Back in the Saddle Again! Attack on Oath Keepers Site Defeated
After a malicious attack, our main site, oathkeepers.org, is up and running again and functioning normally. The members-only forum is also up and running again but under a different URL. Members can get to the forum by going to forum.oathkeepers.org. Or just click the “Forums” link on our main site at oathkeepers.org. You can log in with your normal user name and password.
Rest assured, the information on our servers was never compromised. Our servers were not hacked. What happened is that the domain names oathkeepers.org & oathkeepers.net were hijacked and redirected. This hijacker never had any access to the servers. As a basic precaution however, all of our account passwords were changed.
The oathkeepers.org domain name is the important one because that is where our branding is. That’s the main website where all of our articles are indexed on the search engines, etc.
We are still sorting out exactly how the attacker(s) did it, and who is behind it, but what counts is that our main site is back up.
We have been attacked before, with several “hacking” attacks, taking different forms. We defeated those attempts too. It is to be expected. Our enemies don’t like what we are doing and want to shut us down if they can, by whatever means. But we won’t let them. That’s how you know you are doing something right- when the enemies of the Constitution try to stop you through criminal and fraudulent means.
If you have an email account with oathkeepers.org, (State chapter presidents, Point of Contacts (POCs), etc.) you will need to get a new password before you can access your email. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a password reset. Your authorization to use that account will be verified first however.
Don’t let the bastards get you down. Drink water and drive on!
For the Republic,
Founder and President of Oath Keepers
