Using SPLC Criteria, Founder Dees Should be on ‘Hate Watch’

Dees claimed Confederate flag as part of his heritage.

Oath Keepers  have long been targets of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which conflates them with anti-government extremists and haters. Of course their attacks conveniently ignore the oath being kept is to the Constitution, and that the bylaws of the organization exclude anyone from membership “who advocates … discrimination, violence, or hatred toward any person based upon their race, nationality, creed, or color.”

That doesn’t fit the narrative they want to advance, and as we’ve seen time and again, for “progressives,” every day is Opposite Day. That is once more demonstrated in a video posted in July that I just was made aware of, in which SPLC founder Morris Dees defended the Confederate flag.

[ot-video type=”youtube” url=”https://youtu.be/dQZZa2MdVVk”]

“This video is from the dedication of the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery Alabama on Nov. 5, 1989. According to Dees, ‘The Confederate Flag that’s flying over that capital today is just as much a part of my heritage as Dr. King’s March down 6th Avenue,’” the YouTube description reads. “Just three years later he sued to take the flag down in Holmes v Hunt.”

If Dees was condemning the flag in his interview, it sure doesn’t sound like it.

Based on the way SPLC has presented the entire Confederate flag issue, as one of hate instead of heritage, Dees’ statement would appear to make him eligible for his organization’s “Hate Watch” section. That will never happen, because hating and marginalizing people with traditional American values and religious views is what those falsely claiming the banner of “tolerance and diversity” is all about.

  1. Being listed on a Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) “hate list” should be interpreted as a compliment. The twisted, perverted, politically correct “logic” employed by the SPLC that uses their nefarious techniques to keep the donations coming in are paid their lofty salaries via those donations. Of course, the SPLC will never mention any possible conflict of interest in their work spewing bile about others that makes their donors believe their money is actually doing good instead of merely propping up an organization with a huge (to me) endowment and just imagine the great benefits and pension plan those SPLC “workers” receive for their…. ahem… labors.

All the above is just my opinion but it IS based on a few hours research about that den of lucre-loving lawyers and cohorts. A Google search will reveal information about that bunch that should make any non-brainwashed logical, rational person look askance at that damnable SPLC.

  2. All hypocrites and liars will get theirs in the end, and that includes the mongrel OBAMA and the race mixer Deblasio.

  3. Perhaps we as Oathkeepers should provide a Armed Deterrent Presence at the SPLC in case some nut case targets them for their extreme view.
