As a result of the Boston Marathon Bombing on Patriots Day, Watertown, MA, was placed under Martial Law. It was not called Martial Law, of course, but that is precisely what it was. The authorities referred to it as Shelter-in-Place, and the mainstream media in some instances, referred to it as a Lockdown. Houses were searched without warrants, and homeowners were removed from their abodes under threat of weapons, arrest, or whatever the authorities decided. The Bill of Rights and the Constitution were shredded. They no longer had meaning in Watertown.

International law is clear and unequivocal. Torture is illegal at all times, under all circumstances with no allowed exceptions.
It violates constitutional protections. They include the 8th Amendment’s guarantee against “cruel and unusual punishments.”

Over and over again, you hear people asking: what can be done? What can be done about our Government that is out of control; that is steadily and relentlessly taking away our freedoms?
