On April 29, Michaelangelo Conte published in The Jersey Journal a story of keen interest to all Oath Keepers. Coming just ten days after Oath Keepers mustered on the Lexington (Massachusetts) Battle Green, April 19, 2013, the story evokes memories of five rallies which I attended over a three day period in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York State – April 19, 20, 21. At each of the rallies I witnessed in strong breezes the ample folds of III% flags rippling atop the crowds. Along with numerous Oath Keepers marching shirts and hats, I saw numerous patches and signage indicating a strong presence of III%ers.
It should be noted that Oath Keepers is an autonomous organization, and is not officially affiliated with the III Percent movement. Likewise, the III% movement is not affiliated with Oath Keepers. Each is unique.
Yet each group holds to certain mutual values, such as a knack for honoring the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Both groups are big on the Second Amendment. It follows naturally that some Oath Keepers members are also III%ers, and vice versa. Both groups are forever in the crosshairs of the psychotic hate group named Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). Both groups are feared by the collectivist socialist new world order wimps, who understand all too clearly that they cannot drag America into a one-world government so long as our Constitution retains its sovereignty. They also understand that so long as the American people are armed to the teeth against domestic/governmental abuse, our Constitution shall retain that sovereignty.
I was traveling with the man who created the III% movement, Mike Vanderboegh. In fact, I helped “smuggle” Mike into Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York State. Damn glad I did. Taking a five-day, 3,000 mile sojourn with Mike Vanderboegh was an interesting, informative, and exciting experience. Mike is, after all, the guy who worked with David Codrea to expose the ATF’s most embarrassing moment since Waco, 20 years ago.
What Mike discovered, and gave to Sharyl Attkisson of CBS, was the “Fast and Furious” gun-running caper concocted in Eric Holder’s U.S. Department of Justice, a plan in which the damned-by-God ATF saw good reason to ship a couple thousand military-grade rifles to the Mexican drug cartels along our border. Yes, Mike is the guy who caught it and popped it, so when you hear Mike Vanderboegh say that Eric Holder knows him by name, Mike is not joking. The Oath Breakers at ATF most likely hate Mike Vanderboegh more than any single human being in America. And as Mike says, “The feeling is mutual.” Want to see him say that? Watch his now-famous smuggling speech at the Hartford, Connecticut, State Capitol building, of April 20, 2013.
Mike keeps the following statement on his website -
The Doctrine of the Three Percent.
“The Three Percent are the folks the Founders counted on to save the Republic when everyone else abandoned it.
And we will.
There will be no more free Wacos and no more free Katrinas.
For we are the Three Percent.
We will not disarm.
You cannot convince us.
You cannot intimidate us.
You can try to kill us, if you think you can.
But remember, we’ll shoot back .
We are not going away.
We are not backing up another inch.
And there are THREE MILLION OF US.
Your move, Mr. Wannabe Tyrant.
If somewhat abrasive to the average progressive cretin out there in Lalaland, that is a statement of fact, held in several million Americans’ hearts – no more backing up when the Fedgov tries to usurp further liberty. According to Mike, several million Americans “will shoot back” if tyranny rears its ugly head.
The foregoing is a quite brief intro to the concept of the Three Percent. But for the moment, let’s look at something that’s happened in New Jersey.
Could it be that Oath Keepers’ message and the III%er attitude has been noticed by some of our finest? The following news article is an example of what drives the tortured soul of Daryl Johnson mad -
Jersey City police brass identify a pro-militia clique in the department and say they’ve been stopped

A clique of officers who calls themselves “Three-Percenters” in the Jersey City Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit sprouted about two years ago, officials have told The Jersey Journal.
“They were separating themselves from the others in the unit and we put a stop to it immediately,” Jersey City Police Deputy Chief Peter Nalbach said.
The deputy chief said there were officers who were disciplined over the matter.
Three-percenters are an “anti-government extremist” movement that has grown since President Barack Obama took office, according to the Anti Defamation League, a nonprofit that combats what it believes to be anti-Semitism and bigotry.
The three-percent movement promotes the idea that the federal government is plotting to take away the rights of American citizens and must be resisted, the ADL says on its website.
The three-percenters apparently get their name from the notion that 3 percent of American colonists took up arms against the British crown during the Revolutionary War, according to the Three Percenter’s Club on Facebook, which has more than 17,500 followers.
“The (three-percenter) honors and is sworn to uphold and enforce the Constitution of the United States of America… (Three-percenters) are soldiers who have sworn to defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic,” the groups says on its “About” page.
Followers sometimes call themselves “Oath Keepers” and associate with self-described pro-militia “patriot” groups that support gun rights and “engage in groundless conspiracy theorizing,” including the idea that the Sept. 11, 2011, terrorist attacks were perpetrated by the federal government, according to the nonprofit Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups.

Just a few hours after the above article by Compte, Ron Zeitlinger of The Jersey Journal added the following article -
‘Three Percenters’ founder: Wrong to discipline Jersey City police officers

A group of Jersey City police officers should not have been disciplined for being a part of the “Three Percenters” movement, one of the movement’s founders said this morning.
In a brief telephone interview from Tennessee, Michael Graham said that he believes the officers have a right to have their own political beliefs — and in fact that there are many police, firefighters and veterans among the “three percenters.”
“We don’t collect any money, or ask anyone for anything, but maybe we should because we could help out the police officers who were unnecessarily disciplined,” Graham said.
Jersey City police officials confirmed to The Jersey Journal that about two years ago a group of Jersey City police officers in the Emergency Services Unit had separated themselves from other officers and counted themselves among the “three percenters.”
“We put a stop to it,” and those involved were disciplined,” JCPD Deputy Chief Peter Nalbach said.
Graham also took issue with the Anti Defamation League’s characterization of the movement as bigoted anti-government extremists who believe the current government is plotting to take away the rights of American citizens. Graham said that if anything, “three percenters” are pro-government.
“We believe in the government,” Graham said, adding that the movement wants the country’s leaders to adhere to the U.S. Constitution. Graham pointed out legislators’ current push to ban assault weapons and to create more regulations on gun purchases.

Poll: Do you agree with Jersey City’s actions in dealing with a clique of “Three Percenters”?
(When I voted in the poll, the results were, at 11:49 p.m. April 29, 2013, 600 votes “No” (70.34%) and 253 votes “Yes” (29.66%) Total votes 853. You know what to do, eh?
What do you think about punishing police officers for supporting the III% movement? After meeting a goodly number of sympathetic police officers in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut on my trip with Mike Vanderboegh, I’m greatly encouraged and see the beauty in the Oath Keepers mission. We have good cops all over the place, and many of them know darned well what’s up with today’s Federal tyranny. Your comments are welcome.
