Oathkeeping Cop Dresses Down Security Guard for Harassing Citizens on July 4: “I Swore an Oath to the Constitution, Don’t Mess With It. Understand?”

We now have a clear candidate for Oath Keepers Peace Officer of the Year.

In the below video, a true oath-keeping peace officer stands up for the rights of Americans on the Fourth of July, 2015, by dressing down and warning a security guard to not mess with the Constitution that the officer swore an oath to defend.

[ot-video type=”youtube” url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdC2wfsNMLg”]

In the video, the officer can be heard to say:

He Lives Here …  Alright?  He’s watching fireworks.  It’s Independence Day, alright?  There’s a Constitution that I swear an oath to, so don’t freaking mess with it with these citizens, you understand me?

I know you’re not subjected to the Constitution when it comes to your job, but don’t mess with it.

They have a right to their property, they have a right to not be searched by anybody, you understand that?  They have a right not to be accosted.  He lives here.

I swore an oath to the Constitution.  I’m  not … Don’t mess with it.   You understand?

Simply OUTSTANDING.  This officer is a fantastic example of a true “peace officer” who takes his oath to the Constitution seriously.  I am  going to nominate him for Oath Keepers Peace Officer of the Year.   This is the kind of officer we need on the streets – one who understands his oath, understands the rights of the people, and is committed to defending the Constitution.   It appears the officer is dressing down a security guard, not another cop, since he says “I know you’re not subjected to the Constitution when it comes to your job.”   Private security guards don’t have to swear an oath as a condition of their employment (though they are still legally liable if they violate citizens’ rights).  But it is still OUTSTANDING.   What a way to celebrate Independence Day.  God bless him and his family.  They have reason to be proud of him, and so does his department and community.  Please leave a comment in the Youtube video, thanking this officer for laying down the law – the Supreme Law of the Land – to that security guard.

This is exactly what all officers need to do, and they need to do it whether they are witnessing abuse by security guards, by other police, or by federal agents, bureaucratic weenies, or politicians – anyone who violates the Constitution and the rights of the people needs a public dressing down like this.

I swore an oath to the Constitution.  DON’T MESS WITH IT.  Understand?

Priceless.   Go get em.’

  1. God Bless you, Officer for standing by your Oath and demanding others to abide by the U.S.Constitution. It takes courage to stand when lesser persons might just observe. Thank you, sir…. You are an honorable man!

    1. It is a very rare occasion, in these modern times, to see this dedication. One comment i have seen many times, and even made myself, is that we never see any of the “good” officers stand up to the wrongdoing of the “bad” officers. It always seems like they just look the other way. This guy definitely deserves Peace Officer of the year. He demonstrates he is willing to take that needed step, by holding his fellow officers accountable to their positions. Well done!

  2. Absolutely Priceless! The embodiment of a true PEACE OFFICER! I second this honorable man for peace officer of the year!

You are doing a great service Stewart, keep up the great work!

  3. He’s got my vote. He’s the first cop I’ve ever heard of standing up for the people – he makes me proud as hell!

    1. Thank you for your service, We need to see that their are still Officers that believe in America and the Constitution. God Bless you and yours.

  4. this guy is a true American and i would watch his back any time.God bless him and his family .

  5. LOVE IT! I wish we had more police officers, more men, and more citizens who understood and took a stand like this! This man to me is a HERO for standing up for not only us but all those who came before us and all those who will come after us. BRAVO, SIR!!

  6. What did the security officer do and was the cop called because the security guard was harassing a citizen? Whatever the reason the cop did an outstanding job. It’s too bad most American sheeple don’t feel the same way. Or the gay Military Generals. Their too busy putting dresses on and role reversing with their Kate Jenner types. As Donald Trump said. When he becomes President he will find a Patton or MacArthur to take care of ISIS and Russia. Speaking of Trump at least he’s not backing down for what he said speaking the truth about the Mexicans coming across the border. Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Ben Carson, and I think Carly Fiorina and Huckabee, all defended Trump’s 1st Amendment rights to say it. The other good ole boy Republican hacks like Jeb, Marco, and Christie attacked him. Also that bald bastard Karl Rove(spokesman for the Republican machine AKA, the Banks and Corporations) is trying to do to Trump what he did to Ron Paul last election. But Trump’s a different animal. Stump for Trump.

