Let me get this straight, Henry. You say you have been against US direct military involvement in Syria, but because the President has declared an attack on Syria by the US military is in the US interest, we must follow him in lockstep, even though we disagree with his (Obama’s) assessment of the situation? I think that is what you just said. In other words, the only voice that really matters in regards to US actions is that of the President. That is what you are saying, it seems to me. It reminds me of the Vietnam era slogan, “My Country, right or wrong.” I long ago discarded that argument as being anathema to a free people. – Shorty Dawkins, Associate Editor
