Ongoing Support Needed For Bundy Ranch

Bundy Ranch

The Bundy Family, and the supporters on the ground at their Ranch, including Oath Keepers, have put out the call for continuing support. Needed are:

Pop up tents
Sleeping bags
Food
Water

This will be a long struggle. The BLM and Harry Reid have stated that it is not over.  We Oath Keepers plan on being there as long as it takes.  Elias Alias, our Editor and Board member, is on his way to the Bundy Ranch today, for an extended stay. He’s 67 years old, and a Vietnam Vet, who still heeds the call of freedom.

Men and women, from all corners of the nation,  are rotating in and out of the Bundy Ranch. While they are there, they need our support. If you are going there yourself, please consider bringing extra supplies, such as the above. If you want to support our efforts with financial contributions, ($$$$), Use the form below:

Checks can be mailed to:

Oath Keepers
5130 S. Fort Apache Rd. Suite 215
Las Vegas, NV 89148

Be sure to mention your donation is for the Bundy Ranch effort.

The Bundys need our support, and we have people willing to put boots on the ground to give them support. Your donations in support of this effort will be greatly appreciated by all. Thank you.

    Greetings everyone-

Myself plus 2 so far, are going to be there to help stand watch for 3 days & 3 nights from May 5th to the 7th. This is all I can afford to do as I’m closing my livelihood in order to stand guard for the Bundy family. I wish I could donate more time but I’m needed at home also.

I see no other comments here but I am proud to be an Oath Keeper and I hope my efforts help others see the need for We the People to come & stand with the Bundy’s. For this is WAY bigger than just them. I think American’s are beginning to see that.

As a Former Navy SEAL, I’m honored to come to the aid of TrueBlood American’s who are standing in the breach against those who threaten our Liberty & Freedom.

    Hooyah & God Bless America.

Guy’s there has never been anything worth really having that has not cost someone greatly. We as Oath Keepers have already demonstrated this in the fact that we have sacrificed the best of our years to see that others might enjoy the freedoms that we cherish so much. At times different generations are called on to sacrifice more than previous ones have. I believe that the generations that exist today are being called onto do so. Whether you make minimum wage or $16 an hour we need to support the boots on the ground their even if it hurts. My Wife and I gave $100 for food & water and I became a life member. This didn’t leave much in our bank account as I am the only one working, but what good is a well padded account going to do you if your sitting in a FEMA camp?
Semper Fi, and may we be on the Lord’s side.

I am trying to find a way to contribute in person. I am confounded with the financial aspect, yet, I will find a way.
I salute all of you who can afford to show up here and now.
This is the time for us to stand forth as one, and I love all of you who are doing so.

    Terry Rice Says:

    My Fellow Patriots,
I know that it is hard for most to heed the call for freedom in these shakey times. I am a Viet Nam vet, aches and pains from bayonet and gunshot wounds but I am honored to be putting my gear together for my trip to the Bundy’s. I will be there the first week of May and will stay longer if needed. If any of you are in Northern California, please try and contanct me on the Oathkeepers Forum. This is the line in the sand that we knew has been coming. This country was founded on God, Liberty and Freedom. It will continue.

Remember those who came before us,

    God Bless

I’ll be in Las Vegas on business the last week in April and would like to assist with the Ranch defense by providing some needed supplies. Since that’s about 10 days out can Oath Keepers officers contact me and identify what might be the most critical items needed at that time. I don’t want to bring what might already be in good supply at that time but bring what is really needed at that moment. Any way to coordinate that effort?

Do we have a Rotation Schedule?
I would like to sign up for a rotation schedule, and am wondering how far out it is planned. willing to come out for 7 days. But logistics need to be available. I am at work now In Iraq, and I live in Peru Yes South America. Can fly into the States in Mid May, head for Wyoming grab my stored camping gear and drive down. With this kind of logistics I could use a rotation schedule. I moved out of the USA years ago because it seemed to me America was willing to give up freedom for security. Now that we have woken up I need to do my part.
God bless you all Patriots and Bundys!

