I enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 in 1968. I swore to the oath, to uphold the U.S. Constitution and defend our country from enemies from outside or within. I served in the 11th Armored Cavalry Aero Rifle Platoon in 1969-’70 in Vietnam.
