Many states are watching the outcome of this propose Massachusetts bill to see if it passes the House. This bill is the most egregious piece of legislation that violates just about every one of our constitutional rights that I have ever read.

As to the “range of other activists,” the report primarily focuses its ire on the Oath Keepers, an association of military members, veterans, law enforcement officers, and firefighters who reaffirm the oath they took to support and defend the Constitution. If the Constitution is the basis of our government, how does swearing an oath to the Constitution and pledging not to follow unconstitutional orders make one “anti-government?”

When I went down to MEPS and swore in, at the time I didn’t have a full understanding of what exactly I swore to do and not to do. Although I didn’t realize the full implications of the oath at the time I did still get chills in my spine and the adrenaline going as spoke those words.

The SPLC is at it again in their quarterly publication the “Intelligence Report”. The publication is loaded with untrue statements and provides absolutely no facts to back up any of there claims, especially regarding Oath Keepers. Not once has the SPLC made an attempt to contact anyone from Oath Keepers to get information. Instead they have decided to act as yellow journalists and put pure lies and propaganda out as facts.

“Our goal,” he said, “is to support and defend the Constitution, and that’s where it begins and ends at. . . . We’re not a hate group. We’re not a racist group. We’re not calling for armed revolt against the government.”
