Breitbart: Ohio School District Votes 5-0 to Arm Staff

On Wednesday, the Montpelier Exempted Village Schools Board of Education voted 5-0 to put guns on campus.

Their move will allow custodians to undertake training and carry handguns on the K-12 school grounds in Williams county.

It will be a show of force and a real life defense against criminals like Adam Lanza.

School board president Larry Martin said the crime at Sandy Hook Elementary forced his hand: “Our main goal is to offer safety for our students while they are in our classrooms and in the building. We have to do something and this seems like the most logical, reasonable course to go with.”

Superintendent Jamie Grime echoed Martin’s sentiment: “There is a need for schools to beef up their security measures… guns in the hands of the right people are not a hindrance. They are a means to protect.”

An example to the rest of us. Local people, local action, local results. I pray my baby daughter one day finds herself in the care of dedicated teachers with the means to defend her from both ignorance AND violence.

Wait, isn’t Ohio the state Democrats were boasting of Obama’s alleged presidential election domination? What was it, 100% of all districts?
Strange that American citizens would take common sense measures that their president elect openly disagrees with.

Site Dedication

This site is dedicated to the memory of John William Adams (1925-2006), Marine and Oath Keeper extraordinaire.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.

Founder Stewart Rhodes
