Bastille Day Terror!!!! At Least 80 Dead. Many Children.
“At least 80 people , including 10 children, have died and dozens were injured during Bastille Day celebrations in Nice, France after a truck ran into a large crowd.
Police are treating the incident as “an attack” and French President François Hollande declared it an “undeniable” terrorist attack.”
The ugly face of terror has once again appeared. During Bastille Day celebrations, (similar to our 4th of July), a terrorist drove a semi-truck into a crowd of innocent people, just after the fireworks display, in Nice, France. Once again, the terrorist, (identified as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a 31-year-old Tunisian resident in France), is Arabic. He is said to have been firing a weapon into the crowd, as he plowed through them, and grenades were found in the cab, after police killed him.
Our hearts are filled with sadness, once again, for those injured, and for those who died. It is a great tragedy. The lives of those innocent children was cut short, after so brief a life.
I was a teenager in the 1960’s, when the Red Brigades and the Bader-Meinhoff Gang terrorized Europe, in what has since been revealed as having been promoted by Operation Gladio. The recent attacks, in Paris, Brussels and now Nice, remind me of those days, Senseless bombings and killings of innocents, meant to terrorize the populations of the entire continent. Make no mistake, these are not isolated “lone wolf attacks”. Their purpose, it is plain to see, is to put fear in the hearts of the people, to cause them to beg for “someone to do something”.
We need to look beyond the incident, and ask ourselves, qui bono? Who benefits? Why, suddenly, are police and politicians calling for more authority, or more centralization of power, as a “solution” to the problem of “lone wolf attacks”? In France, the State of Emergency enacted after the Paris attacks, was scheduled to be lifted soon. It has been extended into October. The powers of the State Emergency could not stop the Nice attack, yet it is to be continued. Why? It is about control and power. It is not about saving lives.
Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel was said to have been known to police as a criminal, but not a terrorist. Well, he was a despicable man, who did a monstrous act; a brutal act of terror. If he did it for his God, it is even more despicable.
If he was a “lone wolf”, where, pray tell, did he get the grenades? Where did he get the truck? There are questions that need answering. To quickly label it a “lone wolf attack” is premature. Common criminals do not do terror attacks. What was his motivation? Who were his associates? I doubt we’ll ever know.
