Fox News: Growing number of police chiefs, sheriffs join call to arms

“It’s more important to have a gun in your hand than a cop on the phone.”

Editor’s Note: Regarding the guns owned by, and the inherent gun rights belonging to all Americans, Fox News has just published a remarkable stride toward common sense perception of reality. I will just place a few key paragraphs below from the Fox News article and urge every Oath Keeper and patriot to enjoy this article at the Fox News website.

But I also would like to note for our readers that a question does exist regarding State-level codes and statutes which might somehow force free Americans to jump through government hoops and obtain “permits” to exercise protected rights, one of which is the Second Amendment.

Attached to that question is the observation that the Amendment itself states “…shall not be infringed.” Clearly, having to buy a government “permit” to carry one’s arms inside the U. S. of America is an infringement. Yet I do realize that most folks settle for the collectivist’s view on that, and most folks seem to feel that after all there should be *some* restrictions on gun ownership and gun bearing.

Therefore I am not directly challenging the consensus sentiment on the matter — but certainly wish to acknowledge the more aware Oath Keepers who have read Dr. Edwin Vieira’s books and subsequently do understand the fullest meaning carried in the words, “…shall not be infringed.

That said, let’s jump into, and enjoy, a rare friendly flag article from the mainstream media:

Growing number of police chiefs, sheriffs join call to arms

This article was posted at Fox News by Cody Derespina on January 15 2016.

Miscellaneous  paragraphs from the Fox News article:

One of a growing number of rural and big-city law enforcement officials who openly encourages responsible gun ownership, [Florida Sheriff Grady] Judd believes guns allow citizens to defend themselves when police cannot.

“If you are foolish enough to break into someone’s home, you can expect to be shot in Polk County,” Judd said in a statement after a homeowner shot a would-be home invader earlier this month. “It’s more important to have a gun in your hand than a cop on the phone.”

Such full-throated embrace of the Second Amendment as a crime-fighting tool isn’t confined to red states like Florida…

Marion County Sheriff Chris BlairMarion County Sheriff Chris Blair, (pictured at left) who has said, “If you are certified to carry a gun, I would like to encourage you to do so.” (Marion County Sheriff’s Office)

….One California police chief is backing teachers in his district packing heat. Detroit Police Chief James Craig has been a leader in urging his community to arm itself. A Maryland sheriff is working with the state’s general assembly to try to make it easier for citizens to obtain handgun permits.

(End teaser paragraphs from the Fox News article.)

The gun culture has been saying it for decades, and I am delighted that Florida Sheriff Grady Judd got it out on Fox News —

“It’s more important to have a gun in your hand than a cop on the phone.”

That is “common sense”, as all Oath Keepers know. It is encouraging to see that sort of common sense gaining momentum in the public attitude and perception. Now that the Empire’s so-called “War on Terror” has been created afar and brought home to American soil, (courtesy of our own Intelligence community and coercive foreign policy), people everywhere are feeling the need for personal protection. Chattanooga and San Bernardino are two prime examples. Just as Obama has proven himself to be the greatest gun salesman of all time, so too has the collectivist anti-gun lobby suddenly seen a severe blow-back as many on the Left side of the aisle are awakening to the logic in the gun culture’s “common sense”.  To justify that statement I’ll add here one more paragraph from the Fox News article.

“The number of concealed handgun permits soared from 4.6 million in 2007 to 12.8 million in 2015, according to the Crime Prevention Research Center. Those numbers match an evolution in the general public’s attitude toward guns. Just 35 percent of respondents in an August 2000 Gallup poll said they felt safer with a gun in the house. That rose to 42 percent in 2004, 47 percent in 2006 and 63 percent in 2014.”

Obama, anti-gun lobby — I’ve got just four words (and a smile) for you:

“Sorry ’bout your luck.”

  1. Constitutional Right

Some people today only believe the courts – which is laughable as they are not manned by people who bothered to learn the supreme LAW of our land, but let progressives or those taught by progressives tell them what to think and what to consider. They did not read and study the US Constitution. Basically that the people SERVING WITHIN our governments have any authority they want to give themselves rather then keeping the Oath and following the written “contract” they are under.

For clearer understanding not tainted by those trying to turn America in part of the NWO here are some earlier court cases, etc.

“To say that one may not defend his own property is usurpation of power by legislature.” O’Connell v. Judnich (1925), 71 C.A.386, 235 P. 664.

“Constitutional guarantee securing to every person right of acquiring, possessing, and PROTECTING property refers to right to possess absolutely and unqualifiedly every species of property recognized by law and all rights incidental thereto, including right to dispose of such property in such manner as he pleases.” People v. Davenport (1937), 21 C.A. 292, 69 P.2d 396. (caps are mine)

“The Writings of George Washington” (“Sentiments on a Peace Establishment”, letter to Alexander Hamilton), A Peace Establishment for the United States of America may in my opinion be classed under four different heads Vizt:

Secondly. A well organized Militia; upon a Plan that will pervade all the States, and introduce similarity in their Establishment Manoeuvres, Exercise and Arms.

