Oath Keepers Advisory on Upcoming Policy on Texas Border

Emblem of the Texas State Guard
Emblem of the Texas State Guard

This is just a brief announcement to let all members know that Oath Keepers’ national leadership has scheduled a conference for Board members tonight, Friday, June 27, 2014, to discuss possible involvement with the border problem in Texas.

There have been unofficial and incorrect rumors circulating online which are requesting Oath Keepers members to join with non-state-sanctioned groups to show up at the border. That is why we are announcing that Oath Keepers will work out a plan which will not involve Oath Keepers with any non-State sanctioned activity on the border.

What the Board of directors will discuss this evening will include details on how and where and when Oath Keepers will officially become involved. Oath Keepers will announce our findings and plans formally and send that announcement to our full membership lists.

In the meantime, any of our members who may receive invitations to work at the border with any  other groups are advised to rely upon the results of our conference tonight. We will post a statement of policy on Saturday, June 28, 2014.

Oath Keepers will consider an option to offer our assistance to the proper government organizations, such as the Texas State Guard. The Texas State Guard is a great example of a well-regulated and State-sanctioned militia, (i.e., a Constitutional militia), and we will have more to say about that in our announcement.

Thank you!

  1. Count me in, lets go to the border. As USA folks it is our obligation since our Govt will not do what is right.

  2. As a civilian member of the Oath Keepers here in MD, I can tell you I’ve been waiting for the mail because I view this as an opportunity to be called to service. Thank you for taking the time to think it through and to be sure that what, if anything, we do is the most effective possible action from all angles.

I am looking forward, if called, to serving in whatever way I can to help secure our borders and protect those who live in areas affected by this situation.

  3. It’s very simple. The hell with the state or federal governments. They are not doing their job.

Your statement sounds like lawyers double speak. Citizens should rise up and defend the border against the hoards and whores who are jumping the border and pretending to protect it.

Don’t be weaseling around the problem. Get down and get dirty if you have to. Stop these invaders from raping the uSA.

Close and seal the border. Use force as needed.

  4. Moderation.

In others words you will see if my words meet your approval.

    You sound like the government.

  5. If my words are censored you will no longer see any support from my dollars.

[Editor’s Note: HH, thanks for the threat. I post most of the comments which are submitted by the public at this site. My two Associate Editors also help me with that task. Let me ask you one question please – are there any green-toothed slime-mouthed idiots out there who take delight in trying to shift the consciousness of this website away from its intended tone and quality? Do you think that any trash-talking moron who stumbles into this site has some God-given right to trash this site with his distorted mental defecation?

While you think on such things, allow me to note for you that this is a big wide and wicked world and there are all sorts of people whose comments will not make it past my nose, or the noses of my two assistants. If that bothers you, then so be it. Your threat is worthless, and your attitude is arrogant and narcissistic. Our readers deserve the quality of consciousness they come here for. I will decide what does and does not gain a footing on this site. Got that? Good. Thanks for reading.

  6. I am a Nam vet from 1971-72. Saw some “s**t” but not like many before and since me. Regardless, I have NEVER nor WILL ever rescind the oath I took when I ENLISTED at 18 in the US Army FOR Vietnam and infantry. As life often does, I have been dealt a series of blows that were unforeseen and devestating that have left me without the ability to contribute monitarily to the causes I believe in, including this one. Without going into detail, I was totally destroyed in EVERY way by a wife of 20 years in 2011 (I worked thirty years for, and was worth 1-1.5 million and lost all to pure evil, only to then find out a year later that I am dying of congestive heart failure I believe was due to the my exposure to Agent Orange that the VA refuses to acknowledge). OK…I guess I did go into detail after all. Anyway…the reason behind my post is, I so wish I had the ability to not only FUND but to volunteer to stand with my brothers in any and ALL areas in the fight to preserve this GRAND REPUBLIC! I would leave for Texas tomorrow if I had the means. All I can do is pray to the one TRUE God, and believe me, I DO!!! God Bless my brothers that KNOW what duty and HONOR are. That KNOW the closeness of comrades in arms to where one would willingly take a bullet for a buddy type Love. I truly wish I could contribute in some way at all, but I have no income, I am living in my 5th wheel trailer (three years now) on my 81 yearold mothers place, just waiting to die. I have my bad days, and the others are worse. God Bless you all, and my prayers are with you. PLEASE do not let this Republic die without a fight. My family has fought, bled and died since 1774. I have two nephews still in service today. I have an ancestor on the plaque at the Alamo (Isaac Millsaps….somewhere along the years, someone dropped the “S”)….REGARDLESS….this greatest of ALL nations must be preserved. I will until my final breath, not give in.

Thank you, and may God Bless

[Editor’s Note: Yo, Michael – Thank you for your service in Vietnam. Welcome Home, Bro. Regarding what you can do to help, well, Bro, your testimony here is help aplenty. Take care of yourself and your mom, and spread the word whenever you get an opening to do so. We appreciate you.

    Salute! and Semper Fi!, Michael;
Elias Alias, editor (and ‘Nam Vet too.]

  7. I am a Tea Party member whose hopes are to vote these tyrants out of office. My hopes are looking more unfulfilable every day though with the Republican Party Ruling Elite willing to cooperate with the leftists to keep their jobs. We are Germany 1933. I am also a SF vetersan with combat service in Vietnam and other places I won´t mention. I also took the oath and accept it as binding for life. Earlier in the year I tried to get several pro US Constitution organizations interested in posting signs outside US Military organizations ¨NOT TO FIRE ON AMERICAN CIVILIANS.¨ I received some favorable responses but since I don´t have Access to the anti Obama leadership, I did not touch many people who make the decisions. It sounds dumb but really not, the individul soldier still has the option of pulling the trigger or not. Many of them will not obey an ilegal order. Without the Army, Obama has little force to coerce the American people into accepting his dictatorship. It is also a rabble rouzer. Most Americans don´t know why the Army would want shoot us. This will wake them up……maybe. Just a suggestion on my part. If I were rich I would pub pone on I95 Nothe just north of Fayetteville, NC and at intervals along I95 to the Pentagon. Sometimes you have to rabble rouse to wake up the civilians. P

  8. Michael Millsap, My prayers go out to you Brother. Rest assured, this country will not fall, our freedom will be preserved bu Patriots and we will not fail. Your words come from the heart. We the people will never surrender or quit, we have the will ….you have done your part ….you answered your countries call…we can take it forward….from a fellow Vietnam Vet and Brother. Enjoy the time you have left and sorry for your denial by the VA, it seems to be the norm anymore. This administration is disgusting and leaving a Marine in Mexico says a lot about how they regard our service personal. Hang in there Brother and God Bless you.

