Oath Keepers is Placing Billboards Outside Every Major Military Base in America to Educate the Troops About Their Oath Bound Duty to Refuse Unconstitutional Orders
![]()
Below are mock-ups of billboards we will use outside of Marine Corps bases and Army bases. We will start with combat arms troops, but will also do billboards outside of bases for all branches, including outside of Air Force bases where Predator Drone “pilots” work. This is just the beginning. The ultimate goal is to place billboards outside of every major military bases in America. Helping Oath Keepers fund this exciting and beneficial project is something anyone with an extra few bucks can do for the defense of our Republic against the storm of totalitarian socialism which is sweeping through legislatures at National and State levels. Here is one very good way for we little people to support a stand against the tyranny of unlawful authoritarianism in government.

One of our first billboards was right outside the main gate of Ft. Leavenworth Kansas to respond directly to the Small Wars Journal article by Leavenworth instructor Colonel Kevin Benson which paints the Tea Party movement as a future military opponent during domestic CONUS operations by the U.S. military. You can read more on that article here and here. Here is the billboard:

Countering the Propaganda of the Domestic Enemies of the Constitution
First, why did we erect that particular billboard, at that particular location? Since Colonel Benson has chosen to demonize the Tea Party movement, by using the Tea Party as the “bad guys”- along with militias – in his hypothetical scenario of future domestic military operations, and since he is apparently using his position at Ft. Leavenworth to brainwash young officers into thinking that the Tea Party is a potential future enemy they will have to fire upon, we felt it was crucial to counter his propaganda in as direct a manner as possible, sending a clear message not just to him, but to his students there at Ft. Leavenworth and to all others stationed there, and to the broader Army. Those young officers need to understand that if they fire on fellow Americans, permitting themselves to be used as tools of oppression, and if they participate in martial law on U.S. soil, then they will become the new “red coats”and will be desecrating and destroying all that generations of American fighting men have bled and died to secure – our liberty.
So one major reason Oath Keepers has created this billboard program is to counter current propaganda which is being taught to our military personnel. The Tea Party is simply NOT an enemy which should be war-gamed by the U.S. military in training scenarios. Colonel Benson’s paper was the catalyst which gave Oath Keepers the idea to do billboards. From Ft. Leavenworth.
We stand in defense of the rights of all Americans, but since Colonel Benson has chosen to name the Tea Party members in particular as possible future military enemies during domestic operations, we are coming to the defense of the Tea Party in this case.
We were planning on starting with Camp Lajeune, North Carolina or Ft. Stewart Georgia, but Colonel Benson’s outrageous and dangerous article in the Small Wars Journal compelled us to make Ft. Leavenworth the first base for our billboard campaign. We wish to thank all who contributed to getting our first billboard out to the public.
The billboard cost us approximately $1,650.00v for the set-up and two months rent. Oath Keepers Lifetime Member Richard Allison stepped up and donated $500.00 for this billboard. He met Oath Keepers Founder Stewart Rhodes during his trip to Minnesota, and when Stewart showed Richard the mock up for the billboard, Richard pulled out his wallet and slapped down five one-hundred dollar bills to get this project rolling. Thanks Richard! Then others stepped up to the plate and pitched in, and the billboard happened.
We will continue to raise funds for other billboards outside of military bases across the United States. All donations for the billboards will be used exclusively for that purpose. Please click on the chip-in link

Oath Keepers of Kansas, lead by Richard Fry, who is also Patriot Coalition General Counsel, secured the billboard, which is 3/4 of a block outside the main gate at Ft. Leavenworth. Oath Keepers of Kansas will also secure a billboard outside of Ft. Riley, Kansas, where the famous 1st Infantry Division (the “Big Red One”) is stationed, and we will place a more general “honor your oath” billboard there. That Ft. Riley billboard will cost an estimated $1,000.00 for two months.
UPDATE:
Amazing good news! One true American Patriot has donated $30,000.00 to our billboard campaign! That wonderful support will get three billboards up, possibly more, for a good number of months. Many thousands of our finest troops will see our message, get our website’s url, and be reminded that each of them swore [or affirmed] their sacred Oath to the Constitution. This is a blessed work, and Oath Keepers wants to express our deep gratitude for the generosity of Patriots who have swelled our funding totals to over forty-five thousand dollars.
More good news – One of our members in Alabama has volunteered to fund a billboard outside Ft. Rucker, near Montgomery, Alabama. This one will not only be visible to our military in that area, but will also be a “back yard” reminder to the SPLC that Oath Keepers is on the battlefield for the Republic – for Montgomery, Alabama is the home of the Southern Poverty Law Center, the very culprits who sell profiling reports on the American people to the Pentagon and to Department of Homeland Security – and – who fear Oath Keepers and our message about the Oath and the Constitution.
