Consider this to be a call to action for all Oath Keepers and Patriots.

Our man in South-West Oregon is Tom McKirgan. I have enjoyed speaking with, and working with, Tom this year as he pushes the envelope for freedom in his neck of the woods. Right now, Tom is working in tandem with PANDA Oregon’s State Team Leader Shane Ozbun of Eugene, Oregon, to fight at the Coos County Commission for a resolution banning the NDAA-2012 in Coos County. Of the three Commissioners, one is friendly to the cause of rejecting/nullifying NDAA-2012, but the other two are opposed to such a resolution.

PANDA is: “People Against the NDAA“. Oath Keepers works with PANDA every way we can, same as we work with FIJA and the Tenth Amendment Center and other liberty-driven groups. Dan Johnson of Bowling Green, Ohio, is the founder of PANDA and is coordinating with Shane Ozbun and Tom McKirgan in this fight. I am excited to report that Tom McKirgan and Shane Ozbun are teamed-up and working together to bring the resolution to the attention of not only the County Commission, but also to every citizen in Coos County. The resistance is on, however, so Shane and Tom have their work cut out for themselves – and for us!

That’s right – I’m calling for all who can to help fight against the NDAA-2012 in Oregon. Being basically in the middle of nowhere, Coos County would be a long drive to actually show up there for rallies, but anyone capable and willing should do that on July 15, 2013.

Resistance Is Futile?

Resistance Is Futile?

What the rest of us can do is very simple – we need supportive and educational  “comments” under an article at the local newspaper there in Coos County, and at one other site.  We also need to launch a broadside email volley to the two Commissioners who are resisting the resolution to nullify NDAA-2012. That is the mission – just read an article at your computer and make a comment and/or send an email. Details on that are below.

Here is an excerpt from PANDA’s article on this: https://pandaunite.org/ndaa-panda-and-oath-keepers-attacked-by-coos-county-oregon-newspaper-panda-under-fire/

PANDA Under Fire!

In Coos County, Oregon, the struggle against these provisions began when Oath Keepers S.W. Oregon Coordinator Tom McKirgan spoke to the county commission in October, 2012 and February, 2013. He, along with members of PANDA, made the case for anti-NDAA resolution on April 2, May 7, and once more with a passionate outpouring of support on June 4. Unfortunately, two of the three Commissioners, despite their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, refuse to allow a vote.

A Coos County paper, The World, not only leveled personal attacks against the people of PANDA and Oath Keepers, but also denounced local action against the 2012 NDAA, saying “county officials obviously have no authority over federal law”.
-

So Tom and Shane are in battle mode and they’re going to have a large rally, a sort of regional “Town Hall” rally on July 15, 2013. (See below.) There are quite a few Oath Keepers and PANDAs in the area, so they are expecting a good turnout.  The next County Commission meeting is at the end of July/first of August 2013. This is a great event at which to wear your Oath Keepers gear and spread around lots of Oath Keepers brochures, DVDs, bumper stickers, etc.
But that event is still a couple of weeks away. Meanwhile, there is this article in a local newspaper, and it takes a couple of sniper shots at our good name and PANDA’s good name. Check out the article at this link -

Here is a snippet from said article -

County should mind own business

Local activists twice have addressed Coos County’s commissioners in recent weeks, demanding they take a stand against the National Defense Authorization Act. Though county officials obviously have no authority over federal law, these folk want Coos County to record a roar of futility, much like the infamous “nuclear free zone” in Berkeley, Calif.

The commissioners should resist the pressure.

The commissioners also need to be careful about lending their official credibility to organizations with dubious pedigrees. One of the two groups pressing for county action, the Oath Keepers, is a thinly repackaged revival of ultra-right radicalism. It springs from the same network of discontent that gave us the Posse Comitatus, the survivalists and the militia movement. The other group, People Against NDAA (PANDA for short), is an unlikely combination of political bedfellows, stretching from the Occupy movement to the tea party and beyond.

5. Last but also important, if you’ve got any ammo left after doing all the above, how’s about sending a word of thanks and encouragement to the one Patriot on the Coos County Commission, to thank him for standing against the NDAA-2012.

This is a good idea to get us all working together to stop NDAA. Count me in.

“Commissioner Sweet is out of the office until July 8, 2013. He will not be checking emails or voicemail while he is gone.” Received in response to my email requesting that he get on board.

lol Shows you how dedicated he is to his post.

Here is my letter I sent to both him and Ms. Cribbins. Feel free to use it as a guide, any and everyone:

It has come to my attention that you oppose a resolution that would nullify the NDAA (indefinite detention) in Coos County, Oregon. I also understand that you are leery of Panda and the Oath Keepers.