  9. Thank you and your family members for your taking of your Oaths to this unique Republic. Thank you for your personal sacrifice while in harms way, and your continued honor and present day loyalty to your Oath.
Please don’t right yourself off. Get up and get involved in some local church groups, volunteer, meet some new people. Maybe even someone special. Seek partime work somewhere answering phones or greeting people.
If you reached out, helped people, circulated again and made new friends, and most importantly seek immediate medical remedies for your health issues, you just might, just maybe, find the happiness again today that can help heal the damage done by some traumatic life experiences. It sounds like you have Way-Too-Much good honorable spirit to give up on happiness, and the kind of successes in life that you once knew.

  10. I am not a member of Oath Keepers, although I certainly support your organization and your stated mission from afar. As the Bundy Ranch situation demonstrated, this is not my first rodeo. Among other things, I worked with Bob Wright and the Minutemen on the New Mexico border in October 2005, so I have a little experience at this particular subject.

As always, any proposed action involving the constitutional militia, the Three Percent and, in your case, Oath Keepers, ought to be subjected to some critical questions:

    1. What is the threat to innocent lives? Where is it coming from?
    2. What is the proper course of action to alleviate that threat?
    3. WHO is proposing the action? What are their motives?
    4. Do such people have the ability (and yes that includes experience, vision, discernment and command presence) to carry it out? (People who call for volunteers have a commander’s DUTY to care for their people, not to risk them on stupidities, and to carry out the proper mission — if it is proper — in a way most likely of success of that mission.)
    5. Finally, is the course of action consistent with the mission statement and principles of the organization/movement?

In the case of the Bundys the answers to the first two questions rightfully overrode concerns about 3 & 4 and thus the answer to 5 was obvious. The prospect of another Waco was the immediate danger and the overarching concern. The answers to 3 & 4 were not germane to what was the proper COA — get out to the Bundys and support them by interposing the armed citizenry between them and the armed Feds who immediately threatened them. That is not to say that the answers to 3 & 4 did not assume importance later. They did. But now, in this instance, in the absence of an immediate deadly threat, it is proper to ask those questions up front.

    My concerns:

The answer to Question 1 is that there is no immediate threat to innocent lives and while perhaps federally inspired and certainly a violation of law, it does not meet the test of immediate response.

As near as I can determine from the “strategic vision” announced by the organizers, the answer to Question 2 is also no.

In the absence of compelling answers to 1 & 2, the answers to 3 & 6 become more important and here I can find no one who can answer them satisfactorily as of this writing.

Thus, the overriding question — # 5 — becomes even more critical. Is the proposed COA consistent with the principles and mission statement of the organization or movement mission statement and principles? What is accomplished by a picket line of armed volunteers threatening to shoot unarmed, half-starved and thirsty children? I agree that the invasion is devilish in its conception, carried out by collectivists who could give a shit less about how many kids die along the way, but will the proposed COA do ANYTHING about it other than to help make the other side’s propaganda points?

Only the Oath Keepers can answer Question 5 for the Oath Keepers. As for my advice to Three Percenters, based on what I know now, stay as far away from this incipient exercise in cluster coitus as you can.

    Mike Vanderboegh

[Editor’s Note: Mike – Thank you. I will forward your comments to the Board of Directors and Stewart Rhodes for their consideration when we hold our conference call again on Sunday (June 29, 2014). We all appreciate your good counsel. Power to the Three Percent!

  11. Glad to see that we are trying to get out in front of this and do things the right way.
And Elias, thanks brother, for your response to HH. Made my morning! 🙂

  12. Besides moral, financial, supplies, outreach, and awareness; how does Oath Keepers see its involvement as part of its charter? I’m concerned that Oath Keepers could be viewed as some right wing cuckoos nest. I hope our BoD thinks about this carefully. Lets put out a press release, lets get on the phone with the Governor of Texas, lets support with logistics, but I don’t think this is a boots on the ground venture for OK. I’m concerned about another debacle. We don’t need more bad press.

With that said, If the Governor of Texas, The Texas Rangers, The Texas State Guard, or any other State-sanctioned group asks for our man power; then by all means lets go, and sign me up.

Also, to our Editor Elias Alias. You and your cohorts do good work here sir. Keep up the good job. A public site needs moderation to prevent every two-bit keyboard jockey cant post smut and call it Oath Keeper gospel. You stay the course sir.

[Editor’s Note: GLM1911, thank you for good counsel. One of the lessons learned from Bunkerville is that we’re one organization in a crazed and precariously-poised society. We require more planning before we leap into the fray in any circumstance. I will be asking the Board to keep our organization on mission. We already agree with your take on the matter, that we focus first on the Governor’s office, then the Texas Rangers and the Texas State Guard. From there I will work to ensure that we will spread the consciousness to various American Legion and VFW and other Veterans organizations. My belief is that Oath Keepers is an educational organization and that we should keep very close to that mission statement until life and limb are threatened, which, as Mike Vanderboegh noted in his comment above, was the case at the Bundy Ranch back in April of this year when the BLM brought out a veritable army against those cowboys. We are assuredly reviewing the many lessons learned (some the hard way!) at Bunkerville. Thank you for your support. And btw, thank you for the encouragement. I appreciate it more than you might know. I’ve been five years in this bunker, seven days a week, and the risk of “burn-out” is always lurking at the back of my mind. Just knowing that some of our members appreciate the work I do is a blessing to me.

  13. I continue to be impressed by the leadership of the Oath Keepers. I understand exactly where you guys are coming from and applaud your decision to not jump into this in a hasty manner.