    1. Quinteastwood, I could not have Said It Better ! YES ! I wish this Country had more Men like Trump..( Who have The Balls To Tell it Like it IS..AND the Chutzpah to Back his Word UP ! } I`m sure there ARE many More Who Would,,IF..they Knew The Cop Standing behind them was A Friendly Cop !! But, with All the foreigners being Hired in to What usetabe Our Police Departments ,,,most of them ‘Just go along to get along. If This Prez had Protected OUR Borders..( And The Citizens Of THIS country…instead of Being the mouthpiece for His handlers.. This Nation Might Havea much
Better Chance of Survival than I Give it Now. Change IS Coming. AND YES “Change IS Needed”. Donald Trump Is Brash, For Sure, But he is Not Afraid. I Don`t Understand The Way It came out in The Remark’ About taking care of ISIS And Russia, ” Tho. for Russia is Not an Enemy of This Country. And Won`t be..( Unless The ”sic Leaders of this USA Keep On Meddling in Russia ‘s business ..( And Needling Putin ) I Think he Is A Man who will Stay Calm.. for Just So long. but Everyone Does Reach their Limits.,,Eventually. WE Know ISIS is An American-Made Commodity…Lets` keep that in mind..And Finish It OFF…with Russias` assist ! YES. as for the non-border mess.. .Many Will Stump Right alongside With TRUMP !!.

    2. Quinteastwood, I Did Comment On your Comment..Butfor Some ”reason ? It was Not shown.. I Totally agree with What you are Saying..And I Agree with Donald Trump !!

  7. Praise be to God,, It makes me feel so much safer with men like this protecting the rights of citizens. Thank you SIR.

  8. God bless our GOOD COPS. They were there when I was a kid, as well as growing up. This is an example that they still live and are always willing to stand up for what is good and right in our blessed Country. Let him stand with the best of what we as Americans are in this crazy world, and real police officers like Sheriff Mack, et.al. He’s got my vote!

  9. It seems to me that the country is finally waking up to what is being done to our country. What this cop did is a notice to the “establishment” that “we the people” are fed up with socialistic rules and unconstitutional laws. He’s only one man but he speaks for millions. Great job!

  10. We see enough “bad” cops. About time we see how a good cop reacts. Suggestion. This should also be watched on YouTube and “liked” so it goes viral. Would also be a plug for the Oath Keepers.

  11. Great, this officer gives me faith. Some police go out of there way to find trouble. Not this case. Just wait, be aware and it will appear. Then deal with the situation.

  12. What did the “security guard” do? We only have half the story. While I appreciate the Police Officers stand as it is my own, when reporting one must see the whole story.

  13. I have a son that is a police officer. He joined the Force after many years in the Military as a command pilot. He has now sworn that Oath more than once. Good men are hard to find today, it seems. But they are there. Count on it. Back then up and they will have Your back, as well.

    1. “Back then up and they will have Your back, as well”

They are lawfully required by their position to “have Your back, as well”. It matters not what a judge, bunch of judges, representatives, CoP’s (Chief of Police) etc say or order that it is not so.

They get THEIR lawful authority from either the US Constitution, or the Oath and they are REQUIRED to do as the SUPREME LAW of this land requires of them first because all laws MUST be in Pursuance thereof it to be lawful and binding on anyone here in America.

The problem is they do NOT keep the Oath to “support and defend” the US Constitution – which is a felony. They just “follow orders” and “just do their jobs” up to and including *Treason and **Terrorism against the American people.

Consider that the Oath is the ONLY means that any governmental professional law enforcement gets their LEGITIMATE and LAWFUL authority here in America because those who serve within our governments were FORBIDDEN to create a permanent military and governmental professional law enforcement. It is in writing, and it IS a contract that they all are under before any other, including the state Constitution, and the one they sign when they join and take the REQUIRED Oath.

Those that serve within our governments are LAWFULLY bound to use the Militias of the several states so that there could NOT ever be a “police” state, would know that there is NO such thing as “emergency powers” or “martial law”, or even “assassination powers” which IS First Degree Murder done openly here and being used against the people.

Law enforcement – state or general (federal) – replace the people as the Militia, and as Militia replacements their FIRST and most important duties are those constitutionally assigned to the Militias. Their Oath binds them to those duties.

If they cannot do them as LAWFULLY bound, then we must go back to the Militias so that our nation can be and stay FREE and Independent of world government.

The Militia has as its constitutionally assigned duties to:

      — Enforce the US Constitution and each state’s Constitution,
      — Enforce and keep the “Laws of the Union” (which are constitutional laws ONLY),
      — Protect the country against all enemies both domestic and foreign, and
      — “to suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions”.

And they are lawfully bound to do so, and it matters not who “above” them orders them differently. It jsut means that the Oath giver cannot be trusted. The Oath makes them PERSONALLY responsible for their actions.

Enforcing “color of law”, particularly now because they are being used to destroy our nation from within; governmental professional law enforcement are bring used against the people, the nation and most do not even realize it. But they should, they took the Oath!

This officer deserves the “Oath Keepers Peace Officer of the Year” and much more. Why?

