Oath Keepers Advisory on Upcoming Policy on Texas Border
This is just a brief announcement to let all members know that Oath Keepers’ national leadership has scheduled a conference for Board members tonight, Friday, June 27, 2014, to discuss possible involvement with the border problem in Texas.
There have been unofficial and incorrect rumors circulating online which are requesting Oath Keepers members to join with non-state-sanctioned groups to show up at the border. That is why we are announcing that Oath Keepers will work out a plan which will not involve Oath Keepers with any non-State sanctioned activity on the border.
What the Board of directors will discuss this evening will include details on how and where and when Oath Keepers will officially become involved. Oath Keepers will announce our findings and plans formally and send that announcement to our full membership lists.
In the meantime, any of our members who may receive invitations to work at the border with any other groups are advised to rely upon the results of our conference tonight. We will post a statement of policy on Saturday, June 28, 2014.
Oath Keepers will consider an option to offer our assistance to the proper government organizations, such as the Texas State Guard. The Texas State Guard is a great example of a well-regulated and State-sanctioned militia, (i.e., a Constitutional militia), and we will have more to say about that in our announcement.
