Damon Show How Oblivious Hollywood Elites Are to Serious Resistance

Because the establishment has found it profitable for you to know his name, pretend “action hero” Matt Damon arrogantly believes his pronouncements on guns are profound instead of ignorant and trivial. (Photo: Jason Bourne Movie Facebook page)

I was originally going to post this in a venue other than Oath Keepers. After all, my experience with members is that this is a serious group, and the last thing you have time to pay attention to is the childish yapping of some pretend “action hero.” The thing is, you’re the ones Matt Damon and over-privileged dilettantes like him never seem to consider in their insane calls to disarm their countrymen.

“Hollywood actor Matt Damon used a press conference in Australia over the Fourth of July weekend to discuss his desire for a massive confiscation of U.S. guns,” The Washington Times reported.

It figures he’d pick the Independence Day commemoration to inject a bit of “progressive” subversion into what should have been a promotion presser for his upcoming Jason Bourne shoot-em-up.

“You guys did it here in one fell swoop and I wish that could happen in my country, but it’s such a personal issue for people that we cannot talk about it sensibly,” he pontificated.

“Talk[ing] about it sensibly” to Damon is evidently agreeing with his wishes to force an Australian-style gun ban on Americans — with an armed “or else” for anyone who does not obey.  And if you disagree, you’re too “emotional.”

He’s also against “stand your ground” laws, concealed carry, and acting as a deterrent against threats to the peace in your community.

“We can’t have a world where people are putting guns in their pockets and walking around thinking that they’re the neighborhood watch,” he said in an interview a few years back. “We have a police force for that. We should leave the novices at home.”

Because law enforcement personnel are the only ones professional enough that we can trust. Right?

Fortunately for him, Damon doesn’t need to rely on novices where his own safety is concerned. He can afford the most exclusive personal protection services money can buy. What’s almost humorous is that one of Damon’s bodyguards turned out to be an international gunrunner.

The questions these fake heroes, guys like Damon, or Sylvester Stallone, who said “Until America, door to door, takes every handgun, this is what you’re gonna have,” never get put on the spot to answer is:

How many Americans are you willing to see the government kill to enforce the citizen disarmament edicts you advocate? And what do you want to see happen when people who will not comply decide not to let themselves be imprisoned or killed without a fight?

Not that some entertainment beat “reporter” would have the presence of mind to ask it.

    1. Hey Matt if you like Australias NO GUNS… why not change countries… no loss to America with your stinkin thinkin

  1. The hypocrisy of the left should no longer surprise any of us,,, but sometimes I find myself still surprised at their lack of knowledge and common sense.

    1. See video below….. Wish 20 of us would have been with them just in a very safe and reasonable show of support for our constitution.

On Wednesday Infowars reporters were detained and disarmed by goons from the US Fish and Wildlife Service while practicing the First Amendment on the Texas-Mexico border.

  2. Copies of Stallone’s CHL’s are on the Internet and Matt Damon probably has guns too. They are like all the other regressive, reactive hypocrites, they aren’t against people owning guns, as long it is only them that are armed. Matt Damon also preaches about how great the public school system is while sending his kids to private school. I’d love to smack the little hobbit in the forehead.

      1. I agree!

And I’m glad that hobbits were brought up because I was going to comment that I can hardly see movies any more because they are usually populated with Democrats-liberals-communists-Islam pushers.

Most of the last movies I paid to watch were The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. Some of those were playing in theaters in the early 2000s; I had to watch them despite their many liberal actors because I so admire Tolkien.

A bright spot was Sean Astin (who played Samwise Gamgee in the LotR movies) who has shown the common sense and decency to throw in with the conservatives. He, at least, is smart enough to see the handwriting on the wall.

  3. Matt Damon is not even intelligent enough to harbor the introspection clearly showing the hypocrisy of his inane statements. The hollywood set seem to believe that because they are paid huge amounts of money and live in fairytale lifestyles that they have an associated intelligence above the rest of us toiling proletarians. If you disdain them as much as I, punish them: do not pay to see their violent movies full of guns and blood.

  4. The only thing people like Matt Damon demonstrate with their comments is their ignorance, combined with a mass distribution mechanism (“soapbox”) that most of us do not have. I guess the answer to the question of why these Hollywood elites always pontificate on such matters is the same as to why a dog licks his genitals – because he can. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all had the same access to mass media that these idiots have? The freedom of the press protected by the first amendment was designed to keep that soapbox open to the people, but the founding fathers could not foresee the technological changes that would make public discourse something that could be so easily controlled, filtered, and “propagandized” by those in control of the media.

