Bernie Sanders’ Divide-and-Conquer Gun Stance Relies on Willing Dupes Ignoring Backers

CZk9jMkUcAAhjVR
The only thing we need to realize about Bernie Sanders and guns is that he understands Chairman Mao’s observation that “Every Communist must grasp the truth; ‘Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.'” (Campaign flyer scan by @gdebenedetti)

“We need to make sure that certain types of guns used to kill people, exclusively, not for hunting, they should not be sold in the United States of America,” openly socialist presidential wannabe Bernie Sanders told NBC’s “Meet the Press,” InfoWars reported. “Coming from a rural state, I think I can communicate with folks coming from urban states where guns mean different things than they do in Vermont where it’s used for hunting.”

It’s a divide-and-conquer strategy familiar to gun rights advocates who have seen it time and again, notably illustrated by with the excommunication and partial redemption of outdoor writer Jim Zumbo some years back, after he called semiautomatics “terrorist rifles.” And while we see no shortage of politicians trying to con us out of our firearms by telling us what we do or don’t need to shoot deer with, the unalterable fact remains, the Second Amendment ain’t about hunting.

It’s natural that Sanders would pander to the hunting crowd though, coming from Vermont and all. That’s because he had to. But now that he’s on the national stage, if he ends up winning, the concerns of jeopardizing his home state’s three electoral votes won’t weigh as heavily on his decisions. Besides, it’s not like anyone dumb enough to vote for Bernie is going to change their mind if he betrays his hunter constituency – realistically, his stock will go up.

So what of the doctrinaire “Fudd,” who cares only about duck season and wabbit season, and doesn’t care what else Bernie bans? “Do not ask for whom the bell tolls” and “I shall eat you last” come to mind.

All you need to do is look at Bernie’s campaign website positions on “animal welfare”:

Bernie Sanders is an advocate of animal welfare and ensuring animals’ humane treatment. He has co-sponsored several pieces of legislation to protect the interests of animals and has recently received a 100 percent rating from the Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF).

And who are they?

…a social welfare organization incorporated … formed in 2004 as a separate lobbying affiliate of The Humane Society of the United States. HSLF works to pass animal protection laws at the state and federal levels, to educate the public about animal protection issues and to support humane candidates for office.

And where does the Humane Society stand on all those hunters Bernie is out pandering to?

The HSUS is strongly opposed to the hunting of any living creature for fun, trophy, or for sport…

Basically, authorized wildlife management officials or Inuit subsistence hunters get a pass. Does anyone think the Humane Society is going to give its highest mark to a candidate who works against its interests?

And basically, Bernie Sanders is just another lying Bolshevik, relying on useful idiots until such time as he no longer needs them.

Isn’t that a bit strong?

Sanders-cofounded the Congressional Progressive Caucus, an affiliate of the Democrat Socialists of America. DSA has taken some of its songs down from its website, no doubt wanting to mask what they’re about, but thanks to the Internet Archive, we can still see lyrics for such inspirational sentiments as:

Are you sleeping, Are you sleeping,

Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie,

And when the revolution comes,

We’ll kill you all with knives and guns,

Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie

Maybe Bernie would like to flesh out how he intends to take “non-sporting” arms away from those of us who own guns for purposes other than hunting, and what he thinks will happen if he tries. Especially since, as author L. Neil Smith of The Libertarian Enterprise notes:

Bernie Sanders is the advocate for a political system that murdered over two hundred million people in the twentieth century alone.

If you don’t mind — and especially if you do — I’ll keep my “guns that kill.”

  1. Oath keepers an use this sickening sad time that the gov/cops used to kill LaVoy to help the american people play the gov games turn the tables on them by seting up at a privet place in oregon and help the ranchers in oregon and the county’s around organ teach them about the Constitution and the right way to fight the gov and the right way to stand up to the gov and if the gov comes in and try to shout you down you will have all of the american people on your side oath keepers use this to fight for freedom of speech and the american people

  2. When are we going to get a statement about Oregon from Stewart or other headshed members? Bullshit and conjecture abound on every forum and social media page. Its obvious leadership is sorely needed at this point. A statement would go a long way to cool heads.

  3. Part of the leadership you seek is keeping us informed here with these stories and news of out in the field. But yes, I would like to know more about what to do. I have no idea what the climate is like at the local level, our county sheriff, or local legislatives.