  14. Glad to see some action here but until you improve your civilian comms I’m not expecting much. (Dues paying member)

  15. One small caution. Oathkeeper’s ranks are not mammoth. In all planning, take into account the dangers of spreading too thin. The greatest danger: response fatigue. The enemy within is huge and well-funded by the money they take from us – already far and into the future. They are in position to nickel and dime us – literally – to death with the emergencies they create. One consideration: We need to cherry-pick. Having said that, the crisis at the border, planned and created by our own bureaucrats with the support of our wee president, is worthy of our participation if only for the public to see that response is possible, that we are only powerless if we choose to be.

  16. What does “Your comment is awaiting moderation” mean?

[Editor’s Note: Lawrence, it means that one of our editors or associate editors will read the content of the comment to cull any wrongful content before posting it. Sometimes this process takes hours, as we sometimes have to sleep or do other tasks. We try to get the comments up asap. Thanks, Bro.

  17. I too am a Vietnam Vet. Volunteered and my mom had a fit. Glad I went and more so that I came back. My ancestors, on both sides of my family signed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and as I am from Philadelphia, I now know something of my roots.
I would like to remind all, that the Founders gave us the best system ever for self governmet, but it is only as good as the people we put in it. The good news is we have an election this November that I’m sure is as important as any in my life. Spread the word, some take it all for granted.

  18. I am a retired member of the Texas State Guard. We already have units in South Texas helping the DPS and Border Patrol in monitoring the activities on the Border. Organizations within the Guard are making preparations to reinforce those units when necessary.

  19. Thank you Elias, for your sober restraint in what must often seem like a thankless task. Many of the comments above are little better than the ^#(*#!%#@ kind of graffiti seen on walls.MDC1VOK above expresses my own sentiment, and that of most OKs.I’ll remind readers that we are trying to mobilize what is primarily an educational organization into a mobile force, with all the logistical and other needs of an army – not easy!We learned som harsh lessons at Bundy Ranch, and the cool calculating approach now being used by OK leadership is just what we need.

  20. Elias, I live in Texas, Seventh generation, i have been watching this now, unbelievable situation closely. I believe right now , that the State Guard is only playing a very limited role, Gov. Perry has sent additional Dept Of Pubic Safety Officers(State Troopers) and Ranger Division, to The Border to help stop collateral damage, such as Drug Trafficking. The US Border Patrol is inundated with massive flow of illegal immigrants, coming up by Thousands from Honduras, and they are severely undermanned. Ranchers and Property owners, say this by far,is the worst, they have seen illegal immigration problem in their life time.

  21. Hello Oath Keepers! I am the self appointed president of the unofficial Oath Keeper’s O.F.G. (old fart guard). There are no lists or requirements (other than the obvious, you must be an official card carrying Oath Keeper. There are no meetings, I just figure we’ll know each other when Oath Keepers are called out for service by the hobbling, limping, different devices used for assisted motivating, and of course the appearance one is graced with spending too many days in this most glorious of places on Earth, The United States Of America. How lucky can ya get? Since our A.O. varies greatly from person to person, our deeds are not great now, but money is probably the best form of support we can give. Most of us are not wealthy and have fixed income, but there is always (I’m talking now strictly of myself) a few bucks left over and if you believe in Oath Keepers like I do, there is the place to put it. This is, in my opinion, is the most important organization out there. To make people in uniform that take “the oath” understand it is not in support of a political leader nor an administration, but it is the most important document yet known to mankind, a form of life, I could go on and on, but we all know the mission, it is the boot on the ground that is the most important person. Who pulls the trigger and for what reason? Us old farts, keep doing what you can. Contribute in any way possible, and if the stuff really hits the fan, stop as many rounds as you can so that the real soldiers continue on. For the Republic, your Republic! Thank You!

  22. As someone who was debriefed about the Bundy situation this is a breath of fresh air. Even though I got the notice too late. Hopefully this will limit the amount of exposure our volunteers have to civilian ‘Generals’ with a Napoleon complex. The organization doesn’t need to lumped in with mindless mall ninjas living out their Red Dawn fantasies.

[Editor’s Note: Julian, thank you for a great comment. We appreciate it. Blessings,

  23. I received this message today ‘ Saturday 28 at 11.40 A.M. Central time .Why is that ??
Today I should have had all the answers of that conference ; so far I don`t have anything .

  24. Elias, No one has still answered the first question on the post as to why we didn’t get the emails notifying of the Board making a decision on support for Texas until this morning.. Sent: Sat 6/28/2014 1:58 AM. I realize with the number of notices you have to send it may take awhile. Well it’s now Saturday at 12:44 and the decision has still not been posted. Maybe Sunday?

[Editor’s Note: Thank you for your interest. I am preparing a synopsis to post today. The main decision we made last night is that we need more discussion on this. We only met for a couple of hours, and this topic requires more than just two hours of deliberation, as we learned while discussing the situation. Primarily, we learned that we need more discussion – so we have scheduled another conference call for Sunday evening. Further back up this thread is a post by the founder of the Three Percent movement, Mike Vanderboegh. I will be sending Mike’s missive to the Board for consideration in Sunday’s conference call.

  25. Why is my comment awaiting moderation ????? My comment will be here for ever ” awaiting moderation ”

[Editor’s Note: Rafael, I’ll confess that it’s a drag to have to wait to see one’s comment hit the page here, sometimes hours after being submitted. However, there are only three of us handling the website’s content – myself, Brandon Smith, and Shorty Dawkins. Comments come in at all hours of the day, and at times a comment might come in while all three of us are asleep or are traveling on missions or are tied up with other chores etc etc. While that is unfortunate, it is not uncommon. I comment quite often at other websites and see the same notice “Your comment is awaiting moderation“. It’s a human thing that one cannot be everywhere at the same time all the time. That’s what is behind your problem. Perhaps you’d like to volunteer to assist in culling out of the incoming stream of comments all the cursing, racial blurts, antagonistic interjections, illiterate ramblings, undignified screeds, bogus spams, provocaturial trickeries, efforts by SPLC et al to subvert conscious focus on our mission, and other ilk. Do you have a few hours to donate to Oath Keepers every day to help ensure that comments are posted immediately?
I’ll bet you don’t, and even if you did, I’d not trust you to handle the task because you’ve already shown that you have little or no patience, and lack the personal pride which would cause most good folks to be patient with this grassroots-founded organization. We’re doing the best we can do, Bro, while always looking for ways to improve. The other option is to just let all hell break loose on these comment threads and believe me it would if we were not culling and moderating incoming comments. Give us a little slack, eh? Thanks.

