Lockdown Highlights Shameful Mandated Vulnerability of ‘Gun-Free’ Zones

Translation: Remain oblivious. Only focus on what we want you to believe. (University of Chicago/ Facebook)

The University of Chicago went on lockdown Monday.  First reports gave no reason other than a nebulous online threat of “gun violence” from an unnamed individual that was being investigated by the FBI.

Subsequently, CNN added the suspect’s name and motive:

Jabari Dean, 21, was arrested Monday, accused of threatening to kill students and staff at the University of Chicago, authorities said. Citing court documents, they said that he had stated in a post on social media that he planned to execute approximately 16 students or staff, as well as “any number of white policemen.”

The message in total read:

This is my only warning. At 10AM Monday morning, I’m going to the campus quad of the University of Chicago. I will be armed with an M-4 carbine and two desert eagles, all fully loaded. I will execute approximately 16 white male students and or staff, which is the same number of time [Lacquan] McDonald was killed [shot]. I will then die killing any number of white policeman in the process. This is not a joke. I am to do my part and rid the world of white devils. I expect you do the same.

So much for the “progressive” stereotype about who the racists are.

If Dean had actually been capable and not alerted everyone, he’d have had a good chance. Because, unsurprisingly, UoC is a “gun free” campus, meaning all first responders would be able to do is hide, flee or bleed out until armed second responders assumed control.

Predictably, the school’s president shared nothing about the true nature of the threat in his “all clear” announcement. His interests are in perpetuating “progressive” policies, not in helping to mold students into informed adults, prepared for the responsibilities of citizenship:

The University of Chicago is committed to providing a safe and secure learning, working and living environment. Subject to the exceptions in Section III, the University prohibits the possession, use or storage of firearms, other lethal weapons, fireworks, and other dangerous objects or materials by anyone: (i) on any property owned, leased or controlled by the University, including but not limited to all buildings, land, parking areas, sidewalks and common areas; (ii) in any vehicle, owned, leased or controlled by the University regardless of location; (iii) at any external, University-sponsored activities or events; and (iv) employed by the University when conducting University business anywhere.

When, not if, a rabid wolf shows up among the sheep, the results will be predictable, as will the insistence of opportunists in government, the totalitarian lobby and the media that what we really need are more sheep. Meanwhile such islands of insane defenselessness will remain vulnerable to being shut down over internet posts, creating even more pressure for government to take away even more freedom under the fraudulent illusion that they are providing more security.

  1. oh come on anyone can tell it’s a gamer poser the moment he said “desert eagles”. he may as well have said he was carrying a Pancor Jackhammer.

    1. LOL – I thought the same thing when I saw “desert eagles”. I use that gun in Crossfire – online game. That is the last gun you would take to a mass shooting and way too expensive for most criminals. But, you still have to expect the unexpected!

  2. Obviously another Obama staged anti SECOND AMENDMENT staged event/joke involving dumbed down American public. Your can set your watch to these timed events.

    1. Cal, according to Melissa Gilbert, the mass shootings during some administrations are: Reagan=11; Bush sr.=12; Clinton=23; Bush jr.=20; Obama=162.
Obama’s count does not include any killing of Mexicans due to “fast and furrious.” Do you believe there could be any connection with the gun control agenda for this upsurge? That’s rhetorical, by the way.

  3. The violence is growing here in America (for a number of reasons) – the only decision we can make is how we react to it. We cannot possibly stop all of the evil in this world, only respond to it, but our responses can alter the actions of those that wish to do us harm. Why do these evil people choose to be so assertive and brave at gun-free zones almost exclusively! They are opportunistic in that they chose areas where there are no / few armed citizens to quickly stop them. We cannot control how others will act, but we can (and should have the option to) take the steps we choose to handle them – carrying a gun vs. cowering in fear.
And just imagine if this had been flipped as far as the race goes… another opportunity for our dear leader to grandstand on gun control. (His history in this is very consistent and predictable.)

  4. Really warhorse? Would you bet your life and that of your family on that? The point of the article is that gun-free zones don’t accomplish anything but provide killing fields. Nutjobs and posers feel safer in gun free zones. I agree he probably is a poser, but I’m not willing to take the 1 in a 100 chance that he’s not.

  5. Just remember schools and colleges are the best places to have false flags. It it the whole pulling on the heart strings of America the criminal Elite have come to appreciate.

  6. We must obey the constitution or change it. “Shall not be infringed” was stated that way for a reason. As long as there are people there will be some crazies that want to hurt others whether they use guns, knives, bare hands, cars, or bombs. If someone wants to kill you there is a very good chance it will happen, so there is no escape from crime as there is no escape for 4000 people a year dying in car wrecks. There are many ways of dying and that just can’t be erased. Removing guns from those that don’t hurt anyone with them will have no effect, so gun laws are useless in stopping crime. Ultimately, guns in the hands of the public are the last defense against a tyrannical government, so the 2nd amendment must be upheld. Working towards better mental health for all Americans will not only reduce crazies killing others, but will help families raise children that have better mental health.
