My oldest son just enlisted in the USMC and my youngest is in his high schools ROTC program with the hopes of going Army Airborne. They both understand about where we are headed and are ready to join the Oath Keepers
I’ve joined the ranks of the Oath Keepers to continue that oath out of the service. Although I am a current police officer, I will continue to protect my country against all enemies.
I was born in Dayton,Ohio on Jan.22,1948. I served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. I did two tours of duty in Vietnam during 1967,68,and 69. I was attached to the 180th Assault Support Helicopter Company in Tuy Hoa
I teach Army Cadets and though I may not be old enough to have a serious say in a lot of my surroundings but I can make people think. I will make sure that I will remind my cadets of the oath they will soon take and what that means
I served 2 tours in Southeast Asia and have a lot of friend’s names listed on the Vietnam Wall. I spent my entire career engaged in, or preparing for, the fight against foreign enemies. I am retired now, but my oath is still active
I served in the USCG as a Radioman 2nd class during the Viet Nam war, and was stationed on a support (LORAN) station in the Pacific for 14 mos. from Aug. 1964 – Oct. 1965. I served my entire 4-year hitch as an RM, after completing basic and RM school.
My question to all my brother Marines, active, veteran, retired – whatever: Are you going to honor your oath and what our Corps stands for, or are you going to meekly “follow orders”?
I believe in all that you have posted and have honorably served this nation; 4 years in the Army with the 2/75th Ranger Regiment and am a retired police officer from the City of Farmington, NM.
Having had a conservative mother and husband (also deceased) who would have been concerned as well I suppose I embody the concern of all of them in my determination to defend our constitution with truth and honor for the good of the future of this nation.
I was fortunate enough to be told of your organization by a friend. I am a veteran of over twenty years of service to America. I have retired from the reserves (Marine Corps and Army) but work as a state trooper in Montana.
As a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, I can tell you that many of us know why we are doing this job. We understand what our purpose is. We know it’s not to, “Blindly follow those that our Destroying our Country!”
I travel and do my best to educate people on what it took and takes to keep this country free and stand as the shining light for the world. Our founding fathers words and papers should not be forgotten, or corrupted.
On March 19, 1977, I raised my hand, for the first time, and pledged, on my honor, to faithfully support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help me, God.
I pray that all those who have taken the oath to protect the Constitution and People fully understand the origins and history from which it is derived, and never forget that they have entered into a life-long commitment.
The American people should know, that in the time of crises, that there are those, keepers of their Oath to the Constitution and the Flag of the people, who will not turn against them. Who will say no to any attempt to disarm and imprison them.
I may be the first of my fellow correctional officers to post with oath keepers, I hope I’m not the last. May the flame of liberty become a wild fire in the hearts of men and may it spread across the land from sea to shining sea!
I started my oath back in the summer of 1983 prior to my service into the Marines, since then my journey has taken me in to Nebraska National Guard and later into the Army Reserves.
