Damon Show How Oblivious Hollywood Elites Are to Serious Resistance
I was originally going to post this in a venue other than Oath Keepers. After all, my experience with members is that this is a serious group, and the last thing you have time to pay attention to is the childish yapping of some pretend “action hero.” The thing is, you’re the ones Matt Damon and over-privileged dilettantes like him never seem to consider in their insane calls to disarm their countrymen.
“Hollywood actor Matt Damon used a press conference in Australia over the Fourth of July weekend to discuss his desire for a massive confiscation of U.S. guns,” The Washington Times reported.
It figures he’d pick the Independence Day commemoration to inject a bit of “progressive” subversion into what should have been a promotion presser for his upcoming Jason Bourne shoot-em-up.
“You guys did it here in one fell swoop and I wish that could happen in my country, but it’s such a personal issue for people that we cannot talk about it sensibly,” he pontificated.
“Talk[ing] about it sensibly” to Damon is evidently agreeing with his wishes to force an Australian-style gun ban on Americans — with an armed “or else” for anyone who does not obey. And if you disagree, you’re too “emotional.”
He’s also against “stand your ground” laws, concealed carry, and acting as a deterrent against threats to the peace in your community.
“We can’t have a world where people are putting guns in their pockets and walking around thinking that they’re the neighborhood watch,” he said in an interview a few years back. “We have a police force for that. We should leave the novices at home.”
Because law enforcement personnel are the only ones professional enough that we can trust. Right?
Fortunately for him, Damon doesn’t need to rely on novices where his own safety is concerned. He can afford the most exclusive personal protection services money can buy. What’s almost humorous is that one of Damon’s bodyguards turned out to be an international gunrunner.
The questions these fake heroes, guys like Damon, or Sylvester Stallone, who said “Until America, door to door, takes every handgun, this is what you’re gonna have,” never get put on the spot to answer is:
How many Americans are you willing to see the government kill to enforce the citizen disarmament edicts you advocate? And what do you want to see happen when people who will not comply decide not to let themselves be imprisoned or killed without a fight?
Not that some entertainment beat “reporter” would have the presence of mind to ask it.
