Tom DeWeese On The SPLC

[Note from Elias Alias, editor: Oath Keepers has pointed out for years that the SPLC sells profiles on Americans to the U.S. government, works with the Department of Homeland Security, targets average American citizens for daring to dissent against various governmental policies, and trains police departments, all at the same time it hammers Oath Keepers and other Constitutionalist individuals and organizations. In 2011 I published a large, five-piece article called “An Empire Strikes Home” which featured two serious pages on the information which Tom DeWeese has just published at News With Views. I can verify that what Mr. DeWeese has published is true enough, and he’s written it up nicely, so I want to share it with our readers here. This constitutes a penetrating look into the MindWar in which we at Oath Keepers find ourselves involved.]

SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTER AND THE DEPT. OF HOMELAND SECURITY

[Author’s Note: Last year Dr. Ben Carson upset Barrack Obama by speaking out against Obamacare during a public meeting in which Obama was also present. It caused shock waves and immediately catapulted Dr. Carson into the public eye and many now promote him as a possible presidential candidate in 2016. Yet, for this act, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has now placed Dr. Carson on its “Extremist” watch file. That’s what every American is faced with if they dare speak out against the radical Progressive agenda.
A while back I was asked to address the Congressional Tea Party Caucus on Capital Hill concerning the threat to Conservatives by the Southern Poverty law Center. This past year the SPLC issued yet another attack against me and those fighting Agenda 21, calling us a radical fringe element. And still, the SPLC has its contracts with the Department of Homeland Security. That’s why I believe the SPLC is a danger to freedom and why I’m renewing my call for the new Republican led congress to seriously investigate this dangerous anti-free speech hate group. Here was my testimony. TD]

Briefing to the Tea Party Caucus of the US House of Representatives

My name is Tom DeWeese, President of the American Policy Center, and according to the Southern Poverty Law Center I am a right wing extremist, a racist and a potentially violent terrorist.

In March, 2010, SPLC issued a report entitled “Rage on the Right: The Year in Hate and Extremism,” in which groups opposed to issues like the Obama health care plan and illegal immigration were lumped with white supremacist groups like the National Socialist Movement and Skin Heads.

In August, 2010 SPLC launched an attack against my organization and our national conference, The Freedom Action Conference, held at Valley Forge, PA, and featured such speakers as best selling author Tom Woods, former presidential candidate Michael Badnarik, Sheriff Richard Mack, several respected state legislators, and many more well known spokesmen.

The title of the SPLC attack against me read, “Patriot Rhetoric Becomes Increasingly Violent,” and said we were “united by rage” at the federal government. Not one speaker at our conference advocated violence or lawlessness of any kind. Yet we were labeled as dangerous and potentially violent terrorists.

Annually SPLC puts out a list of what it calls “hate” groups and individuals it deems dangerous to the nation. That list is almost exclusively respected pro-Constitution spokesmen.

Now why do I care what this private organization, with its own political agenda, says about me?
Because the Southern Poverty Law Center has direct ties to the Department of Homeland Security, helping to write official DHS policy that may affect my life, my freedom, my ability to travel and my ability to speak out.

  1. The SPLC is a TREASONOUS group working AGAINST the USA and the American people. When the DHS or anyone else who serves within our governments uses their information, everyone connected in the smallest way, and particularly the head of that branch of the government is allowing treason – which is treason.

So, LEA;s you took over OUR constitutionally assigned Militia duties with the creation of governmental professional law enforcement to:

    — Enforce the US Constitution and each state’s Constitution,
    — Enforce and keep the “Laws of the Union” (which are constitutional laws ONLY),
    — Protect the country against all enemies both domestic and foreign, and
    — “to suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions”.

Those are the FIRST duties you have per your Oath. So when are you starting to do them?

Or as one LE answered me, “Don’t be stupid, they have all kinds of arms and trained people”. (or something very similar)

IF you do not have the “stuff” to do the duty as the constitution requires of you, it is time for you to step aside, assist in training the people and the Militia will do it as constitutionally assigned. Remember the First thing in the Oath is to SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE US CONSTITUTION above everything else; orders of superiors, duties of the position.

Taking and KEEPING the Oath is the ONLY lawful authority LEA’s have because the US Constitution FORBIDS

  2. Just got done writing my Reps in DC (as if expecting ANY action) nicely asking for congressional investigation of the SPLC, and I’m not holding my breath, thank you. Years ago seeing that monicar I would skip the page, but now the SPLC needs oversight and investigation, you are correct!