  4. Due to the severe lack of rain (i.e. Constitutional Substance), I am declaring a National Bern Ban. Please report any Bern attempt to your local police/fire departments. 🙂

  5. Whenever I hear the argument, “you don’t need semi-automatic rifles for hunting, they’re only used to kill people,” I tell them I agree wholeheartedly. Then I remind them that one of our unalienable rights is to defend ourselves and our families.

Yes, these weapons are used to kill. I pray to God I’ll never have to, but I have a right to defend my life if attacked. We all do. If we give up the right to live, we lose everything.

That tends to make the “ban these guns” crowd think, at least for a bit.

    1. Here is the truth of the matter and very humorous as well ! Americans are very easily fooled with bullshit , not just about firearms , but every matter you can think of ? They simply let these control freaks make it all up as they go along and few question much of anything ? Enjoy the dose of reality !

http://cowboybyte.com/42532/buy-machine-gun-without-background-check/ the video says it all in spades !

and everybody please be calm and wait for direction. There is nothing to force at this juncture ? and look at the positives.

      1) They stood up against, and drew attention to, an obvious injustice; what the Feds did to the Hammonds was indefensible, and now many more people know that.

      2) They drew attention to BLM tyranny. How many of us, before this, really understood (or were even aware) of how bad the corruption has gotten regarding federal land “management” in the west? and many other agencies out of control ?

      3) They were NOT the first ones to use deadly force; the Feds were. The Feds have now permanently lost the moral high ground. The American Revolution worked because the Redcoats fired the first shots; the War Between the States failed because the Confederacy fired the first shots.

We need to verify what the witnesses have said as some conflict seems to be present ? But with so many eyewitnesses at hand we will get the truth of what actually happened. Realize the witnesses are incarcerated by the killers and they likely are not allowed to speak much if any except to their lawyers and those lawyers will remain tite lipped ! Have some patience and remain aware. Do not let your emotions rule your THINKING ! Simply await direction going forward and pay attention ! Go work out and get super fit and healthy and burn off some frustration ?

Remember Oath Keepers was not on board with the takeover from the get go. I completely agree with that thesis and still do. but some did not ? They made their own choices and here we are ? Lets take the positives and work with them going forward and point out all the fallacies as they arise !:

  6. The King of Great Britain is back! Just in different form.
Please read “The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America”
    May God help us!

  7. My condolences to the family of a fallen American. Lavoy is not the first, and surely will not be the last.
I am going to stray off the ‘reservation’ here and postulate a question that has troubled me for some time. As background, I served as a young USMC 0311 in Nam. I love and am extremely proud of the men I served with. The mission itself, however, was total Bravo Sierra.
There are two questions my life experience presents to me: What do we win?- and who benefits?
Most of the ‘choir’ who post on these pages is of similar mindset, I submit to you that most Americans are not. For every patriot who mourns the death of a committed friend there are nine “Americans” who are glad he is dead. Those who worship the state have no love for us no matter how we acquit ourselves.
I stated in a previous post that I would not miss breakfast for most “Americans.” I stand by that. It is not the military, the FBI, or any other institution that is our enemy- It is ‘We the People’ who are the problem. No one asks the question how a nation of 300 million plus can be governed by the winner of a quadrennial clown show on TV. The answer is the winner is just as bizarre, absurd, and corrupt as the process.
In my opinion freemen have to realize that there is an end. Life is not negotiable, all of us must die. We have no choice as to when but we do have great say as to how. To properly exercise that choice we must refrain from presenting ourselves as a “target rich environment” for those who have not only no problem with our demise, but who would also feel manly and joyful about our deaths. The feds and staters on 395 will receive commendations and promotions for their part in this murder. The mainstream news will present our friends as crazies who deserved no better; and things will continue to get worse for free men and women everywhere.
I intend to go boldly, but covertly, where I wish to go. I will go armed and conscious of my natural rights as a human being as delineated in our founding documents. When pressed I will attempt to give a good account of myself and force those who would violate my person or my rights to pay some sort of price for their transgression. I ask no mans help or permission to act, nor will I participate in any hierarchy, but I will, to the best of my ability, provide safety and assistance to brave souls I encounter along the way.
Semper Fidelis mi amigos, its been good to know ye.

    1. Well said. However, I was again given some hope when I read that Gallop Poll shows 49% are afraid of our federal government stripping away our freedom. How many will cower and surrender to slavery on their knees? Will any of the other 51% wake up to escape and fight the Matrix?
I like to read fiction until reality relives the story. Unfortunately ‘1984’ is real and ‘Soylent Green’ is fast approaching.