Since he couldn’t be there, he wanted to show his support for them and this was how he chose to do it. He’s never had an interest in getting tattoos before now. I’ll send money as I can to help secure supplies. May God bless each one of you out there and the Bundys too. This is a fight about all of us, about all of our freedoms.

I cannot belong to Oath Keepers because I have never been in armed services, police work, etc. I am a retired disabled Humanities professor. However, I am glad to donate what little money I have for an incredibly important effort. I so wish to be able bodied, but there it is. In the meantime, my donation is in the mail.

  44. 44
    Bob Frederickson Says:

Beagle, while I fought for your right to hold the opinion that I am part of a problem, I also fought for American citizens to have a representative government. I do not feel anyone’s vote is a “problem” it is a necessity to live in our form of government. The majority of United States registered voters also voted with me and I will continue to fight for our right to self determination to elect who we choose and expect the collective authority of the United States to be respected. While someone should lose a few days pay for having a “free speech” zone, they do not need to have their life threatened by fellow Americans for their service to us. I also would like to use public lands that I pay for without someone trespassing on our land and stealing services from our property. I do not think one citizen can decide to take our land and have a disgruntled minority put young people who also serve our government in the cross hairs of a loaded rifle. I come from a ranching family in Flathead Valley, MT and am flabbergasted at this behavior. So, as I said, I will be traveling to Bunkerville to lend my support and help defend the electoral process and prevent a domestic threat from attempting a overthrow/coup of the country I love. So I do not feel I am part of the problem, but one who will follow every word of my oath, without footnotes or exceptions. If there were exceptions or if it were up to interpretation, my drill sergeant would have told me so. I went to a war I did not agree with, under orders from a president I did not vote for. There was not an exception then, nor is there one now. I have a couple friends from my platoon that will join me, though I have to loan them a few guns. If anyone has some extra ammo to help me exercise my right to bear arms, please let me know.

  45. 45
    John G. Says:

I’m X-Navy Oath Keeper, and will be going out for the weeks of either April 28th or May 5th. I will be departing from NJ and driving there using camp grounds along the way. If anyone wants to share the ride I can take one other person with gear. If anyone knows who I should contact please help let me know. Either way, I will not let Americans be threatened by their own government with force. I called the Bundy ranch last week and asked if there was anything I could do to help. The simple, heartfelt request was for my prayers. I was then invited to a Friday Party at the ranch. Well, I’m locked and loaded and leaving. Please pray for these people and our nation. God Bless.

    Carolyn Says:

Here is your legal basis. Please share this with the Bundy’s when they get there. They should take their case to The United States Federal Court of Claims.

Bundy does not have to pay grazing permits. He has vested rights
(grandfathered) in the water, therefore under The Prior Appropriations
Water Doctrine used by the western states he owns the rights to the
grazing lands. It is known as “ownership of the fee.” These rights are
    also inheritable.

The federal government can not own land unless they buy it from the state for a military installation: see Article I, Section 8, Clause 17 of The Constitution. Please see Hage v. United States for more on these inheritable rights. Wayne Hage explains the details of the United States Federal Court of Claims case
    in this video: http://vimeo.com/8520897

The BLM has fraudulently been requiring ranchers who inherited these
rights to pay a fee when they are not required to pay a fee. The BLM
has also been illegally blocking access and seizing livestock from ranchers
who have inheritable rights to these grazing lands. One of the first
things that they seized from Bundy were pipes, cisterns, and other
evidence of his inherited, vested water rights.

I just returned home from OK Camp PEACE at Bundy Ranch. I spent 4 days, Apr 16-19. Cried all day Sunday thinking of the men and women in the desert sacrificing everything, even their lives if necessary for a family they don’t know. GO NOW, it will be frustrating but the the mission is so righteous, all the chicken poop stuff doesn’t even matter. All I can think of is going back to bask in the spirit of GOD and liberty. I have seen GOD, and it was in the heats and eyes of the people camped out at OK Camp PEACE on the Bundy Ranch. GO NOW, you will never be the same again.