I have been active with Oath Keepers here in Orange County, CA. We are trying very hard to return this country back to a Constitutional Republic as the founding fathers originally intended. We oppose big Government on principle and are horrified at the power grabs initiated jointly from both sides of the aisle in Washington.

The NDAA in effect legalizes tyranny. I am at a loss as to how any moral politician (yes, I just put those words together) could possibly balk at the notion of nullifying indefinite detention. Please stand with Bob Main in supporting the resolution to nullify the NDAA.

To Susan @ comment #4; Very nicely done, Susan. Nice choice of words, strongly asserted but not rude. Thank you for composing a good message to Sweet and Cribbins. Well done.

    Peter Says:

I am writing because I believe in the Constitution, the Constitutional Republic, the many millions of “legal immigrants” who risked everything to come here, work here, build America and experience Freedom,Opportunity,a present and a future for themselves and their children.

My father was one of the millions. He,my grandparents,my 5 aunts and uncles immigrated”legally” from the Ukraine to embrace the American Dream turned Nightmare.

I lost my cousin and 2 friends on 9/11 and several buddies in Vietnam/Cambodia.So many have fought,so many have been seriously hurt and too many have died for Freedom! They worked indefatigably, they took nothing, they were driven and responsible.

N.D.A.A. is the very same tyranny all of these heroes thought they left behind to embrace America. The Constitution, if nothing else was written to “limit” government, protect the people from tyrants and tyranny. N.D.A.A. and all the freedoms we have lost are “crimes”. They are Constitutional Crimes, Civil Crimes as the evisceration of the Constitution goes on.

There are many millions like myself who are asking you to honor a system that worked, that gave millions a piece of the Dream, that built an economy,a standard of living that the tyrants have stolen, spent, taken without accountability as we are Broke, led by tyrants and crooks who have violated their oath, act as dictators, used executive orders, executive “Privilege” and the demise of “Checks and Balances” by all three branches of Government.

We want our country back and voting down N.D.A.A. is your responsibility, your promise to represent people not Government tyranny!

When writing these articles, you need to at least once some place in the article tell what the
N.D.A.A. or PANDA are for those who are not familiar. PANDA is a bear that is from China and I guess N.D.A.A. is an Astronaut program.

    Darin Bowers Says:

Hello my fellow Defenders of the Republic.

I must apologize for my absence over the past couple weeks.
I have been dealing with quite alot but i am back in the
fight and support this 100% and will be sending this down the
    patriot pipeline.

I will have lot of time on my hands after having recently
been hit by a car on my motorcycle, rendering me with 6 broken ribs,
punctured lung, partially collapsed lung and a couple deep puncture wounds
on my lower left leg. I must commend the officers who handled me, they were
very respectful of my firearm and took very good care of it while i was
in the hospital recovering. Thank God it did not suffer much damage during
the wreck other than 2 small scuffs. A testament to Kimber’s toughness.
My brothers here in Cleveland are very good men. Im just disappointed
that my “Defender Cycle” is down for a few weeks, it proudly displayes
the OathKeeper tab on the widsheild and got alot of attention for
our group. But the good news is, i have a VERY good idea for the new
paint scheme on it when i get the insurance money, it will resemble
#79 and the helmet wrap designs :D

The weekend prior to this (june 22) we had our first OK meet and Greet
in Amherst, OH and it went VERY well. Now that a “home base” group has been
established, i and many others will be growing our group exponentially from
here on out. I was very impressed with the caliber of people i met, they
were informed, intelligent and passionate. I couldnt be more pleased and am
super stoked about growing the OathKeepers in Cleveland. And i will.

A couple weeks prior to this, my little defender (my little min-pin
named Rowdy) decided he had had enough of the intimidation from the
200 lb St Bernard next door, and climbed the fence into his yard and
waged war on him. Unfortunately Rowdy lost this fight and it cost him
his little life, he fought like a lion right up to the end tho and
never backed down. I only hope that i can have his courage, he didnt
care who it was or how big they were….. if he felt they were a threat to
me, he would defend me and attack them without hesitation, without fear
and without restraint. I will miss my little defender, but he knew his
time was short due to his age and he went out fighting the biggest dog
in the neighborhood in defense of his home and his master :)
We do a shot of the Captain in honor of Rowdy every weekend. He was my little
guardian, may he rest in peace.

Now back to the fight, down with NDAA, Holder,Feinstink, Obama and the
rest of the treason loving degenerates who have taken this Republic
apart. May God be with you all in your fight, never give up, never
    give in.
Be strong in the Lord, his wrath will not be stayed much longer.

    resist, defy, rebel, smuggle

    lll

    Hey Darin,
Glad to have you back. Sorry to hear of your accident. Mend well. You are a solid patriot. We need men like you.

Great news about your OK meetup. We are growing and getting the word out.