He is standing up and fulfilling his duties as LAWFULLY required in THIS nation at a time when it is dangerous for them to do so as their own “brothers” in arms/blue (used to be blue; “arms” because they are basically a military unit right now) may start refusing to come to their aid, if not outright murder them for going against the “flow”.

He will be refused promotions, and drummed out – so to speak. He needs HIS back guarded by all who can, quite possibly from other officers as he is a rare and precious NEEDED person who one day should replace the TRAITORS we now have in office – state and general (so should others, and the other officers who stand for the US Constitution, our nation.) They/he are/is standing very “tall” and are very much needed.

God Bless and Keep him safe from ALL who would harm him and our nation!

      Stay Safe All!
      God Bless!!

If there were never intended to be action to defend the Constitution from those who are domestically attempting to destroy its power and authority, why would each Oath require it of those who take the Oaths?

Chief Tecumseh’s wisdom: “When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”

  14. At 18 I was a mom, today a grand mom. All my adult life I’ve not ever been to a 4th event or any other public holidays because the thought of people drinking mixed with the poor judgment by officers on post to keep order, was enough for me to opt out. Lately the examples set by Real Oath Keepers such as the Oath Keeper in this video, now nominated as Oath Keeper Peace Officer Of the Year, is gradually bringing me back to the long hoped for idea of really having a home in America. The Oath Keeper officer in the video is the practice of my ideal officer. My tears of gratitude, for the stand he has taken, are extinguishing my holiday fears. THANKYOU.

  15. God bless this officer and America! Every once in a while I am reminded that the sanctity of freedom under our glorious constitution in the USA is still alive and well. I salute you sir!!

  16. Excellent job. It’s good to see that there are officers who not only know their job but also the rights of the people.

  17. THIS OFFICER SHOULD BE COMMENDED FOR HIS STATEMENT WE NEED MORE OFFICERS AND CITIZENS TO STAND UP WHEN THEY SEE AN INJUSTICE AND POINT OUT THE LAW OF THE LAND.i TOOK THAT SAME OATH AND I I WILL STAND BEHIND IT EVEN UNTO DEATH

  18. This policeman is the best we have!!!! Why else did America become the best country in the world? I am proud of this policeman and I am also an oath keeper.

  19. This is the kind of Peace Officer that we need more of. An outstanding man doing an outstanding job. Whoever you are, officer, thank you!

  20. Let’s get this clear, the US Constitution applies only to the Federal government. It effects the states in that they can not sign treaties with foreign nations, and a few other things.

I can see a Federal Employee swearing an oath to uphold the Constitution, but it is belong insane for a state employee (like this cop) to do so.

When these state employees are swearing an oath to uphold the Constitution what are they doing? Swearing an oath that they won’t aid their state in signing treaties with foreign countries?

People need to think before they speak!

[Editor’s Note: I would humbly suggest that you go read the Tenth Amendment (and the Ninth while you’re at it), and also read Article VI of the Constitution … uhmmm, like, maybe, even before *you* speak.
Thanks for reading at Oath Keepers. Keep reading. It’ll come to you if you read enough.
    Salute!
    Elias Alias, editor]

    1. inalieablewrights, he is upholding liberty and you pick at him, why????? are you a libtard who wants to live under dictators?????

    2. “Let’s get this clear, the US Constitution applies only to the Federal government. ”

Because the US Constitution, the Supreme LAW of THIS land requires it of EVERYONE who serves within our governments – state and general. If one works for the government – state or general (federal) they are REQUIRED and BOUND to support and defend it. The only difference is the Oath required of those that would be US Presidents, they are held to a HIGHER standard, that of Preserving, Protecting, and Defending the US Constitution.

Article VI: ““… This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; …; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, AND ALL EXECUTIVE AND JUDICIAL OFFICERS, BOTH OF THE UNITED STATES AND OF THE SEVERAL STATES, SHALL BE BOUND BY OATH OR AFFIRMATION, TO SUPPORT THIS CONSTITUTION;…”

I suggest that you read the US Constitution, try to get one that has NOT be rewritten. Also the same for your state Constitution (re rewritten), you will see that ALL who serve within our governments are REQUIRED and LAWFULLY BOUND by Oath to support and defend the US Constitution. It matters not what governmental position they occupy, they – to be lawful in actions – are REQUIRED to take and KEEP that Oath: dog catcher, governor, LE, postal, DMV, FBI, CIA, NSA, TSA, any governmental agency, etc – the position matters not, they MUST take the Oath.

Also important for any governmental employee to realize is that they ONLY have the lawful authority of the branch that the position they occupy is under.

EX: The BLM is under the executive branch, the ONLY LAWFUL authority it has is to enforce the laws created by the legislative branch.

