Testimonial: In April 1970, I first took an oath to uphold and defend our Constitution (enlisted USMC). This oath, mandated by Article VI of our Constitution, went something like this…
I, Lucille M Glazier, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. So help me God!
I repeated that oath in 1975 when sworn in as an Alaska State Police officer, then in 1977 with Anchorage Police Department. I was the 2nd female State Police Officer and Crash Rescue Fireman in Anchorage, AK. I’ve reaffirmed this same oath for every Department of Defense effort from 1987 through 2012 upon which I have worked.
Today, I reaffirm and repeat that oath with full intent to keep this oath. I’m an American, PROUD OF OUR Constitution and our Bill of Rights! I support what MY ancestors fought (and some died for) and find it to be of real and lasting value. I want THIS Constitution to be as is for my children and grandchildren.
It’s time! Time to standup and make a personal stand for something I really believe in and want available for my descendants. If all I leave my Grandkids is my commitment to Christ and this country it shall be enough.
After careful consideration / conversation between Gordon and I, yours truly has become a full member.
