Editor’s introductory and personal note:
Pastor Chuck Baldwin has been one of my favorite liberty fighters for years. I had read many of his articles at News With Views long before I was blessed to meet Pastor Baldwin personally, and had sent my aging parents a couple of his video sermons. (Being southern Christian conservative Republicans who believed in Rush Limbaugh’s “Republican Party cheerleading”, watched Fox News religiously, and steadfastly denied that criminals have overtaken our nation’s Federal government, my parents were in denial such as we see yet in today’s mainstream American society. They finally awakened to our nation’s peril when they watched Chuck Baldwin’s sermon, “What Every Christian Should Know About The New World Order”. )
I finally had the pleasure of meeting Pastor Chuck Baldwin in December, 2010, when he agreed to be our keynote speaker for Montana Oath Keepers’ Liberty Leadership Conference in Helena. That is where he electrified a packed convention hall with his “Montana Is The Tip Of The Spear In The Fight For Freedom” speech and had everyone up on their feet. His charisma comes straight from the heart, naturally warming his passion for liberty, and as he spoke a wave of new confidence in the spirit of freedom moved the crowd. Folks in Montana are still talking about that speech, and I at times review my cherished video of the moment. It was at that conference that Chuck and I celebrated a remarkable agreement that I, an avowed agnostic, and he, a devoted Christian, could, should, and would work together in the mutual cause of freedom for the salvation of our beloved Constitutional Republic.
Pastor Chuck Baldwin was the national Constitution Party’s candidate for President and received Ron Paul’s endorsement in 2008. He appears in James Jaeger’s film about how a Third Party candidate could actually win the White House. Chuck has completed already his interview, along with Stewart Rhodes, in James Jaeger’s upcoming film, Molon Labe: How The Second Amendment Guarantees America’s Freedom.
It is a time-honored tradition in the U.S. Military that chaplains accompany our troops in the field. Oath Keepers is proud to publish Chuck Baldwin’s acceptance letter as he has agreed to become Oath Keepers’ national Chaplain. Please read his bio, linked in his letter below, and visit his websites. Here is a man of God who does not compromise, will not accept 501-C status or any other agreement with the Devil, and has the old-fashioned American-style guts to stand and fight for freedom. Oath Keepers gratefully welcomes Pastor Chuck Baldwin as our new Chaplain.

Pastor Chuck Baldwin’s Acceptance Letter
February 7, 2013
Dear Fellow Oath Keepers,
It is with the utmost humility that I have accepted Stewart Rhodes’ invitation to become National Chaplain of Oath Keepers. This is a responsibility that I take very seriously. Therefore, I promise you all that I will do my best to minister to you in a way that is fitting for the finest men and women in America.
For those of you who may not know me, I am including a link to the online bio that appears on my website. See it at:
In addition to ChuckBaldwinLive.com, the other website that I encourage you to visit is the site of our church, Liberty Fellowship, which is located in Kalispell, Montana. Stewart and his family are faithful members of this congregation. That website is located at:
Please allow me to simply say here that I appreciate all of you who have taken an oath to defend our liberties from all enemies, foreign or domestic. And as we all know, we don’t have to travel to foreign countries to discover the enemies of freedom. Unfortunately, too many of them call America home. Accordingly, our resolve to defend freedom principles must be as ardent and courageous at home as it is abroad.
Stewart wants me to encourage you to view my video messages, which are archived online each week. To view last Sunday’s message entitled, “Slaves To Fear,” (a sermon Stewart especially wants you to see), go to:

In addition to other responsibilities, I am also a syndicated columnist. All my columns are also archived online. I think my fellow Oath Keepers would really enjoy the last few columns, especially the ones entitled, “My Line In The Sand Is Drawn Here” and “The Law Of The Sword.” You may read them here:
One more thing: we livestream our Sunday service at Liberty Fellowship each Sunday afternoon at (approximately) 2:30 pm (MST). I invite you to worship with us at Liberty Fellowship. We are a congregation of believers that truly knows what’s going on and are willing to band together as one for the defense of the Gospel and liberty. To watch the service live on Sunday afternoon, go to:
I pray that this introductory letter will help you know a little more about your National Chaplain and will help to unite our hearts for the challenges ahead. Again, I am honored to be your Chaplain.