  26. “Texas State Guard. The Texas State Guard is a great example of a well-regulated and State-sanctioned militia,”

Elias, I beg the difference with you considering the Militia of the several states. The Texas State Guard may be called a “militia but it is NOT a militia BECAUSE it is a governmental body with allegiance to the Governor, not the people of the state. NO governmental or military body can be a Militia because a Militia IS the people themselves, though to cause confusion they are oft times called a “Militia. An organized Militia is where the people TRAIN to do their constitutionally REQUIRED duty when they are needed by people who are constitutional military or LEOS.

Other then that I agree it is Oathkeeper’s right to assist where they might feel needed and wanted. But, as a person who believes in OK (I did not say always agrees with as I am a contrary person), do NOT let familiarity be OK’s guide (as most are military and or LEO’s so will feel more comfortable with that type surrounding them which is normal and expected). Let God and your Oath guide you.

Just a suggestion and my feelings on this subject. As I said, I agree that the choice is OK’s, but be aware that the Texas State Guard is no more a Militia then the National Guard. I back up my comment that the Militia of the several states IS “We the people” and you can check with Vieira on that if you do not think I am correct.

TRAin the people so that you and they can be comfortable.

Where does it say in the US Constitution that Militia’s are “state sanctioned? A Militia is NOT, nor can it be a governmental body, it is the people of the state.

Each state’s Militia is made up of “We the People” protecting our own interests, homes, states, nation, and enforcing our governments. The Militia has as its constitutionally assigned duties to:
    – Enforce the US Constitution and each state’s Constitution,
    – Enforce and keep the “Laws of the Union” (which is constitutional laws ONLY),
    – Protect the country against all enemies both domestic and foreign, and
    – “to suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions”.

It does not say that here – Second Amendment: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

It says that a trained Militia is “necessary to the security of a free State”. Nor here: US Constitution, Article I, Section. 8, Clause 11: “To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water”. This is using private citizens in their own privately owned crafts to defend the USA and her people, this is using the Militia.

Or here: Clause 15: “To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel invasions.” This clause is very straightforward also. The Militia of each state is taxed with the defense of the USA and her people, not just with the defense of their state; and they are to be armed with weapons that can repel any invasions bearing modern weapons of war. The Governor of each state, the Sheriff of each state can call them out to defend that state.

    {This is why the Militia offers the best protection against rogue politicians and usurpation’s for those serving within the governments, “We the people” protect our own natural rights and hold accountable those we put into positions of power by enforcing the US Constitution and each state’s constitution. When everyone takes a part in guarding the security of the neighborhood, county, city, state that they live in; plus the country when needed, it basically stops or makes it very difficult for a small body of people to take over this nation. Edward Vieira, Junior “Constitutional Homeland Security” Volume 1, the Nation in Arms”}

Richard Henry Lee: “A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves …”

George Mason, Co-author of the Second Amendment: “I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people except for a few public officials. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”

Nor does it say it here: Clause 16: “To provide for organizing, ARMING, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress”.

It says that the state governs the “Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress”.

“It is always dangerous to the liberties of the people to have an army stationed among them, over which they have no control … The Militia is composed of FREE CITIZENS. There is therefore no danger of their making use of their Power to the destruction of their own Rights, or suffering others to invade them..” Samuel Adams (caps are mine)

Black’s Law Dictionary, 3rd Edition: The body of citizens in a state, enrolled for discipline as a military force, but not engaged in actual service except in emergencies, as distinguished from regular troops or a standing army.

Thomas Cooley: “The right is general. It may be supposed from the phraseology of this provision that the right to keep and bear arms was only guaranteed to the militia; but this would be an interpretation not warranted by the intent. The militia, as has been explained elsewhere, consists of those persons who, under the law, are liable to the performance of military duty, and are officered and enrolled for service when called upon. . . . If the right were limited to those enrolled, the purpose of the guarantee might be defeated altogether by the action or the neglect to act of the government it was meant to hold in check. The meaning of the provision undoubtedly is, that the people, from whom the militia must be taken, shall have the right to keep and bear arms, and they need no permission or regulation of law for that purpose”.

Samuel Adams: “Under every government the last resort of the people, is an appeal to the sword; whether to defend themselves against the open attacks of a foreign enemy, or to check the insidious encroachments of domestic foes.  Whenever a people … entrust the defence of their country to a regular, standing army, composed of mercenaries, the power of that country will remain under the direction of the most wealthy citizens.
And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press, or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; or to raise standing armies, unless necessary for the defense of the United States, or of some one or more of them; or to prevent the people from petitioning, in a peaceable and orderly manner, the federal legislature, for a redress of grievances; or to subject the people to unreasonable searches and seizures of their persons, papers or possessions”.

Tench Coxe: “Who are the militia? are they not ourselves. Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American…The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

And he also asserted that it’s the people with arms, who serve as the ultimate check on government: “As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people duly before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which must be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow-citizens, the people are confirmed by the next article in their right to keep and bear their private arms”.

Hamilton, Federalist 28: said “there exists a right of self-defense against a tyrannical government, and it includes the people with their own arms”. {A tyrannical government can also be a state government.)

Justice Story, Associate Justice, Supreme Court wrote: “The next amendment is: “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
The importance of this article will scarcely be doubted by any persons, who have duly reflected upon the subject. The militia is the natural defence of a free country against sudden foreign invasions, domestic insurrections, and domestic usurpations of power by rulers. It is against sound policy for a free people to keep up large military establishments and standing armies in time of peace, both from the enormous expenses, with which they are attended, and the facile means, which they afford to ambitious and unprincipled rulers, to subvert the government, or trample upon the rights of the people. The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them”.

James Madison: “… large and permanent military establishments … are forbidden by the principles of free government, and against the necessity of which the militia were meant to be a constitutional bulwark.”

Nunn vs. State:’The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.’ The right of the whole people, old and young, men, women and boys, and not militia only, to keep and bear arms of every description, and not such merely as are used by the milita, shall not be infringed, curtailed, or broken in upon, in the smallest degree; and all this for the important end to be attained: the rearing up and qualifying a well-regulated militia, so vitally necessary to the security of a free State. Our opinion is that any law, State or Federal, is repugnant to the Constitution, and void, which contravenes this right”.