  53. 53
    Pete Beauregard Says:

    Hi everyone,

I was asked to join OK after I was very active in Occupy San Diego. I was a Navy Corpsman with the 3rd MAW for the last two years of my enlistment in Vietnam starting in 1968, which catapulted me into peaceful disobedience and protesting the war as soon as came back to the US. I did this while still active. So I help set up the medical tent as we occupied the civic center in San Diego a couple of years ago. While I was in the Navy I continued to take care of casualties up to the day I left. I knew and still do know I didn’t fight or treat my brothers in order to protect the Freedom of Speech or the freedom of anything. Now I see these veterans in this blog who are Oath Keepers declaring that they went to wars for oil. Quite a few Oath Keepers still believe a lie that gives them purpose in this world to be a hero and they suffered for us to secure Freedoms that have been endangered since before WWII. I am not trying to offend, I just would like to know if any of you that still believe this notion and have the sense of mind to recognize this. I would love to be a part of Oath Keepers but 98% of the members are fixed on their lust for guns and violence. This is only going to end up one way. Even the people who say they were in wars don’t understand violence just begets more violence and it will never end.

    TRUST IN GOD Says:

    Psalm 91

    Living Bible (TLB)

91 We live within the shadow of the Almighty, sheltered by the God who is above all gods.

2 This I declare, that he alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him. 3 For he rescues you from every trap and protects you from the fatal plague. 4 He will shield you with his wings! They will shelter you. His faithful promises are your armor. 5 Now you don’t need to be afraid of the dark anymore, nor fear the dangers of the day; 6 nor dread the plagues of darkness, nor disasters in the morning.[a]

7 Though a thousand fall at my side, though ten thousand are dying around me, the evil will not touch me. 8 I will see how the wicked are punished, but I will not share it. 9 For Jehovah is my refuge! I choose the God above all gods to shelter me. 10 How then can evil overtake me or any plague come near? 11 For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go. 12 They will steady you with their hands to keep you from stumbling against the rocks on the trail. 13 You can safely meet a lion or step on poisonous snakes, yes, even trample them beneath your feet!

14 For the Lord says, “Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will make him great because he trusts in my name. 15 When he calls on me, I will answer; I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor him. 16 I will satisfy him with a full life[b] and give him my salvation.”

    beagle Says:

Lynn, You and Lewis (via his video) are correct. People need to GET OFF THEIR COMPUTER(S) AND GO THERE NOW!!!! I just got back also. The more bodies present the better. I was unarmed while there, but others who chose to be armed are, in fact, true Patriots!!!!

[I still can't figure out why some on the left are trying to use "patriot" as a pejorative term. Patriot, noun - a person who loves his or her country. The antonyms of the term Patriot include: spy, betrayer, and traitor. So, it appears if you are not a "Patriot" then you are "Traitor". Perhaps some on the other side should read a dictionary once in a while (or are they too busy talking on their free Obama phones and eating their government Snickers bars to be bothered).]

This is NOT (nor to me, ever been) about cows! This is about First Amendment “Areas” set up by the Federal Government and Federal law enforcement officers pointing loaded weapons at families in order to make an example of them to the rest of the public.

NOW is the time to be heard. If you do not voice your concern then you might be next. GO NOW – even if it just to show your support of the cause and opposition to Federal Government overstepping.

If you don’t go and show your support go then don’t cry later when a SWAT team shows up to take your property.

    [sorry for any typos]

There is alot at stake here, it’s not just about Grazing Fees and Turtles, this present government has grabbed too much, it is out of control. Our Founding Father’s had it right, WE THE PEOPLE, need to take back our freedom. I believe that the Federal Government will one day unplug the internet and then how do we communicate to the degree that we have been – has anyone given much thought to “what if” the internet went down, or even the cell towers? Ham Radio operators and other means would have to rise up. It’s really important to group and unite together to protect our way of life, our freedom and liberty. Bob Frederickson… thank you for your service in defending American freedoms. Please allow me to state the following: Sir… first and foremost it is Americans who make and break a country that is known as America. Military Code, and Admiralty Law have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with constitutionality… and does not belong within the boundaries of Constitutional Inheritance. If indeed your intention is to sit within the bounds of the Oath Keeper encampment. which is operating in an attempt to thwart federal over reach and illegal activity, and instead of honoring the American Constitution are going to instead undermine that attempt please be advised that you are not needed at the bundy ranch. Go support Love at his operation across the tracks…

