many of our fellow countrymen as I can, as relentlessly, and as tirelessly as I can. As well as to keep preparing for what is heading at us, I refuse to give up or slack off. I just always fear it’s not enough.
Another point that we have previously agreed on, is the fact that there is no political “Fix” available to us any longer. In fact there hasn’t been for some years now. I wish I knew of some way to convince our brethren of this, but if they don’t listen to you, I sincerely doubt they will take heed of any words I could offer.
Furthermore, what few legal remedies remain to us, I fear are much too slow to be effective in time.
Therefore the best advice is to keep preparing. Keep asking yourself those key questions people; “Who’s on your team?, Who’s on your squad?, Are your comms ready?, How are your intel sources shaping up?,etc., etc.
Cause it’s coming folks. To deny this fact is folly.
Please, all of you reading this, take heed of what Stewart has said, vote for whomever you choose if you still care to, I cannot bring myself to participate in a dog & pony show such as we have in our federal elections, but by all means, support and vote for “The Donald” if you want to. I sincerely doubt that it will make any difference, but I think we all can agree, that allowing that murderous madwoman into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. will be disastrous, to say the least. But I have no doubt what-so-ever, that the elites will install whomever they choose to. Just as they have been doing for years. Nothing changes! A “D” or AN “R” included on some politician’s moniker means only that they “”claim” to be from opposites sides of the same counterfeit coin. Wake up people, they all work for the same banksters!
Here is some free advice folks, (take it or leave it):
Turn off the TV, there is nothing real coming out of that box. Then get to work getting ready.
For the Republic. (If we can restore it.),
        David

    2. Exactly. Now they want to implement Real id to track what you vote for. Two times in history they had to stoop to using the electoral collage vote to over rule Woodrow Wilson and Bush.

Even if Trump gets in things will happen to make him look bad, killed, step down, death threats to his family to do what they want they are going to play very dirty.

  2. DNC and Clinton have had lots of embarrassing material come up, and none of it matters when Trump is atracking the family of a dead soldier and some of his supporters are calling for them to be deported. The VFW has spoken out against Trumps behavior. Are Oath Keepers cool with attacking gold star families? Regardless of that, you have to admit it is political poison that Trump can’t seem to stop swallowing.

  3. The Nightmare Scenario Thesis: How Hillary Achieves The Oval Office> https://flic.kr/p/Kqogy3

The polls are a strategic and insidious centerpiece of the plan.

If executed, The American Republic and The U.S. Constitution are destroyed; there will be no future elections; The North American Union is established; United Nations Agenda 2030 is complete.

  4. Please….Can we dispense with referring to Obama as “president”?….It has been shown here on multiple occasions that he did not meet the constitutional requirements for that position and therefore he is NOT the “president”.
The dictator in the oval office is nothing more than an imposter installed to a false position in OUR government by a collection of super rich criminals. Nothing he says or does has any constitutional legality in our system of government. I am really sick to death of hearing people refer to him as the POTUS….HE IS NOT..!!!!

    1. Flinter,,, i like how you talk… It reminds me of how we were allowed to speak when we had free speach!!

  5. Brentwood….My right to free speech is god given and confirmed by the constitution. I shall speak just as I damn please and voice my opinions to anyone and everyone who will listen and even to those who will not. I sincerely hope that you and everyone else will do the same.