Bliss v. Commonwealth: “Arms restrictions – even concealed weapons bans – are unconstitutional, since arms bearing is an individual right and the legislature may not restrict any aspect of such a right.”

Cockrum v. State: “The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the high powers delegated directly to the citizen, and is excepted out of the general powers of government. A law cannot be passed to infringe upon or impair it, because it is above the law, and independent of the lawmaking power”.

Thomas J. Jackson: “The patriot volunteer, fighting for country and his rights, makes the most reliable soldier on earth.”

Thomas Jefferson:“Every citizen should be a soldier. This was the case with the Greeks and Romans, and must be that of every free state.”

Richard Henry Lee: “The constitution ought to secure a genuine militia and guard against a select militia. …. all regulations tending to render this general militia useless and defenseless, by establishing select corps of militia, or distinct bodies of military men, not having permanent interests and attachments to the community ought to be avoided.”

James Madison: “An efficient militia is authorized and contemplated by the Constitution and required by the spirit and safety of free government.”

John Norton Pomeroy: “The object of this clause [the right of the people to keep and bear arms] is to secure a well-armed militia…. But a militia would be useless unless the citizens were enabled to exercise themselves in the use of warlike weapons. To preserve this privilege, and to secure to the people the ability to oppose themselves in military force against the usurpations of government, as well as against enemies from without, that government is forbidden by any law or proceeding to invade or destroy the right to keep and bear arms.”

State Gazette (Charleston): No free government was ever founded or ever preserved its liberty, without uniting the characters of the citizen and soldier in those destined for the defense of the state…. Such are a well regulated militia, composed of the  freeholders, citizen and husbandman, who take up arms to preserve their property, as individuals, and their rights as freemen.

George Washington: “A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies.”

God Bless and Stay Safe and Detention Free all!

  27. We always hear both sides of an issue when confronted with just about anything today.

We have the Hot and Heavy Go For It, the Moderate where well lets reach an agreement here to the Weak where one backs into a corner and says it could be worse (really?). What my point is that we as individuals most likely will look at a condition and not only describe the condition differently, but will also offer many varied ways to solve a problem.

My problem is me, I read “Orders We Will Not Obey” and inserted my interpretation of what is stated. I made the mistake of thinking that if I did not “Obey” that I would also “Defend” my position of rejecting one of the Principles so stated. Yet just today after reading the border thread and seeing the news, followed by what I assume the OK Position is; I failed to find anywhere what OK will do?

I guess we can be one-sided and reject orders and use the preface that the rejection is in keeping with the Constitution, fine with me, but is that it? It stops there?

  28. I served in the U.S. Navy 71-75, Blue Water In Country, I too will always Obey my Military Oath and NEVER fire on American Citizens. I believe something HAS to be done with the Illegal’s that are flooding this Country, not only is it sapping the Strength of America, but financially putting a Unneeded Burden on this Country Monetarily. I live in Oklahoma and will gladly make the trip to Texas if called upon. I understand most of these Illegals are seeking a better life, but in the Process they are making American Citizens lives more stressful and frankly draining our Countries Money. If the Govt. can’t seem to see fit to help the V.A. with a better budget I just don’t understand just how it seems fit to take care of People that aren’t even Citizens of this Country, let alone have NEVER fought for it. Not to mention the fact that just who knows exactly how many of these Illegals could be potential Terrorists, we HAVE to start guarding our Borders and stop the Influx of Illegals into this country by any means necessary lest WE the United States Citizens start losing OUR rights because of this Ridiculous Situation.

  29. Most important part is that I believe in OK, appreciate the hard work you all here do (considering I write very long comments), and I personally do not know if the Texas State Guard is constitutional or not (like CSPOA – some joined and are, some are not constitutional in the least bit).

[Editor’s Note: Cal, I did balk when I read your opening lines in your previous post on this thread. My take on Vieira’s work is that the People are in a condition of self-governance by virtue of their respective State Constitutions and the US Constitution, and their State and County and even Local governments are voted into office by the People, so therefore the People own the State and lower governments, as the US Constitution protects their rights to so own and so self-govern. That would make the Texas State Guard a true and Constitutional militia, as opposed to the Texas National Guard, which is subject to not only the Governor but also is subject to the President and/or Congress of the USA, which may “call forth the militia” to do the three functions you stated.

    {Editing in yet more. I’ve just learned that the Texas State Guard is an unarmed Guard, so you may be right after all – if they are not armed, they cannot be classified as a Constitutional Militia! I’ll look further into that and get back with you. Thanks!}

And Cal, since you noted your verbosity-in-words (which is of course my biggest problem too, lol!), allow me to thank you on behalf of Oath Keepers, this website, and myself personally – for all the great posts you’ve blessed us with. I love your posts, and am thankful that you continue to share your vision with us here. Stick around, eh? Keep ’em coming. Thanks Friend,

  30. Re: your response to my earlier post.
That’s good news considering this is not something to take lightly. No matter how much we would like to go to the border personally and turn back the invaders, we as the Oath Keepers Organization are not a militia, and as far as I know, have no to plans to become one.

Stewart just made the statement earlier on the Hagmann and Hagmann show that “I will never put my people under anyone elses command ever again”. which I agree with whole heartedly. I believe we should be working on logistics for other groups that can constitutionally and legally be there to support of stopping the illegal invasion of our country. We might mobilize a phone blitz, putting pressure on our elected public servants and legislators to convince our Commander in Chief and our Department of Justice do their jobs and protect our country!

A sincere Thank You for your never ending support Elias!

  31. Um… Just FYI, the Texas State Guard is NOT a true militia.

    They are disarmed.

They are not allowed to train with weapons.

They must undergo Department of Homeland Security (federal) training.

And because of Rick Perry, they serve ONLY has a disarmed and glorified support element of the FEDERAL MILITIA aka The Texas Army National Guard.

He was the world’s foremost expert on the internal guidance systems of ICBM’s and shipboard anti missile systems. He had a Q clearance (Above Top Secret) and had a duel career as an electrical engineer at Bell Labs where he was a defense contractor, and as a Captain in US Naval Intelligence. He is one of the reasons the Russians never launched on us. I had SEAL training as a kid growing up under his roof. He instilled in me a deep love of the Constitution.

