Around 18 people held up signs in protest of illegal immigration on the Center Street overpass of Interstate 5 on Saturday.
The protest was organized by Oregonians for Immigration Reform, which held protests across the state this weekend.
Cynthia Kendoll, president of the group, said that protests were occurring nationwide Saturday regarding the immigration surge at the Mexican-American border.
Protestor Brian Wilson, of Rickreall, was at the event representing the group Oath Keepers.
“We’ve been flipped off a few times, that’s about it,” Wilson said. “Mostly we get honks in support.”
