Testimonial: My father lied about his age to join, went through the invasion of Normandy at a tender age. My dear father came home a seriously damaged man. He lived his life as a severe alcoholic. He was despised, but he gave his life for the freedom of those who reviled him. I just wanted to tell someone somewhere how much he meant to me. I always saw him as a hero!