  34. I appreciate the caution but time’s a wastin’ and the clock’s a tickin’. If the Oath Keepers are to be of useful service, we should be packing and moving.

  35. I would like to add, the logistics for any operation along the US Border, are difficult at best. The Manpower needed to protect hundreds of miles of Border, without a barrier(Structure) is nearly impossible Mission, with available Federal,State and County Manpower. The Air assets Available, are only as good as the necessary force on the ground.

  36. I am disheartened that we Oath Keepers and Supporters ( I gave you and the Bundy Family hard earned cash)are being told to Stand Down and not support stopping the Invasion in South Texas. As a Nam Veteran and Minister I walk a fine line. One foot on the Alter and one foot in the gutter.
I am also still young enough to make a difference on the front line. The Texas State Guard is an unarmed group who was brought about to fight against “public Insurrection” I do not trust or believe in their organization.

  37. I see my comment is in moderation which I understand. However if Oath Keepers is not going to Stand Up and take a leading role in this invasion I will not send you money in the future. My 2 cents

  38. I am thankful that we are discussing how to address this problem as it isn’t as easy as running to the border and placing a ‘do not enter’ sign. The Feds have opted to leave the border open, and I am not referring to our brave Border Patrol agents, but rather this limp Administration. We are being assaulted from within, which leaves us vulnerable to those from without. A bad situation getting worse and we must remain vigilant and unified. God Bless us all.

  39. Elias I love and appreciate you, stand strong brother.
Personal opinion……My bags are packed, no vacation time left, work brass will not understand. I’m there, we have to MAKE A STAND, stand up, face the music. Again as I did at the Bundy ranch……..I call ALL my fellow law enforcement brother’s and sister’s to join and stand together. Work together for the common good of this great Nation that we love. 1,850 miles and 30 hours later I can be there, can I get a weekly shower and a baloney sandwich? Hope to see you soon

  40. The gov’t or it’s arm has water stands on borders written in Spanish and Chinese assisting them in the trip, saw it in an interview. Texans are now planning a human chain. Well some of the people in the chain may not know these cartel as using machetes on people and uploading on the internet like the middle east. A woman in TX about 3 years ago was stabbed to death in front of a convenience store because she tried to stop one of them from taking her car with her kid in it, happened in Houston eastside.

  41. i am an Oathkeeper,i have 2 daughters in their first year in college in Texas..that makes me worry about my 19 year old daughters….if any of you have children you fully understand…..i just retired from the Military after 22 years……the “politics” of protecting our border should NOT be the deciding factor on whether we act or not…the fact that our border is being INTENTIONALLY overrun is reason enough to,as an American go down to the border and PROTECT IT. ALL Countries have immigration laws and some of them including Mexicos are rather severe…..the fact that our own govt is not protecting our border and encouraging this mass exodus in the United States should rally EVERY single American…..i am ready to go when needed….i SALUTE all of you….

  42. Oathkeepers is one of the true Patriot organisations that i trust to help our LEO and state orgs down at the border. I trust your judgment and leadership, otherwise I never would have joined. As i totally believe in and obey the 10 rules and the mission statement. USN and Nam Veteran ‘69%’70

  43. @ ObsidianRazor, “The Feds have opted to leave the border open, and I am not referring to our brave Border Patrol agents, but rather this limp Administration.”

The mistake in this sentence is that you believe the feds hyperbole (okay, lies) that they control our borders. That is NOT a power/duty given to them. Those serving within the federal government ONLY control what it takes for those LEGAL immigrants the states allow in need to do to become US Citizens.

US Constitution, ARTICLE 1, Section 8 “The Congress shall have power,”
… Clause 4: To ESTABLISH AN UNIFORM RULE OF NATURALIZATION, and uniform laws on the subject of bankruptcies throughout the United States…

That is the ONLY power those serving within the federal government was given. It is made clear that the power over state borders belongs to the states here:
SECTION 9. 1. The migration or importation of such persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit,…

This is a power, duty (re: immigration to our nation) that belongs to the states. The STATES make the decisions about their borders, and ANY feds that work against that are TRAITORS to the USA and quite possible making war on that state.

  44. Speaking for myself, I would rather wait an additional few hours to hear a reasoned, rational response than wade through a dozen rapid-fire reactions. Thank you, Elias and the other moderators, for your patience! I moderate a Facebook page and fully understand the brushfires that constantly need putting out. Our fight to be taken seriously by the public and potential Oath Keepers seems to be never-ending! However, I feel that this group has the potential to be the “deal-breaker” in the assault on our liberties, and destruction of what I think of as the greatest country on earth. Hang in there, ladies and gents.

  45. Msgt. Rick Martin….I couldn’t agree with you more.

Next year marks the 50th anniversary of my American citizenship and I’ve never taken it for granted. I got my citizenship the right way and went through all the necessary procedures before I finally was granted citizenship. I love America so much I can’t imagine doing anything that would bring insult to this country or even any of the people and friends that welcomed me when I first arrived over here from England.
A long time ago I took a job at a museum … which was the site of an original 1700’s settlement…. so I learned a lot about what the early settlers went through in what was then mostly a wilderness area. It gave me a tremendous amount of admiration for those pioneers and the hardships they suffered and the war for freedom they fought, yet they never considered giving up. So I take it as an insult for illegals to just cross our borders without as much as a ‘by-your-leave’ and think that they don’t need to follow protocol to enter. Doesn’t every other country require a person to request permission to enter the country before they’re allowed in….I think we know the answer to that, so it speaks volumes of how little respect or regard illegals really have for this country when they think they can just cross the border at will and ignore our laws. I don’t think they’d make very good citizens under such circumstances!
On a different note: I have very high regard and admiration for the OK and their dedication to stand up and be willing to do whatever is necessary to save America. God bless all of you Oath Keepers and I will say a special prayer for you for God’s guidance in this seemingly never ending period of adversity in our country.

  46. I support any effort by Oath Keepers to support the Texas Militia. If the federal government refuses to enforce the law, the states have an inherent right to protect themselves.

