‘Former’ Drug Dealer Wants ‘Gutless … Coward’ Gun Owners Shot
“Want a gun? Take a bullet,” a hate-filled rant on Salon by Coppin State University writing teacher D. Watkins begins. “Take this, gutless NRA cowards — you can have a gun, once you understand the pain of being shot.”
So much for that “national conversation on guns” the totalitarian lobby says it wants to have. That discussion would appear to be pretty one-sided if “D” gets to set the rules.
“Gun praisers are just like the people who were in favor of slavery back in the day,” Watkins continues, apparently oblivious that the “gutless coward” NRA was founded by Union generals. Either that or he’s just a liar. “So if you love guns, if they make you feel safe, if you hold and cuddle with them at night, then you need to be shot. You need to feel a bullet rip through your flesh, and if you survive and enjoy the feeling—then the right to bear arms will be all yours.”
So much for accusing Second Amendment defenders of being haters and paranoids. So much for unalienable rights. As an aside, I’ve met gun owners from all over the country, for decades, and if any of them hold and cuddle guns at night, that’s a new one on me. Maybe it’s just a “D” thing.
Exactly who will be doing the shooting on “D’s” behalf remains unstated, but presumably, it will need to be an authorized government enforcer. Curiously, he’s accused police of being “out of control,” yet he still evidently demands they be the “Only Ones” with guns. Or perhaps he has another group in mind…
Presumably he only thinks white gun owners should be shot, because while he didn’t come right out and say so, were his “standard” to be applied as a condition of gun ownership for blacks, particularly if the cop doing the shooting were white, something tells me he wouldn’t approve.
Obviously this person’s grasp of … forget logic, try consistency, is challenged (to state things kindly). So naturally, he’s the darling of other establishment media venues like The New York Times, The Guardian, NPR and CNN. But there’s something else his CV blurb on Salon left out: He’s a “former” drug dealer “who sold death to his own people.” And by “virtue” of that, he enabled violent criminals — their turf wars and the other stupid, selfish and evil crap they inflict on “the community” — to thrive.
But that’s the fault of gun owners, right? Just not criminal gun possessors, like himself.
Bloody-minded tough guy here sure is a hypocrite.
Still, I do have a suggestion if “D” thinks people like me need to be shot first before we can keep our guns, one that I actually made to Salon:
Let’s test that out on a small scale first, to see how it works out. When may I expect you?
Just remember the truism when “D” and the catty collectivists at Salon call you a gutless coward: For “progressives,” every day is Opposite Day.