It was Americans who chose America over the British that won the war, not turn coat Americans who supported the British. I sincerely hope that your British mentality will not become an issue there at the Bundy Ranch. If it does I will excercise my right to detain you from your actions. SEMPER FORTIS…. brother…

It’s a coward who masks his passion for violence under the guise of “following orders” and then touts his resume in a demand for respect. The true patriot, the true warrior, loves neither violence nor death but rather acknowledges that these are necessities for liberty to flourish. Freedom isn’t won by following orders, it’s won by selfless men and woman fighting for a common idea, putting the needs of their neighbors before their own.

    Greg,

You really don’t need any “equipment”. When I went I was unarmed the whole time. I was there to show my objection to a SWAT team collecting on a debt and setting up First Amendment areas.

We each can have a role, even it is just being there to show you support.

I think it is important that while the security folks are doing what they are doing, the average citizen be there to show they will not tolerate government heavy-handedness either.

To all you men and women standing guard and standing up for all our rights, I thank you. The support you are showing brings tears to my eyes. I knew there were good patriotic people out there. It puts me a little at ease to know people like yous are standing up for our rights, and our children’s rights. I used to be scared to death of what my daughters futures would look like, but this has given me a new faith in humanity and all our children’s futures. My sheriffs brigade will be meeting with Mr. Brett White from the oath keepers this weekend, I can’t wait to see how we can help and all work together to take back our country. This isn’t about you or me, but about all our rights and freedoms that our ancestors have fought so hard for, if we don’t stand strong together now, then our future and our children’s future will have no rights or freedoms. Fight the good fight. May god watch over all of you. Thank you.

    TRUST IN GOD Says:

The Bundys appear to be honorable American citizens without adequate legal counsel to help resolve a federal land issue about which they disagree with the Bureau of Land Management. Without question, they violated some of the innumerable laws and regulations that continue to entangle every aspect of American life.Their violations could certainly have been handled through a multitude of less brutal means than those employed by our federal government, which through the mouthpiece of Sen. Harry Reid emphasizes how important it is for the government to enforce its laws.

It is quite interesting to see, though, that the same bureaucrats refuse to enforce some of our federal border-protection laws and other domestic policies with which they disagree. Perhaps Mr. Reid’s time could be better spent explaining why it is acceptable for the federal government to pick and choose which laws it wishes to enforce.

The senator readily referred to the Bundys and their supporters as “domestic terrorists,” but the current administration is reticent about applying the same term to Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who admitted slaughtering more than a dozen people in 2009 at Fort Hood in Texas. What does this tell us about our government and its perceptions and alignments?

The massive show of federal force in the Bundy case is frightening because it gives us a brief glimpse of the totalitarian regime that awaits a sleeping populace that does not take seriously its voting responsibilities, and places in public office (and returns them to office) who do not represent traditional American values.

The fact that the ranchers were well armed and willing to literally fight for their rights probably tempered the enthusiasm of the federal forces to engage in further aggression. It was clear from the body language and some of the reported verbal responses of the government forces that they were not prepared to engage in lethal combat with fellow Americans.

Those Americans who are concerned about the possible future imposition of martial law after a financial collapse or some other event should take solace in knowing that many military and law enforcement personnel would likely refuse to obey commands inconsistent with freedom and American values. Such commands could emanate from any political party in the future, but it is likely that such a party would be one controlling an administration that selectively enforces laws and ignores or excuses corruption.

    Dave Says:

Any official Oathkeeper Comments on the times article and Bundy’s acused “negro” quotes?