  47. TREASON.
Impeach and ARREST the DC Traitors that are allowing this MEXICAN INVASION.
TREASON. Impeach and ARREST the politicians.
    Secure the border.
    Haven’t you had enough?
What will it take for you people to STAND?

  48. Greetings to all my fellows! While it is indeed well to resolutely discuss the options on this matter and weigh in the factors that directly affect the goal, I’d like to intelligently insert some remote factors that I feel should be considered in both the R.O.E. involving the illegal migration – especially that which involves the children – as well as bring attention to a possible broader underlying motive that both the United States gov. and that of Mexico are involved in that may exist in an effort to begin a hot war at the border to usher in new legislation involving a North American Union… yes, I’m talking about the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (

Before I go on however I must say that it was indeed a privilege to hear from you, Mike Vanderboegh, here on the Oath Keeper’s website. As both a member of the Three Percent here in Nevada as well as member of the Oath Keepers, seeing these two patriot organizations working hand in hand with American affairs brings me great gladness. I witnessed the troubles at the Bundy Ranch and read the news reports that purported a schism that developed between the two however it wasn’t anyone’s fault EXCEPT that of the OPSEC working hard to make that schism happen – which, once that disinfo was disseminated logistics and operational functionality between the two in support of Bundy were reestablished. I view events like the Bundy Ranch, New Mexico, Utah, Northern Nevada, and now Texas as the people’s training excercizes that will get the American people in order …hopefully by the time that order is direly needed.

Now, my first subject of ponderance begins with some questions: does anyone here have any clue as to why the American Government transported and delivered 50 thousand assault rifles to the Mexican Zetas cartel, A.K.A. Operation Gun Runner/ Fast and Furious via the ATF? Haven’t we watched all of the congressional inquiry efforts made by Senators Trey Gowdy and Darrell Issa into this matter absolutely interfered with by white house refusals to cooperate? Within the last three years have we not seen three incidents involving Mexican military incursions onto American soil, one of which became an armed stand off between U.S. Border Agents and those Mexican Military personnel that lasted for twenty minutes, and the most recent involving a Mexican military VTOL that crossed over into American air space and actually opened fire onto Border Patrol agents? A couple of years ago, when Arizona passed it’s tight immigration reforms, didn’t we witness the president of Mexico blatantly disrespect and dishonor the Governor of Arizona WHILE STANDING ON THE WHITE HOUSE LAWN, with “president” Obama applauding his comments? When we witnessed the surge of Mexican protesters that were protesting that same legislative act did we not witness thousands of professed illegal Mexican protesters marching on American soil ILLEGALLY making statements to reporters covering those events such as,” F**K Americans, we do what we want!”,”We’re going to take it all away from you, because it was ours first!”,” I’ll Kill Americans!”? And finally, have we not witnessed a dramatic surge these past few years of MUSLIM immigrants illegally cross the border into America by the tens of thousands, from Mexico, unhindered by Mexico, with many of them being found in Muslim operated military training facilities run by such organizations as Ul-Fuqra and Al-Queda?

The entire line of reasoning behind this battery of questions is to try to show a pattern that appears intelligently to be a series of actions that have been taken in preparation of the initiation of a border war financed, planned, and initiated by both the American and Mexican governments that would serve an initial purpose IMHO of afterwards opening the established S.P.P. negotiations up and made into law as well as bring about a much needed decimation of American patriots ready and willing to pull the trigger when the defense of our constitution is concerned that would then usher in the more broader effects of governance under the United Nations and it’s agenda 21 initiatives.

Food for thought ladies and gentlemen. We MUST remain aware of this, and the ace up Obama’s sleeve he thinks we are ignorant of, which is the army of muslim militants he has shipped to our shores quietly, set them up into high places of government, placed them into military training combined out in the middle of timbuktoo for future armed operations – AGAINST WHOM I CAN NOT SAY – and has assisted in setting thier political organizations up in protest against established American institutions and even the very core of some of our long held values. Now that there is a Constitutional Convention in the works, and a newly established MUSLIM POLITICAL PARTY… how many here can see which direction that is going to take, especially if Sharia law is even attempted to alter the freedoms our constitutional law gives us?

The secondary aspect I’d now like to provide some input into regarding the operations going on on the other side of the border and against Texas (as well as New Mexico, Arizona, and California) is in regards this BIG sorry sob story display of immigrant children from Mexico, and it’s attempt at suckering the soft bellied fur ball Americans who sucked it up and owned it. Allow me to share something for those who have a face book account to think really hard and seriously about:

The article my face book satire references states that over 1000 minors have been killed and many of them brutally at that, in the four years the mexican government and the drug cartels have supposedly been at war with eachother til 2011. God only knows how many have been killed from them to now but it’s not as relevent as understanding the reasons behind these deaths. The article that the above article referenced tells an even broader story:

“According to the report, Mexico has “not undertaken measures to prevent the recruitment of children by non-state groups,” including paramilitary groups, organized crime groups and security companies.

Separately, the panel said it is worried that children who study at military schools are given military status and therefore subject to the Military Code of Justice if they break the law.

It also cited reports about the use of children at military schools in the fight against drug trafficking, “which seriously jeopardized the rights and lives of children.”

What this should tell everyone here, is that both the Mexican government as well as the Mexican drug cartels all have the propensity to utilize children in an attempt to seek a weakness of the heart to create actions that would allow them an in road to a successful end of their given goal. Many of us who have fought in foreign wars know all too well the propensity of a desperate enemy to seek out all forms of weakness to achieve an in road towards a means to their end.

Let’s look at this now with a fresh perspective towards Texas, and migration from Mexico:

“The numbers of children surging over the southern US border now – unaccompanied, as young as six – is just staggering. Forty thousand-plus since October. Up 90 percent. Still growing, flooding in. Coming up from Central America, Mexico. Coming a thousand miles and more from Honduras. Scared north by vicious gangs. Terrorized along the way. And now, piling up in US facilities not designed for an influx of kids. This hour On Point: the new flood of child migrants at the US border”

As anyone who has been watching knows, I can safely state that every one of those poor immigrant children have had their brains bloated with pro Mexico indoctorination and most likely will not hesitate to act on Mexico’s behalf against the American People if an effort to “take back what is theirs” is made by Mexico. Look at the brain washed illegal protesters who you’d think were happy to be in America who said the things they said. My point proven hands down.