EX: Or take state Code enforcement, they can ONLY do the duties the state Constitution assigns to the executive branch. They can NOT create laws, regulations, etc that are lawfully binding on the people, that belongs to the state legislative branch under the Separation of Powers that our federal Constitutional Republic has at its core.

If the law, regulation, etc is not “in Pursuance thereof” the US Constitution and created by the legislature who are voted into office (others who serve within the legislative branch are only allowed lawfully to assist) then is NOT lawfully binding on the people, it is “color of law”, pretend laws/regulations/etc, it is basically the misuse of power made possible only because wrongdoer is believed to have the power to do so, is clothed with the authority of state though that power was NEVER delegated.

The reason is the US Constitution IS our government (basically) and the highest “contract” that all who SERVE within our governments – state and general – are bound to keep safe as IT is the base/foundation of our freedom and independence.

These might help you to understand America better. We do not give our allegiance to any person who serves within our government, they are there to carry out assigned duties. Our allegiance is to the US Constitution -it cannot be bought, blackmailed, etc. It can only be destroyed from within or by making the American people forget it and no longer read or dumbed down to much to understand it.

Ronald Reagan: “I had a copy of the Soviet Constitution and I read it with great interest. And I saw all kinds of terms in there that sound just exactly like our own: ‘Freedom of assembly’ and ‘freedom of speech’ and so forth. Of course, they don’t allow them to have those things, but they’re in there in the constitution. But I began to wonder about the other constitutions – everyone has one – and our own, and why so much emphasis on ours. And then I found out, and the answer was very simple – that’s why you don’t notice it at first. But it is so great that it tells the entire difference. All those other constitutions are documents that say, ‘We, the government, allow the people the following rights,’ and our Constitution says ‘We the People, allow the government the following privileges and rights.’ We give our permission to government to do the things that it does. And that’s the whole story of the difference – why we’re unique in the world and why no matter what our troubles may be, we’re going to overcome”.

      J. Reuben Clark: “God provided that in this land of liberty, our political allegiance shall run not to individuals, that is, to government officials, no matter how great or how small they may be. Under His plan our allegiance and the only allegiance we owe as citizens or denizens of the United States, runs to our inspired Constitution which God himself set up. So runs the oath of office of those who participate in government. A certain loyalty we do owe to the office which a man holds, but even here we owe just by reason of our citizenship, no loyalty to the man himself. In other countries it is to the individual that allegiance runs. This principle of allegiance to the Constitution is basic to our freedom. It is one of the great principles that distinguishes this “land of liberty” from other countries”.

Hope this helps, but more importantly I hope this encourages your interest to find out about OUR legitimate government as it REALLY is, not how those who wish to destroy it presents it to the masses.

      Stay Safe and God Bless!

      Cal

  21. This man has the brains and the knowledge to be in the House of Representatives or in the Senate. Many that are there right now, do not have a freaking clue.

If this man ever runs, I will support him aggressively.

  22. Wow…. I am truly impressed! I can’t believe what I’m seeing. I honestly didn’t think there were ANY police officers out there anymore that would stand up for the right of the citizen. This gives me hope. Keep on, keeping on!

  23. Thank you ….. young man ! A job well done . Please become a member of the L.A. County Sherff’s office . Love to have you here …… IF YOU CAN HANDLE THIS S— HOLE !

  24. I love that guy! I wish more peace officers would stand up for the people and not just “do their jobs” for the controllers. We need to continue to use the term PEACE OFFICER more and more and get away from LEO. Keep up the great work OKers! Long live the REPUBLIC!

  25. Perhaps we should find out a ‘little’ more about this law enforcement officer before nominating him for officer of the year. You know, just in case his recorded statement is not entirely representative of the rest (99%) of his public and private life. I believe what is being proposed qualifies as a ‘knee-jerk-reaction’, tempting as it is.

  26. This is great ,he should win some thing.Love to see this in our local police department .This Man stands out for sure

  27. This is a Law-enforcement officer honoring his Oath of office ; This is what America is supposed too be like and this should give hope to everyone that things are starting to change .

City Fire Fighter emergency services 1954-1959

  33. That’s just fantastic I’m blown away by that officer’s outstanding integrity . BUT that’s hardly the norm today we find ourselves more or less captive and scrutinized to the highest legal & moral standard in the very state we were born in by younger officer’s who think of us as the enemy like we are all guilty and therefor should be treated like criminal’s Maybe had they been working anywhere near Wall street they might not have gotten away with looting & plundering the nation into poverty ..So while we can’t get down the street without a license plate light out without attracting instant law enforcement attention , can you imagine that you shine a Mag light on any license plate and you can see it on Mar’s but have a bulb out and your overhauled on the side of the road . I’m afraid to say a word because of there attitude …

  34. Hi, this is a very nice posts for guards we are also having a guards company and require new guards most of the time. i appreciate your effort. thanks. . .
