I didn’t take the oath lightly | February 28th, 2010

I am both former military (U.S. Army) and law enforcement and now an Arizona Ranger. I’ve taken the oath several times and didn’t take them lightly.

I am both former military (U.S. Army) and law enforcement and now an Arizona Ranger. I’ve taken the oath several times and didn’t take them lightly.

During my training in boot-camp I was told that I was not required to follow “unlawful” orders. Most people don’t realize this part of the oath and I’m afraid many active duty soldier, sailor, airmen and Marines are not aware of this acceptance.

My name is Aaron A. Edison. I am a retired Air Force (Active duty, Air Natl Guard and Reserve) veteran with just over 23 years total service. I also served for 15 years as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

I am both former military (U.S. Army) and law enforcement and now an Arizona Ranger. I’ve taken the oath several times and didn’t take them lightly.

My paternal grandparents fled to this Country in great fear of the European onslaught of tyranny, oppression and fascism just prior to WW2.

I was marched into a room with all the state flags and the US flag in the center. I stood in awe. I raised my right hand, looking at the US Flag in the center of all those State flags, and swore the oath

I took an oath to ‘preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC.’

I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and Viet Nam veteran with 36 years active and reserve service. Obviously, during my time in the Navy I took the oath several times.

Our Forefathers, given clear and timeless vision from our creator, forged our Constitution and it is “WE the People” who must defend it.

I am a vet of the army 1/3/1971 to 12/15/ 1973 proudly serving my country. That is the reason I became a Oath Keeper.

My name is John Lovell. I first took the oath in March, 1970, upon entering the U.S.Army. I then spent just shy of 31 years as a police officer, retiring 2 years ago. I am blessed with a wife, 3 daughters, and two grandchildren.

I served active in the US Navy from 6/3/62 to 6/10/65. Back then it was called a “kiddie kruise”. I was released the day before I was 21 years old. I did two tours of Tonkin Gulf Patrol in 64.

It is with great honor that I take this testimonial like I did for active service without any reservations. It is my pleasure to belong to such a dignified organization.

Many times these honorable people are called upon to manage serious events with little time to secure their own affairs and protect their families and property. Family Safe will provide this missing level of support.

Current serving police officer Eddie Gilbert and his wife Ada sat down and talked about Oath Keepers with founder Stewart Rhodes.
