Our Last Line Of Defense Against Tyranny Is Being Attacked!

veterans march

This article was written by Susan Duclos and originally published at Wake Up America

When did our returning veterans become a “threat” to local, state and federal law enforcement, so much so that they are specifically highlighted by local authorities?

In a chilling story entitled Armed for War: Pentagon surplus gives local police an edge, we learn how a Mine Resistant Vehicle (MRAP) which was once used during the occupation of Afghanistan will now be “patrolling the streets of central Indiana,” according to the report.

Sgt. Dan Downing of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department states, “When I first started we really didn’t have the violence that we see today,” adding, “The weaponry is totally different now that it was in the beginning of my career, plus, you have a lot of people who are coming out of the military that have the ability and knowledge to build IEDs and to defeat law enforcement techniques.” (Source)

Downing is admitting that the local police are specifically citing returning veterans as a partial reason for the militarization of local police around the country and the need for battlefield equipment to be on the streets of America.

An April 2009 DHS intelligence assessment listed returning vets as likely domestic terrorists. Just a month later, the New York Times reported on how Boy Scout Explorers were being trained by the DHS to kill “disgruntled Iraq war veterans” in terrorist drills.

The FBI has also repeatedly characterized returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan as a major domestic terrorist threat.

DHS, FBI, local authorities, are all attempting to portray returning war veterans as “dangerous” to Americans and to the US, yet these are the very people that put their lives on the line when they joined the military, willing to sacrifice their lives to defend America and protect the citizens of the United States of America.

Below is the most likely reason that there is a concentrated, organized and strategic effort to cast veterans as a “domestic terrorist threat.”

The wordings of the current oath of enlistment and oath for commissioned officers are as follows:

“I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.” (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).

“I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.” (DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)

Constitutional rights are being violated by the US government at every turn, from the right to free speech, freedom of religion and free press, to the right to bear arms, to the Fourth Amentment, which states “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Examples are shown every day of these and other constitutional rights being violated by our very own government. Rights that veterans, while serving, swore to defend, and the majority will continue to defend to their dying day, whether still serving or not.

This does not make them terrorist threats, but rather our last line of defense against a tyrannical dictatorship. Fully trained in combat, knowledgeable of how to overcome the enemy and sworn to defend the constitution from enemies both foreign AND domestic.

In a nutshell, that is why the US government, with full complicity by the mainstream media, are attempting to disarm veterans, and convince the general public they are dangerous to America.

They are dangerous, not to citizens, but to a regime being run more like a dictatorship and that is why they have become public enemy number one in the eyes of the US federal government.

The government is attacking veterans because the Feds are preparing for insurrection and a possible revolution against the tyranny being evidenced on a daily and weekly basis by the government unchecked by Congress, and who better to take out of the battle than those that could defeat the tyrants and fight for our liberties and win?

  1. Well I thank God that our current vets know who the real enemy is and when the time comes they will act accordingly. I must admit I was worried about the young war fighters being dumbed down, but now I am assure that they now know who the true enemy isl

  2. If this does not send chills down your spine nothing will. The very men and women willing to give their lives for our freedom are now nothing but possible terrorist. Amazing!!!

  3. Sheriffs that talk about returning vets and knowledge of IEDs… Can anyone site an example of an IED being deployed against a sheriff in the US since the start of the Iraq war? I mean, if thats why they need MRAPs it must be happening right?

  4. As a boy who has taken the oath of service, I would stand my ground against a veteran in a combat situation, but I must admit it’s getting to the point of being straight-up ridiculous. I don’t want any guns pulled on anybody for the government being stupid but they really are asking for it from the people with a low tolerance for BS. To the point where even higher-tolerance people, like what I believe myself to be, are shaking their heads.
This is one of those times where I shake my head.

  5. Our rights are not Constitutional rights. They’re God given rights which are recognized by our Constitution. Big difference. The U.S. Constitution cannot give us rights that we already had. If our government decides to throw away our Bill of Rights, we STILL have a God / natural (for all the atheists) given right to own guns to protect ourselves. I have said this before on your page, because some idiot stated “our constitutional rights”. If I have to do it again, I’m gonna be ready to slap a few heads. So, get it through your thick skulls…or, else….

  6. We have domestic terrorist in this country, unfortunately most are drawing a Federal paycheck, they took an oath to protect and defend the constitution they are working to destroy.

