A Meditation for Thanksgiving Eve

Oath Keepers salutes “Maureen” and “Mae” for fetching the meditations below. Maureen sent in “the light blue dot” by NASA, narrated by Carl Sagan, and Mae sent George Washington’s proclamation for Thanksgiving Day.

While the brief video was not created to be a Thanksgiving message, it in fact is a perfect psychological and emotional setting for approaching the spirit of thankfulness. So I thought I’d offer it to our readers with a wish from Oath Keepers for a meaningful Thanksgiving experience. I also would like to share with our readers a few of my own words.

Suspend the Revolution for just one day. Replace ranting with reflection. Recall where the center is found inside oneself. Register appreciation for one’s loved ones, for one’s neighbors, community, and the greater country. Reflect on one’s character and the many reasons one should respect oneself. Let kindness, peace, and happiness surround oneself while in the company of others. Suspend politics. Forget about the idiot politicians.  Forgive everyone for everything, including oneself, even if it’s just for one day. Breathe deeply, and know the breath of life.

Recall that the past history of our forebears sent us all a message named the Constitution for the united States of America. That message is the message of freedom from government tyranny. Let us recall the nature and value of freedom throughout Thanksgiving Day. Let us each be thankful for our tradition of freedom and personal responsibility. Remember America, the original idea of it, the glory in its potential, and let us not fail to recall also the horror when it lists wildly in its perverted condition, when wicked men hold the reins of power – and let us each, in our innermost selves, in our hearts and souls, resolve to heal it’s horror into glory for mankind as one’s own personal revolution of love. That is the message I drew from viewing the video below.

The greatest power on earth is Love. Love is a power which no government can register. It can overcome the wickedness of the NSA, the CIA, and every other governmental institution which is now arrayed against the Constitution and our freedoms. Love is our birthright, is unalienable; and our form of government, unprecedented in all of human history, was created to protect all human rights which spring eternally from Love. Let us be thankful that we still have a chance, and a bit of time, to save our rightful, lawful, Constitutional government from the clutches of statists who mistakenly think that government is somehow capable of giving us “rights”.  Soul-less corporate fictions thought-up by the minds of mankind’s undisciplined self-motivated ego-driven “leaders”, i.e., governments and “the corporations which grow up around them”, cannot know the power of Love. That is a power only we the living can know. For that, be thankful!

So let us restore our focus on Love, which is the last thing the statists want us to do, and let us embrace ourselves and our families and our communities and our beloved America this Thanksgiving Day, and empower ourselves to advance the cause of freedom from all government tyranny everywhere as we remember our truest nature, and our most formidable power – the nature and power of Love.

Then, after Thanksgiving, let us all get back out there and kick statist ass. OoohRah!

Oath Keepers is thankful for every Oath Keeper, for each member and each anonymous supporter who, for security reasons is not a member but who works within the “belly of the Beast” and knows why he/she chooses to, when that certain moment comes, honor the sacred obligation carried in the swearing of the Oath. To each and all of ye, Oath Keepers wishes you and yours a very blessed, satiate, sentient, and happy Thanksgiving Day!

And Oath Keepers salutes “Mae” for fetching this original patriot:

New York, 3 October 1789

By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor– and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be– That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks–for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation–for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war–for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed–for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted–for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.

and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions– to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually–to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed–to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord–To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us–and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.

I am grateful for men and women whose duty to conscience doesn’t waiver and is non-negotiable. In this vain, I am especially grateful to be associated with like minded men who believe the U.S. Constitution and human freedom are more dear than life itself. Lastly, I say to those in D.C. engineering more government for my proported benefit and welfare…MOLON LABE!

Once we have removed ourselves from the protection and worship of our Heavenly Father, we are on our own, in this life and the next. May God have mercy on our nation.

When people read the founding fathers own words it is clear to see they ha God in mind in everything they did yet my whole life the left has tried to tell me that they were secularists at best. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

I truly Enjoyed Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos” series. The wide variety of music and image exposure was truly enlightening. This “Pale Blue Dot” video serves as an honor to his lifetime even when he denied the existence of visitors while knowing full well that the US Government was working with them so long ago.
In his last months of life he revealed many things and he is truly missed.
We can look to our governments and to the petty Elite and simply witness their crimes for wealth, their machinations and their disbelief when the people no longer buy their lies and deceptions.
It behooves all of us to remember our place in the universe just as those who think they are “better or more” than others need to be put back into place as equal with the least of human beings.

Molon Labe. I am an Oath Keeper.

The words and ideals of General Washington must be held gently in the heart of every American who chooses to label himself/herself a patriot. The Constitution of the United States was written by many hands, each of which was guided by God and inspired by His unconditional gift of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!” We must never allow any man, any ideology, to diminish God’s gift!!!

    Greetings Everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!

Regardless of the path you chose to take in this life, may it be blessed with grace, humility, courage and fortitude to acknowledge life’s blessings and be at peace within while being a positive influence to all you love, befriend, mentor or meet… As you have been to me in my time of knowing and loving you too.

As we gather, whether in thought, deed or prayer to celebrate with family and friends, let us not forget to include blessing our nation’s founding as well. It is the reason why Thanksgiving as a ritual, exists in our culture to this day.

The practice of Thanksgiving (phrasing intentional) is something that very few of us remember with real clarity why. After I read this account of our history and heritage, I could see that our struggles and problems today would be understood by the pilgrims and the founding fathers of our nation. They had already tried communism and it almost killed the first colony and although not really discussed here as where they looked for guidance to change their system of governance; it is quite obvious they went to the bible for answers hence establishing the foundation of our destiny as a Christian nation. I’m well assured in my understanding that our forefathers and founding fathers (and mothers) would be just as aghast and outraged to see the desecration of our foundation as we are. That’s is what it truly is: a desecration and sundering. I use these terrible words boldly and offer you some history and a sermon worthy of perusal.

The speech of Rabbi Cahn gave at the Inaugural Prayer Breakfast of 2012 was a riveting sermon combining history and God’s word. Very interesting.

    Light and Love,