  5. I’m torn between two theories where the “pop-culture” elites are concerned. Either A) They become so insulated and removed from reality on the ground in the highly controlled settings of their Olympus-like environment, they are cut off from the truth. Or, B) They know and have known the truth, but live in the pockets of those who run the Pop Business. Think of what might have been had my friend Pastor Christoph Arnold of the Bruderhof been able to convince his friend Pete Seeger to speak out against the diabolical nature of our Divider in Chief…while he was still alive.

  6. I would love to see the day when one of these “gun confiscation” goons from Hollywood is held hostage in their home and the bad guy is holding a gun to one of their family members’ heads. I’ll bet they would want a gun on their hip at that time.

    1. Well, I suspect they aren’t that smart. The would just call our for more gun laws while being executed by a criminal who cares not about civil behavior and gun laws. Examples are all the no gun zones and cities with ridiculous and unconstitutional anti carry laws.

  7. First of all the cops usually get to someone in danger, home invasion etc, just in time to chalk the body. What gets me, is that these guys make millions in there movies using weapons, and then call for America to disarm. If you’re so against guns, then find a different type of movie to make money off of, where no guns are depicted. And lastly if you are so against guns, don’t have any of your bodyguards carry. The disarmament of America will never happen, there would be a full scale war, and I think we out number them about 100 to 1, give or take. You have 14 million vets who could walk into combat tomorrow, and I would not want to be them to have to face any of us combat guys.

    1. There is a lot of truth to the “will be there in minutes” scenario. A fine summer evening on a lake we were living on, the neighbors a few homes away were having a noisy party. Suddenly, bang bang bang….screams…bang bang…more screams…lots of yelling…screeching of tires as people fled. Just by chance, a sheriff deputy was located on the only road in or out. He stopped the perp, who was the first to flee. Moral of the story is, as close as they are, never close enough. No one died, but a hole still hurts.

  8. I wonder what ge is saying after the outright execution of civilians by police in the last few days.
Im not some blm supporter, but lets have matt look at some recent events.
The top law enforcement officials just proved to the American public if your politically connected and wield power in dc you can get away with treason and or sedition.
If your black carring a legal firearm WITH PERMIT your gunned down in your car. Your handcuffed on the ground in LA when one cop shoots his partner then they both execute you and try to claim you had a gun and you shot the first cop.
Your stopped 12 miles from my home on I95 in Fl. An off duty cop guns you down then fakes a call to 911. So thank you Matt for your input but ill trust my safety to my .38. Keep the professionals in your neighborhood thank you very much.
Next look at most of the comments on anti gun sites. An overwhelming amount are all for sending the military door to door and killing anyone who doesnt comply. Americans to them are only those approved by them. Its a sickness, they would love to see blood in the streets as LONG AS THEY dont have to do anything but watch it on the news while swilling their Starbucks garbage.
Though i do often wonder how they would react when their neighbor who has kept gun ownership a secret brings down a firefight right in their front yard. My bet it they would need an underwear change rather quickly

  9. Damon wants us to rely on our government and the local police for protection. Forget our God given right to protect ourselves protected by the 2nd Amendment. Here’s the old saying to speak to this, “When seconds count, the cops are only minutes away.”

  10. It’s not so much that Matt Damon is so ill-informed on so many levels. And, it’s not so much that he is so out of touch with American values, the spiritual concepts behind freedom and liberty or that he is just plain wrong about the human race. It’s more that he exhibits that old fascist complex, if I’m in control over you, it makes me feel better, no matter what happens to you, even death, so I love to associate with others with the same answers to the age old problem of freedom. One has to wonder if he considers freedom to honor, duty and virtue as having any redeeming value at all. Or is it just freedom from people I disagree with, and I don’t mind if they die in the process. What an anti-American putz!

  11. I remember back a few years ago, Matt Damon was being interviewed by some other talking head. He was singing the praises of Howard Zinn, the author of “A People’s History Of The United States 1492 – Present”. I had already received the book as a gift. Thinking I should take a look at it, I soon found it was full of Communist/Socialist anti American tripe. Later Comrad Zinn was awarded some kind of gleam medal from Russia. I haven’t watched one of comrad Damon’s movies, or interviews, since. He is a [Six words deleted by Elias Alias, editor] moma’s boy, left wing twerp. Boston should disown him.

  12. And who will be left to watch your bang, bang shoot’em up movies after all of the gun owners are murdered in order to get their guns?

  13. Matt Damon is an A$$hole of the first order with no knowledge of history. I’ll not be watching any of his movies.

  14. Hey Matt…I’m a 65 year old with lots of foirearm usage in my life. Starting using a twenty two when I was eight on my fathers ranch, which I grew up on and hunted on.

Damon, you are a punk of the lowest order. I’d make a monkey out of you with any gun.

  15. Ok Matt Damon I will issue this challenge I will sit down with you and have a real discussion about guns, I will gladly listen to your possession but then you must listen to mine. Thank you Jimmie Jones