  7. Bill I ask my self this all the time I saw a news thing today and they said that the heat sink that is in front of mrap was to knock doors down hahaha we all know what there tryn to get the guts up to do don’t we

  8. As A vet I will aid ANY VET that I can find in need. I do not agree with the militarizing of law enforcement because it’s NOT THEIR JOB. Pursuing criminals and serving warrants is their job and if they are to afraid to do that without heavy weapons maybe they should find A new job. Our returning vet’s wouldn’t have A problem doing their job with traditional equipment. You don’t have to be A war vet to get around the police and their new toy’s Trust me it aint that hard. They can’t do much till they get outside of their cars

  9. If us veterans were to get organized, there are almost 22 million of us. I would say as a high conservative number, law enforcement and federal agencies maybe 250,000. Can you see the outcome?

  10. “Constitutional rights are being violated by the US government at every turn, from the right to free speech, freedom of religion and free press, to the right to bear arms, to the Fourth Amentment, which states “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

These are Natural Rights, PROTECTED by the US Constitution. The Bill of Rights FORBIDS the federal or state governments to mess in ANY way with those rights. The Preamble to the Bill of Rights makes it very clear that the BoR puts LIMITS upon those who serve within the governments.

Preamble to the Bill of Rights: “Congress of the United States begun and held at the City of New-York, on Wednesday the fourth of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine.
THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and RESTRICTIVE CLAUSES clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution…” (caps are mine).

James Madison: “That all power is originally vested in, and consequently derived from the people. That government is instituted and ought to be exercised for the benefit of the people; which consists in the enjoyment of life and liberty and the right of acquiring property, and generally of pursing and obtaining happiness and safety. That the people have an indubitable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to reform or change their government whenever it be found adverse or inadequate to the purpose of its institution.”

Thomas Jefferson: “The government created by this compact (the Constitution) was not made the exclusive or final judge of the extent of the powers delegated to itself; since that would have made its discretion, and not the Constitution, the measure of its powers; but that, as in all other cases of compact among powers having no common judge, each party (the people of each state) has an equal right to judge for itself, as well of infractions as of the mode and measure of redress.”

Alexander Hamilton: “Every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid.”

James Madison: “The ultimate authority resides in the people, and that if the federal government got too powerful and overstepped its authority, then the people would develop plans of resistance and resort to arms.”

James Madison Fed 57: wrote that Congress “can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of the society.”

Madison, Fed 39: “Each State, in ratifying the Constitution, is considered as a sovereign body, independent of all others, and only to be bound by its own voluntary act. In this relation, then, the new Constitution will, if established, be a FEDERAL, and not a NATIONAL constitution.”

Alexander Hamilton: “Until the people have, by some solemn and authoritative act, annulled or changed the established form, it is binding upon themselves collectively, as well as individually; and no presumption, or even knowledge, of their sentiments, can warrant their representatives in a departure from it, prior to such an act.”

What is being done to the veterans is because those serving within the federal government know that the actions they have been taking are criminal and treasonous. That vets are from families here and can teach or train them to assist in ENFORCING THE US CONSTITUTION and all state
Constitutions as is required by the US Constitution of the people as the Militia.

The “military” weapons being given to the governmental professional law enforcement agencies is against the US Constitution, our supreme law of this land. They are to go to teach state’s Militia.

Second Amendment: “A WELL REGULATED MILITIA, BEING NECESSARY TO THE SECURITY OF A FREE STATE, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” (caps mine).

US Constitution, Article I, Section. 8, Clause 11: “To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water”.

The congress has the duty to grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal when they are needed to enforce the US Constitution, the laws, or defend the people and the nation. This is using private citizens in their own privately owned crafts to defend the USA and her people, this is using the Militia.

Clause 12 specifies that there shall be no military beyond that of two years. The Militia of each state is charged with our nations defense here within the USA until and unless the congress has declared war and a “standing” military is raised:

“To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years”.

The money that the congress has illegally spent beyond the lawfully allowed time of two years for the support of a “standing military” was/and still is a misappropriation of funds – the intentional, illegal use of the property or funds of another person for one’s own use or other unauthorized purpose, particularly by a public official…, a felony, a crime against the American people.

There can lawfully be no (NO!) standing army except in times of war, and ONLY the congress can lawfully declare war under the contract they get their duties and powers from.