Thirdly. Establishing Arsenals of all kinds of Military Stores.

“It may be laid down, as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every citizen who enjoys the protection of a free government, but even of his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency.”

Altho’ a large standing Army in time of Peace hath ever been considered dangerous to the liberties of a Country, yet a few Troops, under certain circumstances, are not only safe, but indispensably necessary. Fortunately for us our relative situation requires but few. The same circumstances which so effectually retarded, and in the end conspired to defeat the attempts of Britain to subdue us, will now powerfully tend to render us secure…

But, if our danger from those powers was more imminent, yet we are too poor to maintain a standing Army adequate to our defence, and was our Country more populous and rich, still it could not be done without great oppression of the people…

Were it not totally unnecessary and superfluous to adduce arguments to prove what is conceded on all hands the Policy and expediency of resting the protection of the Country on a respectable and well established Militia, we might not only shew the propriety of the measure from our peculiar local situation, but we might have recourse to the Histories of Greece and Rome in their most virtuous and Patriotic ages to demonstrate the Utility of such Establishments. Then passing by the Mercinary Armies, which have at one time or another subverted the liberties of all-most all the Countries they have been raised to defend, we might see, with admiration, the Freedom and Independence of Switzerland supported for Centuries, in the midst of powerful and jealous neighbours, by means of a hardy and well organized Militia.

It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government,… but even of his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency, for these purposes they ought to be duly organized into Commands of the same formation;…

They ought to be regularly Mustered and trained, and to have their Arms and Accoutrements inspected at certain appointed times, not less than once or twice in the course of every [year] but as it is obvious, amongst such a Multitude of People (who may indeed be useful for temporary service) there must be a great number, who from domestic Circumstances, bodily defects, natural awkwardness or disinclination, can never acquire the habits of Soldiers,…

capable of resisting any sudden impression which might be attempted by a foreign Enemy, while the remainder of the National forces would have time to Assemble and make preparations for the Field. I would wish therefore, that the former, being considered as a denier resort, reserved for some great occasion, a judicious system might be adopted for forming and placing the latter on the best possible Establishment. And that while the Men of this description shall be viewed as the Van and flower of the American Forces, ever ready for Action and zealous to be employed whenever it may become necessary in the service of their Country; they should meet with such exemptions, privileges or distinctions, as might tend to keep alive a true Military pride, a nice sense of honour, and a patriotic regard for the public. Such sentiments, indeed, ought to be instilled into our Youth, with their earliest years, to be cherished and inculcated as frequently and forcibly as possible.

I shall not contend for names or forms, it will be altogether essential, and it will be sufficient that perfect Uniformity should be established throughout the Continent, and pervade, as far as possible, every Corps, whether of standing Troops or Militia, and of whatever denomination they may be. To avoid the confusion of a contrary practice, and to produce the happy consequences which will attend a uniform system of Service, in case Troops from the different parts of the Continent shall ever be brought to Act together again, I would beg leave to propose, that Congress should employ some able hand, to digest a Code of Military Rules and regulations, calculated immediately for the Militia and other Troops of the United States; And as it should seem the present system, by being a little simplified, altered, and improved, might be very well adopted to the purpose; I would take the liberty of recommending, that measures should be immediately taken for the accomplishment of this interesting business, and that an Inspector General should be appointed to superintend the execution of the proposed regulations in the several States. (End quote) The Founders’ Constitution
    Volume 3, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 12, Document 6 ”
The Writings of George Washington from the Original Manuscript Sources, 1745–1799

George Washington: “The Constitution is the guide which I never will abandon.”

George Washington: “Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples’ liberty’s teeth.”

  2. Gotta love that last line or rather, “quote” would be a better choice of words. Thus, they all wish us to become toothless.

  3. If you take a look at the 13th amendment you may notice something interesting. Although the 13th amendment abolished slavery, it included a specific exception for convicts.

It is not prohibited by the 13th for a person duly convicted of a crime to be compelled to work. This is not a loophole that was invented by politicians or lawyers after the fact. It actually says it right there in the amendment itself. Imagine that.

So the 13th contains one exception. How many exceptions does the 2nd amendment contain? None, whatsoever.

    Food for thought.

  4. If these sheriffs and police chiefs are serious about citizens protecting themselves maybe they should consider starting a CPT program of their own and encourage gun-owners to join so they can better protect themselves from bigger threats like ISIS, MS-13 or out of control government.

  5. This is very interesting. I am curies how effective they can be. How will they react in really dangerous situations. I guess, will see.
