Oath Keepers To Stand Down From Sugar Pine Mine
by Shorty Dawkins
After an administrative law judge put on hold any plans by a federal agency to enforce an order to stop mining, Oath Keepers of Josephine County will stand down from the Sugar Pine mine.
According to Mary Emerick, Information Officer for the Josephine County chapter of Oath Keepers, in a statement made on Thursday, the guards are leaving the Sugar Pine Mine outside Galice in Southern Oregon, where they have been for five weeks. But they will maintain a staging area north of Grants Pass.
The miners will have their day in court, which was the whole purpose of the Oath Keeper Security Operation. Mission accomplished!
Well done, Josephine County Oath Keepers, and everyone who stood for the miners Rights. You stand tall in our eyes. Congratulations!

Congratulations! The entire team should be very proud! I’m privileged to be part of such an effective and professional organization. Thank you for standing your ground. Freedom and right to due process still exist was long OK is standing watch…

There are very few active organizations that obtain a level where I financially support. Oathkeepers clearly makes that grade. Thank you to all who continue to spread the word, live the tenants, and back them up.
Salute brothers!
i am proud to say i served a total of nine days at the Sugar Pine Mine, i had the pleasure of meeting alot of like minded individuals who i know can call brothers and sisters. it was a very humbling experience and was great to work with all the men and women who all acted very professional. thank you for letting be a part of this operation. You got the BLM to accept a Judicial stay, the result of a court filing they didn’t oppose, to prevent the destruction of property they weren’t planning. That’s even more impressive considering the BLM didn’t plan on any enforcement until the matter had been fully adjudicated. Bravo, effort well spent.
Wonderful!! Am so glad these government bullies have been put in their place! They keep stealing land that hardworking people have trying to make a living from. They need to stop their nasty bullying techniques!
I was about ready to drive to Oregon to help as much as I could, but it appears that the Oath Keepers have assisted in resolving the issue (temporarily).
Job well done by all who support the U.S. Constitution. Congratulations to all of you.
Well done brothers! Stand in the gap means more than just words… Salud!
Stay alert, even though the judge has issued an order in favor of your “day in court”, we all know the underhanded tactics of the gov’t agencies! Do not let your guard down, until it is over.
Good job stand up for what’s right you have a lot of friends how has your back.
I wish to express a “job well done” to all of those that sacrificed (many left their jobs and sources of income for up to 5+ weeks, some traveled 3,000+ miles), and that expression of gratitude needs to be extended to their families that sacrificed too much for too long. They are all my hero’s and they are the greatest of American’s.
They might not be well known social icon’s or wealthy, but they definitely are the bravest and very best of America’s citizens.
These wonderful people, stewards of the constitution, many from backgrounds of military, ex-military, LEO’s, ex-LEO’s, and patriot volunteers, would lay down their lives for the powerless and for what they hold in their hearts and for their love of this great Republic and in defense of their sworn oath to defend and to protect it..
Their unwavering loyalty is to their “Oath to uphold the US Constitution” against its enemies both foreign and domestic, and their oath is not to horribly corrupt politico’s that have never even read or understood the US Constitution.
I am honored to had been able to play a very small role in helping to keep the necessary funds, materials, and supplies flowing in.
