Testimonial: I grew up knowing my family had a strong history of Military service. My Grandfather was a Screaming Eagle during Korea. I had four Uncles serve in Vietnam, one didn’t come back. My Dad and his brother served in the Marines. My Step-dad was in the Navy. Then came me.
I signed my enlistment papers at the age of 17 & 1/2 in 1997 after days of begging my mother to co-sign. After graduation I reported to the MEPS station in Los Angeles, Ca in October 1998. I took my Oath that day, and it has remained with me. Petty Officer Rowe was there to congratulate me when we were done. I took that Oath to heart and have lived it ever since.