*War must be declared by congress in order to be a lawful war that our US military are used to fight in, it must be in defense of our nation ONLY which is why so many lies were used as excuses to get us into wars. Since they were not, and are not, lawfully declared wars, ALL who died on all sides make that mass murder, etc that those who serve within our government had a hand in and MUST be fully prosecuted for. War cannot lawfully be “declared” against a tactic such as the “war against terror” or the “war against drugs”; both are not wars and not even the congress can declare a war against a tactic.

*War defined: ‘Open and declared conflict between the armed forces of two or more states or nations’.

Clause 12 was put in as a lawfully assigned duty of congress because, as James Madison, the Father of the US Constitution warned: “No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare”.

Rep. Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts, floor debate over the 2nd Amendment, I Annals of Congress: “What, Sir, is the use of a militia? It is to PREVENT THE ESTABLISMENT OF A STANDING ARMY, the bane of liberty….”

Clause 15: “To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel invasions.

This clause is very straightforward also. The militia of each state is taxed with the defense of the USA and her people, not just with the defense of their state; and they are to be armed with weapons that can repel any invasions bearing modern weapons of war. Congress is required to provide those military grade weapons for the militias. The “suppress Insurrections” includes those who are our representatives who are working against the USA and her people.

Clause 16 makes it very clear that the ARMING OF THE MILITIA OF EACH STATE is a LAWFUL duty assigned to the congress that they are REQUIRED to carry out:

Clause 16: “To provide for organizing, ARMING, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress”.

Those belong to the Militia’s of each state so that they can train on them, protect their towns, cities, counties, states, and the USA from attack by domestic or foreign enemies. That is why this is not being done, and it is WHY the vets are under attack – they can train us in how to defend out states and nations and to ENFORCE THE US CONSTITUTION and each state’s Constitution – the highest law of our land and of each state except where they conflict.

  11. Correction: “The “military” weapons being given to the governmental professional law enforcement agencies is against the US Constitution, our supreme law of this land. They are to go to teach state’s Militia.”

The “military” weapons being given to the governmental professional law enforcement agencies is against the US Constitution, our supreme law of this land. They are to go to EACH state’s Militia.

  12. When are the LEO’s that are following their orders going to realize what they are doing? Are these guys so full of themselves or what? Don’t they think for one minute that eventually it’s going to effect everyone including possible family members. Apparently in most of these instances they are NOT being told the whole story. They are being told that the person or persons they are to arrest are the bad guys, no matter if it’s an ordinary citizen or a vet. I guess the younger generations only view of vet are the ones that Hollywood puts out about Vietnam vets. I personally never served but knew quite a few friends who were returning vets and they weren’t like Hollywood portrayed. Were they affected by the war? Who the hell wouldn’t be! But terrorists! Not hardly! I think what’s going on here is exactly as another poster said. They are afraid of the people who took the oath! The only way for the gov. to try to neutralize that fact is to start a disinformation about them aided by the MSM. Bless al you vets! I’ll stand with you guys any day.

  13. This has always been a very sore spot with Me and My family, How DARE these Traitors try to suggest that Vets are Terrorist and Yet they are the ones Hell Bent on the destruction of this Republic!!I spit in their Faces and I rue the Day they stepped up to the Levers of Power..My father would be spinning in his Grave if he Saw the Condition of this Country which he sacrificed 12 years of Life for, and my Brother a Marine that never Saw his Second Daughter, and my Other Brother a 100% disabled Marine Vet, and My daughters that Serve with Honor as Officers today! I”am ashamed of these Traitors and Refuse to call them My Countrymen….

    Semper Fi

  14. Amen to all of you. I am one of the 22 million. We don’t have the organization that ‘they’ have. ‘They’ can push a button and have 20 more of ‘their’ kind show up. But we have the heart felt love of principles. I talk to many people on a daily basis and it is obvious, even people that seem to know nothing, if you bring up the subject of our government, ALL agree…. it is time to throw the lot of them out!!!
For those of us who are comfortable with guns, let us be the leaders. We who know war will never instigate, but we WILL RETALIATE with the Righteousness of Principles that this nation was founded on.
Join OK’s, GOA, or ANY organization that is ready and willing to speak out, stand up, and reclaim that which is ours.

  15. I believe that the Obama Administration and many in Congress are actively trying to destroy the US Armed Forces from within in order to “fundamentally change” the country. Most recently is the quest to enlist illegal aliens. If an illegal alien receives an unlawful order from a superior, how will he or she know that they are violating the oath to support and defend the Constitution?
