Anthony Wile, Ron Paul Denounce Hate-Crime Expansion

[Excerpts: Please read entire article at link below.]

Ground ReportFreedom of speech is an increasingly rare commodity it seems.

Israel’s Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan has just announced he wants to set up an international consortium to monitor “hate speech.”

Hate speech, like so-called free-speech zones and other forms of censorship, is part of a 21st century evolution of linguistic sophistry. The concept is only supportable because of a larger confusion about what law is and what crimes are….

Libertarian publisher Anthony Wile is concerned about how “hate” is being redefined and criminalized. It’s a process he’s regularly tracked.

Some of the West’s largest and most powerful countries are at the forefront of these ‘hate’ precedents,” he said. “In the United States, for instance, the Department of Homeland Security is moving past what’s historically been considered crime to now criminalize even constitutionalism.”

Correct. Homeland Security’s fusion center in Utah recently issued a report listing “visual indicators” to help police understand whether they are potentially dealing with domestic terrorists.

According to Reason magazine, which posted an article on the subject, these indicators may include logos or images associated with “specific political groups, such as the Oath Keepers and Three Percenters.” Also listed was the “more generic patriotic symbol, the Gadsden flag—a famous Revolutionary War banner featuring a coiled rattlesnake and the slogan Don’t Tread on Me.”

In another article published at, libertarian commentator Brandon Smith expanded on Homeland Security’s plans:

While scanning the pages of mainstream propaganda machines like Reuters, I came across this little gem of an article, which outlines plans by the U.S. Justice Department to apply existing enemy combatant laws used against ISIS terrorists and their supporters to “domestic extremists,” specifically mentioning the Bundy takeover of the federal refuge in Burns, Oregon as an example.

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, Israel’s Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan has unveiled plans to create an “international coalition” that would monitor the Internet’s worldwide social media platforms.

According to the Times of Israel, Erdan is “aiming to build an international coalition to force the world’s leading social media giants to prevent their platforms from being abused to peddle incitement to terrorism. … The move … aims at requiring Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and other social networks to take greater responsibility for such content.”…

Erdan’s spokesperson said, “The legislation would have common features, such as defining what constitutes incitement and what the responsibilities of social networks regarding it are.

Social media giants “make millions but claim they are not responsible for content, and that they only provide a platform,” he told the Times. “That is not going to wash. We are planning to put a stop to this irresponsibility, and we are going to do it as part of an international coalition that has had enough of this behavior as well.”

  1. It matters not. What ever one says can and will be called “Hate Speech” by someone. What is fine today is not tomorrow. Take “The Dukes of Hazzard”. Taken off the air because of the flag painted on the roof of a car.
Any thing anybody says against “The Government” is called treason. Of course it is, by THEM!!
Any people whom are “GOVERNED” aren’t as free as they think. We live in a country that has taxes on everything. Don’t believe me? Case & Point; There IS a sales tax on toilet paper (where I live ) SOOO, you pay a tax to wipe your butt!!! Now how intrusive is that? Blow your nose, pay a tax.Buy a condom, well, you know the rest, pay a tax. What part of your life isn’t intruded upon?
Speak up? you are in trouble
The Main Stream Media demonizes “Those Horrible Gun Owners” Hate Speech? Of course not, they are mimicking our “Government’s” view
Speak out against the atrocities that Israel has committed, and you are Anti-Semetic.(Hate Speech) The thing is, it has NOTHING to do with Religion!! I’d be complaining about the COUNTRY!!
If the people in charge don’t like it, it’s labeled hate speech, or treason, or bigotry. Good people don’t want to be called those things so, they change their speech.
Good people……if it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck………..good grief……… call it a duck.

  2. How does Israel legislate for the United States?
I suspect that neither Erdan nor his spokesman understand the US Constitution
I suspect that all ministers and MKs in Israel’s government are not in agreement with this minister.

  3. Is it hate speech to ask where 800 krystrons went? Is it hate speech to say… if America has debt, cut all foreign aid? Is it hate speech to discuss Rachel Corrie? Is it hate speech to ask why the Rothschild family put so much into Israel’s supreme court, which has a pyramid with an eye on it’s roof? Is it hate speech to ask if it was Solomon, David, or Nathaniel Rothschild whom liked the 6 point star so much? It sure does seem that pro-America and anti-semite are becoming a bit too similar. I say cut all foreign aid, exit the UN, IMF, NATO, NAFTA, world bank, etc., quit listening to JEBSON, abolish the federal reserve and IRS, then see whom it is crying the loudest. I have absolutely no problem with Jewish people, nor do I with Islamists, Hindis, Buddhists, Agnostics, Rastafarians, etc., but when asked where one stands with Israel, answering “next to Captain McGonagle and Rachel Corrie” seems an appropriate response. I guess at the end of the day, I have commented on the Oathkeepers website, I’m downright fit for Guantanamo bay.

  4. Hate crime legislation does not flow from the people up. It is actually a crafted means of ensuring compliance by threat of legal injury and has its origins elsewhere. I do not believe that it is actually a product of lawmakers only, though they figure heavily in its implementation as being authorizing agents.
Proponents of hate crimes legislation are very vocal in institutions of higher learning and the influences from these sources are excessive and difficult to combat. They are extending their influence lower and lower into our community schools and resources.
Persons subjected to the outcomes of implementation of hate crimes legislation face prosecution and other remedial action, not the least being anger management classes and psychiatric evaluation by order of the court.
It is just another way of chipping away at our inherent rights, another way of depriving us of them under color of law.
Once a suffiicient number of persons have been cowed into activity, it shall be over for us for all we once knew as being Americans.
Major corporattions now routinely have placed throughout their organizations signage stating, “Anxious, depressed, feeling lonely, no one to turn to, we can help you. Call this number.” Health and wellness !
We are purposely being made into a dependant people, not hardy or self sufficient. We are being made victims of our insecurities as determined by the “professionals.”
It is a back door to enslavement.

  5. Remember the USS Liberty

Is that enough to be placed upon a USA federal government watch list? If not, then my several blogs surely must be enough to strike fear into the hearts and feeble minds of the well-paid lackeys serving their elite-class and corporate masters so very well.
