[Editor's Note: Breaking story. Yet another would-be terrorist makes friends with the FBI and receives their help in developing his master plan to blow up something - this time, a bank in California. Once again, the FBI tricks the bad guy with an impotent bomb, then arrests him when he tries to detonate the thing. While Oath Keepers wishes to praise the FBI for being capable of attracting so many would-be terrorists, which is the appearance the media will invariably render in cases like this, we will await more info about what motivated this man to conceive the idea of blowing up a bank and blaming it on militia groups and their sympathizers - and - inviting the FBI to share in his secret. Wanting to make the explosion appear to be the handiwork of a militia is, in itself, a bit off the beaten path of Islamic Jihad, in my opinion. That qualifies the idiot's plan as a psy-op, because it would be designed to convey a message in the media once media coverage ensued. We will await more Intel on how the man managed, like so many before him, to find undercover FBI agents with whom to share his wicked notions. This story is new, and could warm up greatly, but initially I smell a rat. Meanwhile, contingent upon developments yet to be revealed, we salute the FBI for sparing America a horrendous terror event in California.

When we read the pdf for the Court Complaint we find these sentences:
“At this initial meeting, Llaneza proposed conducting a car-bomb attack against a bank in the San Francisco Bay area. He proposed structuring the attack to make it appear that the responsible party was an umbrella organization for a loose collection of anti-government militias and their sympathizers.” – - Criminal Court Complaint February 07 2013 Alameda County, California; Case number 4-73-70148
Pdf of court filing for this case is here:
Justice Department officials charged a Taliban sympathizer in California with attempting to carry out a terrorist attack that he hoped would be blamed on “right-wing” groups, thereby provoking a civil war.
Matthew Aaron Llaneza is accused of attempting to detonate a car bomb at a Bank of America in Oakland. “Llaneza’s stated goal was to trigger a government crackdown, which he expected would trigger a right-wing counter-response against the government followed by, he hoped, a civil war,” according to court documents. The complaint says that Llaneza wanted to frame “a loose collection of anti-government militias and their sympathizers.”
Llaneza originally planned to attack a Federal Reserve building, but he changed his mind because of building security. The Federal Reserve has risen in the public eye over recent years, in part because former Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, criticized the central bank throughout his presidential campaigns. A spokesman for the the local U.S. Attorney said he had no comment on which group in particular Llaneza wanted to blame.
