Eat, Fast and Live Longer – BBC Horizon

Part of being prepared, is to be healthy. Americans are not very healthy. Whether it be obesity, diabetes, heart trouble, or just being generally out of shape, we, as Patriots, need to get in better health, if we are to not just survive what is coming, but to be victorious. Many of our health problems relate to poor diet. It is up to us, as individuals, to face up to the fact that we need to eat healthier, and to get enough exercise. You don’t need to run a marathon, but you should be able to get about, do some physical labor, and be alert.

I am 64 years old, and admittedly out of shape. I have decided to eat better, and to get in better shape. I’m not overweight, at present, though several years ago I packed on twenty-five extra pounds. I am back to fighting weight, though not in fighting shape. I am now gluten intolerant, so I don’t eat grains, and I gave up soda twenty years ago. I’ll have a glass of wine, now and again, or a little hard cider, but am definitely not a heavy drinker. The fast program of 5 days regular eating, followed by 2 days of light fasting, is one I have decided to embark on, as both diabetes and heart disease are in my ancestry. It is time I got serious about my health.

I take no medications, beyond an aspirin now and again, nor will I ever. I can look after my own health.

Take a good look at the video, and see how serious you are about your health.

  1. I have made an effort to stay in fighting shape my entire life just because I enjoy elk hunting in the wilderness and that will kill you if you do not pursue a healthy life year round. It’s probably why I hardly ever see a doctor unless I’ve torn something up and am on no meds. I’ll be 64 in August and have a wilderness bull elk rut archery hunt for 3 weeks this September (I’ll use my 29’er mountain bike). I have two bicycles I ride because I can’t run anymore and just got through destroying one and replacing it. Riding a bike is easy to do and great exercise for old, beat up soldiers.
Pray for Peace. Prepare for War.
    God bless.

  2. I have yet to watch the video, but I applaud whoever is bringing this to the forefront. I discovered many years ago that most of us are eating far more than is necessary for a healthy life. We have been for the most part brainwashed into believing that we need 3 squares a day, of a particular diet to keep our health up! I eat the least of any human that I know, yet, I continue to realize that I could do with less.
One need not tax themselves with some harsh fast. One may simply try skipping eating their usual breakfast! For breakfast have only liquids! Try not eating any chewable food until lunch! Experiment with your diet.
I am in my 67th year and am in very good shape. I take no AMA pills. I have raw goat’s milk for breakfast, sip on Kombucha, a fermented tea, in the afternoon, plus water, and for dinner I throw many potatoes and other vegetables into a frying pan with ghee and some seasoning for dinner. There is no question in my mind…… eat less, feel better.
With that being said, each of us is unique. Play with your diet. And be confident that you may do much better with less.
I will watch the above video. Forgive me if I am stating what it already states!
And thanks again to O.K.’s for this site and all that you contribute to our education!!!
    With gratitude,
