Oath Keeper Testimonial

Testimonial: I have always felt honored to be able to say that my “American Heritage”, goes all the way back to 1633. Through my father’s mother, I am a direct successor of Johnathan Fairbanks, a signer of the Dedham, Mass., Covenant, and quite proud of the fact that Dedham was one of two, “…inland towns, which could relieve the population pressures within the existing settlements along the [Massachusetts Bay Colony] Bay, as well as serve as a buffer zone between the Indians and the main colony. The first of these towns was Concord; the second was Dedham.”

Fast forward 170 years, to 1806, when my father’s direct ancestor’s became the first “Caucasian” inhabitants of the County where we still reside. We cleared the first farmlands, and gave birth to the first Caucasian, according to County records. I take my heritage, my allegiance, and my loyalty to America as seriously as I take my responsibilities to my God, my wife, my children, my grandchildren, and my friends and neighbors. I have Sworn my Oath to America, our Constitution, and our way of life as a Firefighter, Police Officer, Soldier, and City Official. Like everyone here, I believe that I cannot, “un-take” my Oaths, nor can I “cherry pick” which parts of the Constitution I will defend and protect; including, but not limited, to the 2nd Amendment.

I am a combat veteran, having served in the Central High-lands of Vietnam, as a Combat Engineer. By the luck of the draw, I was assigned as a gunner on a Gun Truck, escorting supply convoys from the South China Sea, to a couple of small MACV compounds just inside of the Cambodian border. We also escorted convoys from Ban Me Thout, to Kontum, through Pleiku, along highway 19, which ran north and south directly through the heart of the Highlands. There was an old Vietnamese military that said, ““He who controls the Central Highlands controls South Vietnam.” Both sides took that to heart; the battles were frequent, good friends were lost, and every battle was won, until America finally withdrew. The Central Highlands was the first area to fall to the North, and the run to Saigon wasn’t too hard for them, and then South Vietnam was no more. America never lost a major engagement the entire twenty years we fought there; but the North Vietnamese would have fought for a hundred more years if need be, they simply waited us out.

At least one person in my family fought in virtually every war that the “Colonies”, and then United States of America was engaged in from the French and Indian wars to present, our son just returned from Afghanistan a couple of weeks ago.

So, my story is this; I’m not just an American, I AM America. I will never willingly submit a single Civil Liberty, I will never “obey” and unconstitutional order given by a Civil, or Federal “authority.” Especially Homeland Security, FEMA, or TSA personnel, (outside of an Airport, or Railroad Terminal), and will do anything short of going to prison to help a law abiding citizen resist the same. I will never willingly submit to an unwarranted search of my vehicle, RV, or home. And I will never willingly surrender a weapon to the government.

  4. Anonymous, I’m having trouble with your thinking a long family history in America makes you more American (“So, my story is this; I’m not just an American, I AM America.”)

Doesn’t make sense. Not supported by the Constitution. Especially considering the other end of the spectrum… the patriotism displayed by many immigrants so happy completing the citizen process.
