I took my oath in 1969. I stood by that for 21 years in the USAF. Now, as a civilian, I see that perhaps we uniformed types are the only ones who seem to understand what it means to take an oath.
I served in the military all but the last five years of my adult life. I started my career in Jan 1983 and retired in Aug 2004. In that time, I served four different presidents and saw a lot of changes to DOD policy both good and bad.
I have been in the Army for over ten years. I have increasingly felt the growing restraint on our ability to defend the Republic. The restraint is imposed through politically correct regulations and ROE(Rules of Engagement).
As a VietVet I respond with much patriotism to my oath to the U.S.Constitution. It is my duty to honor this oath, to do all that I can to protect this country from its enemies
I am truly a Pro Constitutional Patriot. I love my country and I am fortunate to have grown up under a Free Republic. I served during the Vietnam Crises in the US Army as a Military Policeman and later as an Explosive Ordinance Technician.
I first took the oath 30November1977 it was my 17th birthday at the Armed Forces Enlistment Station Dallas, Texas. I proudly went on to serve the next 4 years in the US NAVY and was separated from active duty 11December1981
I joined the Army in April,1969.At the induction center on Lankershiem Blvd in Los Angeles Calif, on my 17th birthday. I took the Oath to MY Constitution to defend MY country against ALL enemies, foreign AND domestic.
I am not or have I ever been in the military nor law enforcement…however…I am truly an American citizen who has always believed in what our country stands for, what our founders intended
I took my oath on 16 October 1966 and I will defend this great country, ordained by God, and it’s Constitution until I die. At the very least, there are people in public office today who are misguided about what our country stands for.
I have served from 9/1961 thru 8/99 serving in Navy, Coast Guard and Army Guard, broken dates. I have taken the Oath in each. I am now an Oath Keeper and believe in what the group stands
When I joined the military, my first order I received was “to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America”. This I’m sure sounds familiar to many of you out there.
I remember when I was asked to take that step forward.As young as I was, I knew this was a very proud moment,and a lot of responsibility had been placed on my shoulders.
I was first sworn in on 5DEC68 at the Federal Building in Buffalo,NY. It was my first real world commitment. I was worried at the time, because they made a young man with an artificial leg go through the whole physical.
I took my oath to defend this country against all enemies both foreign and domestic and to protect the constitution 29 years ago. It was when I enlisted in the U. S. Army.
I am an OATH KEEPER. Have been since first taking the OATH in December 1959 at the time I joined the U.S. Air Force. I urge all Oath Keepers to do something to promote the OATH KEEPERS ORGANIZATION everyday.