That being said, IMHO we are facing a crisis that has been engineered from the start to be a no win situation for the American People, that inevitably is going to pit both the American government (indirectly) as well as invading forces from Mexico against us from two fronts. Any decision made to support Texas should consider these things and understand that planning for these possibilities should also be made so that in the end, the American people can win.

FINALLY… I just wanted to add a piece of information given to me recently by Mike Shrum, a commander within the Texas 28th, a militia: IF any organized militia or militarily functional organization wishes to operate within the State of Texas they must first seek the approval from the governor of Texas. If you are an individual, then making contact with a state endorsed militia or military function seeking approval to join them. According to the constitution of the State of Texas, any standing organization that is armed and that begins operations upon Texan soil can be viewed with prejudice as a hostile invading incursion and can be met with lethal force. Now I’m not saying to you that that is what is going to happen, however it would be wise for any organization wishing to support Texas that isn’t confirmed officially as in support of Texas to seek Texan authority to proceed first. This will prevent a whole lot of canned worms from appearing in your potato patch in the morning.

God Bless you all brother’s and sisters!

  49. Just wondering if I missed the email regarding the outcome of the meeting on the 27th.

[Editor’s Note: Jeff, you did not miss it – I did not send it yet. Am working it up today and hope to get it into the mail later tonight. It will be worth the wait, I will apologize for being far behind in my work here. I’m swamped!

  50. Elias,

You, Sir, are an inspiration to me. My OK group (some of them) are chopping at the bit on this border thing. Cool heads prevailed at Bunkerville (thank God)even with all our mistakes. You and our BoD remain in my prayers for good rest and wisdom. You are doing a terrific job!

[Editor’s Note: Brian, thank you for the healing sentiments. I appreciate it, and so does Oath Keepers. I am hopelessly over-tasked, swamped, with too many bases to cover at the same time, but am working up a good article to cover last night’s Board conference call on the subject of the Fedgov-sponsored border invasion. I truly appreciate all readers who grant me a bit of patience as I and the Board continue to assimilate our abundance of intel and info to share with all members.
    Keep the faith, Bro!

  51. Why the REFUSAL to face reality?
These are not just a few people seeking a better life
that just happen to hop over the river for opportunity.
This is a MEXICAN INVASION. Orchestrated by Obummer.
Obamunist Attorney General, Eric Holder ARMED 50,000 drug gang members.
NOW ARMED Mexican gang and CHINESE SOLDIERS are flooding the “change” Amerika.
These are the troops to cause chaos to justify MARTIAL LAW ….and WORSE.

Why can’t people see the obvious?

This Invasion did not just happen. IT IS INTENTIONAL.

TREASON by a sitting delusional, mentally unfit, anti American president.
Never in my life have I felt so strongly. Never have I wanted a president IMPEACHED.
Not Nixon. Not bubba Clinton. They screwed up but things happen.
Obummer is a DANGER to National Security, American Stability, World Peace.

  52. Elias,

How can I help? I am a busy Vietnam vet running my tiny farm full time, and leading my local 3 county OK group. It occurs to me the old 80/20 rule is still in effect: “80% of the work is accomplished by 20%.

Crap, I suppose I am in the 20%, but a slacker in that you are swamped and I can still take a nap when I want to.

So, how can you use me? I’m not sure myself, but I have a willing heart and a supportive wife. I’m a reasonably decent speaker, I edited all my wife’s many papers up through her Doctorate in education, and I believe I have a good handle on OK: Mahatma Gandhi with a rifle in my truck :).

My State coordinators can help you vet me (Jeff Ford and Tom McKirgan). My number is [Deleted by Elias Alias, editor]

    Mucho thanks, Brother.

  53. I live in northern AL and am looking for solid militia group to form a mutually beneficial relationship. I am not a joiner anymore, my priorities lie in protecting my family and assisting close friends. I stood watch over America for 14 years and am done with protecting other’s interests. If you would be kind enough to email me contact information to a local respected militia organization I would appreciate it. Best of luck & regards- Mav

  54. I am also a Vietnam vet and had the opportunity several years ago to spend some time working in southern AZ. While there I joined an organization called “Minutemen”. They are since disbanded, but when we were viable, we were standing watches on the southern border, in observation posts where we would report to our base any suspicious activity in our area. Base would notify the Border Patrol and, as long as we had visual contact, we could watch them come in and apprehend the intruders. We were also involved in getting several miles of fence built outside of Naco, AZ. As I said, the organization has disbanded, but the idea is still viable and practical. On the TX. border the enemy has scouts and spotters of there own which makes the job easier. The spotters won’t send contraband across if they know we are there. Problem averted. Lets get together and stop this flood.

  55. We are already seeing the signs of looking like a 3rd world. Yesterday outside of Atlanta I pulled into a large upscale shopping center to see if America is posted to view today, while turning into the parking lot a whole family of about six in the shade with young dad holding a sign I didn’t read as I noticed the babies from infant to about age four sitting on the grass in shade eating snacks. Also in Texas for years the guys line the interstate entrances all day, maybe looking for work. The police didn’t bother with them either from 2006 that I can note.

  56. As most all now realize, the Bundy ranch ordeal was chock full of mistakes from both the OK’s and the civilian militia’s present. I totally agree that the main problem was not having a true military commander from the OK’s or civilian’s side on site to direct proper protocol from potential disasters from muzzle control safety to defensive strategy.

We can all agree that there is a true history of death and destruction by the people being silent when oppression’s become progressive. Examples are many: Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. The Bundy ranch situation was a possible initial statement to the oppressor’s that the people may not so easily fall victim to the grave history specified above. It is understood that the OK’s are somewhat gun shy after such a disaster to the organization which resulted in my outright founding member resignation however, I still believe in the mission and the core membership and if what I contribute on a rare but extremely important matter as this helps in any way, it’s what it’s all about for the brothers and sisters of our confederation.

Sitting back and wishing things will get better without organized, professional, and peaceful intention-ed boots on the ground action against such matters can and will result in the eventual demise of our people to the progressive, lightening fast oppression we are experiencing now and have been for years.

the drone report. I was at breakfast the next morning at 6AM w Jerry and felt
no animosity toward us Oath keepers. Hope we can all get focused ON real issues ,