[Editor's Note: Hi Dave; I don't know how "official" this may be, but as your friendly editor I'll be glad to offer my personal take on it. I am probably qualified to reply to your query because I chanced to be standing there when the NYTimes reporter recorded Mr. Bundy's commentary on the plight of "negroes". His context was that since the Negro has been "assisted" by Federal entitlement programs, those programs have largely produced the slums in many American cities. I know damn well what was said there by Mr. Bundy and I know the context in which those quotations the NYTimes has selectively published were made. You, Dave, should have been there yourself so you could clearly see now the bias in the finished article published by NYTimes. But of course, I doubt that you found time to be there at the Bundy Ranch, yet you have found time to monitor the Oath Keepers website and to share your snide question with us in an apparent effort to rain on our parade. Dave, why not go out there in the big ol' world and start your own parade, instead of worrying about someone else's parade, eh? What was your purpose in asking this question? What on earth does Mr. Bundy's personal view on the American Negro have to do with the issue at hand here? Is this the best y'all can do?

What you have done here is to provoke me to write an accounting of the truth about that press conference from which the NYTimes has composed a meaningless and futile exercise in fabrication in hopes of clouding the issue. The issue here, Dave, is the Federal government's authority (or lack thereof) to own land in the several States. That is what this is all about, Dave. It is not about turtles, cows, negroes, or even about the Mexicans whom Bundy praised heartily in that same press conference. Bundy said not one "racist" statement about negro people - he was talking about their plight and fate in this country after slavery was abolished, and, as it burns in your soul to admit this, he was questioning the Federal government's approach to helping blacks in today's society, which, as many blacks themselves lament, has proven at last that the welfare-warfare government policy is a failure, attested to by the boundless inner-city blight and sub-poverty conditions we all know exist. Welfare has done severe damage to the independence and prosperity of blacks and other minorities, as well as with poor whites. The NY Times journalist (or the corporate editors back at the cutting room) was (were) apparently looking for anything they might stretch to support Harry Reid and his statist camp who have called cowboys and their friends domestic terrorists.

Additionally, I noticed that the New York times failed to mention the police woman from California who was standing right beside Mr. Bundy during his interview. She is a card-carrying Oath Keeper and a current serving police officer, and she noted for the crowd standing there listening to Mr. Bundy that she was a "Peace Officer" instead of being a "Law Enforcement Officer". The NYTimes also forgot to mention that Sheriff Rogers from Elkhart County, Indiana, had flown out there and was slso standing beside Mr. Bundy while the incompetent reporter from the NYTimes was filtering everything Mr. Bundy said to find any shred of a statement which could be manipulated, twisted, spun, and/or distorted to discredit Mr. Bundy in any way.

Thank you for inspiring me to take apart this fluff piece of hyper-statism published by the New York Times. Is there anything else you'd like to discuss?
    Salute!

Can someone who is there/has been there give any details on the the conditions in the camping rea?

Is there water close by. Even though it may need minor filtering? (Big Berky level) I guess there is a river fairly close.

How far to the nearest town to get supplies? Maybe do laundry, gas and groceries.

    Does Verizon get service there?

Do they have any kind of range set up for function check?

    Dog OK to bring?

Are they still welcoming folks? Is it OK just to drop in, set up, and try to find something useful to do?
    Thanks

I’m looking at a possible extended stay. But it’s about an 1800 mile drive for me. Would be nice to see some details about the lay of the land.

I too am a United States Patriot. I just joined Oath Keepers because I took an oath. I’m a Fire Captain and believe the words I said. Enough is enough, The American People are supposed to be free not controlled by government in every step of our lives. The line is in the sand. My donation is given with respect to what we must endure to keep our nation free. Be sure they are reading our mail and watching what we do. I’m not afraid and won’t hide my face from what I believe.

I have been on site since the day the BLM left. I have been banned from the forum while people take cheap shots that were not here. I came here on my own nickel as did many others. I had a donation site up that was helping the people here with a motel room and hot showers. Spent over 5K so far. To those of you judging me…I am herew and know the truth of what happened but am unable to defend myself on the web site while people like Steve Forbes that do not know me and were never here take cheap shots when they do not have all the facts. I have met some of the finest people on the planet here…men tat were prepared to spend their life defending the Bundy Family…God Love them. Our Donation site on the forum tat was actually helping people here was taken down. If this is how we treat the people that came here and have had boots on the ground since the BLM left….we need to take a hard look in the mirror. I have e-mailed Stewart twice with no response….says a lot for me. I am/was a life member because I believed in this organization…I still believe in the people here but the leadership needs to accept responsibility for what they did.