    2. This was a good piece of writing. You are right about to ask your initial two rhetorical questions because they evoke the primal meaning of our individual and collective battles as a society.
When our only responsibility for which we can control, is our own destiny, do we have the responsibility to fight for those who oppose our existence? In opposing us, they oppose themselves. I think not. It is as nonsensical as thinking the Christian based nations have a global responsibility to dilute their living standard to enable nations that despise their existence. To be continued…

    3. Agree on all points ! And also RVN 68-69 and yes Americans need to stop and THINK ! we have been played for fools far too long and it must stop. Many of the answers are at my site,.enjoy and good on Ya !

    4. Very well written; I wholeheartedly concur! I don’t know if it is a “troll blitz” in the comment sections following the news articles about Lavoy’s death, but I felt sick to my stomach reading the jeering, mocking comments about this rancher’s violent death. I saw the FBI video of the shooting, and I still do not agree with their narrative. There were snipers in the woods who likely opened fire on Lavoy while his hands were raised in surrender, and it was only when he was being fired upon did he reach inside his jacket. He did not “rush” the officers, but was trying to draw fire away from the occupants inside his truck. It also looked like the rear window was shot out, and that was the reason he took off after the 1st roadblock. Why would he stay there nearly 5 minutes if he did not want the officers to approach his truck? This is all very disturbing and it reminds me of a “Bonnie-and-Clyde” ambush with the premeditated intent to kill the spokesman of this protest. Are we so intimidated as a nation that we cannot speak out against injustice; that we have to fear for our lives? A very sad indication of how apathetic and ignorant Americans are, and how heavy-handed law enforcement has become. Praying for Lavoy’s family and friends…

    5. Very well written, Sun Tzu; I wholeheartedly agree. 8. Yes, the Bern is a socialist, but just maybe he is such a far left loon that in the general election he will scare the electorate and be defeated. Hilary, on the other hand, is a lying, corrupt POS with the full complicity of the media making her look like a princess instead of a witch. She scares me more than he does.

    1. I agree totally. Sanders is a lowlife scumbag, but he’s a far cry better than Hitlery Clinton. And, unless the election is rigged then he has no chance against any other candidate running for President

  9. Oregon. Generally I side with law enforcement and give them the benefit of doubt until proven otherwise. However, we have seen many changes in the behavior of our elected officials and LEOs in the last decade. We have seen our rights disappear, our wishes ignored, and our freedoms evaporate. We have seen continued assaults on the 2nd Amendment. The reason that we have the 2nd Amendment is so that we will have the means to throw-off a tyrannical government. My question is–when do we decide that our government has become too tyrannical? Our current government is so corrupt and evil that it is hard to imagine it getting worse.

    1. We are already there and the police state is as well, to enforce the many illegal supposed laws ? This one is a perfect example of the police state and the illegal supposed laws and actions of a corrupted system.

    2. The only law I side with is the only law: The Constitution of the United States, the rest is rubbish: What kind of man dons a badge, takes his oath to protect the Constitution of the United States from evil, then willfully shoots his fellow American? And knowingly knows who he shoots to be to be a patriot and a man of honor? Not just a warning shot, nor a wounding shot, but fill a man with enough lead to sink the Bismark, and then riddle a car with other free souls with more lead. There is plenty of training films that came out of Nazi Germany and that is the law you can show the world we live under.

  10. When I lived in Vermont Sanders was busy ruining Burlington. Believe me you do not want him as president. As for evil black rifles, I have an affection for them because they are what I use in USPSA competition. Besides what we use to compete is usually what military and LEO ends up with eventually so we have inadvertently become the R&D department for them. A lever gun like Lavoy Finicum’s just does not cut it. Go to youtube and search “#blackgunsmatter” and see what everyone thinks>

  11. The Humane Society where they place bleeding heart ads for local shelter donations yet where only 1% of donations actually go to the local shelter.

“Bernie Sanders is the advocate for a political system that murdered over two hundred million people in the twentieth century alone.”

    That says it all.

  12. Excellent article David. Isn’t it tragic that leftists can’t see the same logic about the 2nd, Amendment.

  13. Dear Bernie,
Since the mishaps at Oregon by our not so legitimate guberment, I think I will pack as much heat as possible. I don’t like being hunted either.
