Testimonial:  I have been in the Marine corps for a little over three years and speak as not only a Marine but a conservative American.

With the recent outcry for gun control in light of recent mass shootings, I am
appalled by the efforts of certain individuals on Capitol Hill to restrict weapons . When going on leave back home, a rather unsettling topic is repeatedly asked of me, when I am visiting with friends and family. “would you take action against US citizens?”

I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would never do such a thing. But one thing I do fear would be the enforcement of such legislation through massive force. Unfortunately I fear that many individuals in police forces and across the military have completely lost sight of what they are supposed to be doing and who they are protecting. And it frightens me to say that said individuals have already forgotten the oaths of enlistment they took and it only seems fitting that to assure others that in no event would I ever follow an order contrary to my oath of enlistment.

Sincerely, a concerned citizen
