Dirty Joke

This article was written by T. Hunt Tooley and originally published at

I flew out of Boston Logan Airport recently, an early flight, everyone fresh at the start of the day. The lines at the TSA checkpoint were short, but slow. As we got close enough to hear, we heard at least four or five of the agents shouting instructions at the top of their lungs. Now if you have flown recently, you may have noticed the “new look” of the TSA. Improved, militarized uniforms; can-do attitude; a kind of fake jocularity.

But the Logan guys had not gotten the memo. They were standing hands on hips, braying out orders to beat the band. A male and female agent – both tall, blond, and beefy – competed in yelling contradicting orders to passengers: “Step to your right!” “I told you to step to the left!” “Put your ticket in the bowl!” “Hold your ticket high in the air during the body scan!”

Somebody said, “But that agent told me to step to the right.” The reply from the man: “Get over here now!”

Meanwhile, repeated little lectures about obedience. I am not exaggerating: I made notes on all this a few minutes later. The patter of commands, countermands, jokes at the expense of the passengers, little homilies about doing what you are told – this was absolutely constant.

Up ahead, I heard a distinguished man in his fifties arguing – definitely a taboo at the checkpoint! A TSA agent was yelling at him that the TSA bore no responsibility for his missing property. The man had courage. He kept saying “Your Responsibility!” And TSA-Man kept repeating over and over (not call-and-response, but just over and over), “Your Responsibility!” Amazingly, they did not haul him away. But he was certainly detained for a while: I watched him after I had gone through (no doubt a violation of some Federal regulation).

Having studied, taught, and written about the Nazi concentration camp system for the greater part of my life, I really can’t help but see SS-Men in these TSA-Men. From countless memoirs of all kinds of individuals swept up in the huge concentration camp system of the Third Reich, you see the same jocularity, the same contradictory orders designed to disorient, the same commands to undress, to hurry up, to put your cap on, to take it off, to put it on: “Mütze ab!” “Mütze an!” And the memoir literature is replete with the “humor” of SS-Men (Gestapo included of course: Secret State Security) who wavered between joking humiliation of their victims and outright rage.

Except for actual beatings, the TSA-Men and TSA-Women before me in Boston, constituents of a real Heimat-Sicherheits-Dienst, behaved in ways that diverged in no particular from the beefy SS-Men and the hard-eyed women guards of the SS-Gefolge. There were pat-downs, body-searches, x-ray machines the SS would have loved, disarray, confusion, shouting – a real analogue.

In the line leading up to the frantic moment of taking off shoes, etc., I am always reminded of the courtroom of Nazi Judge Roland Freisler, who presided over the “defendants” in the trials following the assassination attempt against Hitler. The men were all denied the use of their belts. Hence, these distinguished opponents of the dictator – most of whom, face it, had lost weight in a few weeks in the Prinz-Albrecht-Strasse cells – would have to hold up their pants, making them appear even more ridiculous and pathetic in the (filmed) proceedings, even more the object of Judge Freisler’s swings from vicious humor to nearly incoherent outrage.

Back to October 2012, a typical day in these United States, the “Administrator” of the TSA (do you suppose he has read Colonel House’s plodding book, Philip Dru, Administrator?), with the unlikely name of Pistole, was on the air discussing all the improvements instituted by the TSA – a virtual flood of changes in the wake of the Congressional hearing from this summer, a hearing entitled “TSA’s Efforts to Fix Its Poor Customer Service Reputation and Become a Leaner, Smarter Agency.”

According to Pistole, the TSA will not be body-searching as many children as previously. A high percentage of the TSA agents have received training in having a lighter touch (I am not sure what that would mean in this context). And some airports will be dismantling the x-ray naked-scan machines (supposedly Boston, but there they were nonetheless in mid-October), and there will be even more as yet unannounced improvements in “customer service.”

Customer Service. I am sure that the SS-Men would have enjoyed that joke a great deal.

This is so Nazi that I would be surprised except that it was taken out of schools, and any metion of it in forums, etc gets one banned.

Worse, they are occasionally bringing out the propaganda that “it never happened”. You can even see that in comments sections.

Yet here the slow takeover of our legitimate government, the US Constitution, is extremely like what happened in constitutional Germany. Back then “our CIA brought the doctors, etc here (and put them up in ohter places) so that we could “learn” from them. Kissenger is another who actually became a part of our Government. Taking over the education of our children helps make this seem “normal” here. Passing “gun control” laws, indefinte detention, warrant less arrests, etc all were / are the tools of the Nazi Regime.

‘When an opponent declares, “I will not come over to your side,” I calmly say, “Your child belongs to us already…. What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.’ Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), German dictator. speech, Nov. 6, 1933. Quoted in William L. Shirer, “Education in the Third Reich,” ch. 8, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich (1959)

”The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to permit the conquered Eastern peoples to have arms. History teaches that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so”. Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), April 11, 1942, quoted in Hitlers Tischegesprache Im Fuhrerhauptquartier 1941-1942.

“Uncontrolled search and seizure is one of the first and most effective weapons in the arsenal of every arbitrary government. Among deprivations of rights, none is so effective in cowing a population, crushing the spirit of the individual and putting terror in every heart.” Justice Robert Jackson, Chief U.S. Prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials

Eventually they organized and dominated every phase of German life.

(As is being done here thru the UN laws, and executive orders, bills, laws made here.)

They created a “Party” police system, which became the pattern and the instrument of the police state, which was the first goal in their plan. Nuremberg Trials.

(DHS and TSA – starting to arrange themselves throughout our nation to control our every move and where we can go: at airports, bus stations, train stations, even on our own roads.)

‘Basically there two governments in Germany – the real, which operated in plain sight and maintained the forms of the legitimate German Republic; and the hidden which was the actual power behind those in the public eye, were above the law and rested in the Leadership Corps of the Nazi Party’. Nuremberg Trials

‘Secret arrest and indefinite detention; without charges, without evidence, without hearing, without counsel, and no court could issue an injunction, or writ of habeas corpus, or certiorari. The German people were in the hands of the police, the police were in the hands of the Nazi Party, and the Party was in the hands of a ring of evil men who wanted to rule the world’. Nuremberg Trials

What is the difference between “wanting to rule the world” and “one world government”? I see no difference between them. I ee that what was used and worked then, is being used now. I am not sure who said it – but we were told that America would be taken over without a shot.

It is happening now. And like what happened in Germany – we know things are wrong, but few are acting on that knowledge.

I am not sure if any are interested but I made a petition to require all who take the Oath to keep it or be replaced immediately; or if the offense is bad enough require arrest and prosecution. Petition

I am also going to make one for my state.

I resemble these remarks! I am TSA, I am a DISABLED US Veteran, I am a Former police officer. I do not work at Boston Logan. What all TSA bashers forget or just dont care about is that 25 percent of the DHS work force are Veterans. Most of us were awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Silver Star, and in 1 case the Navy Cross. We chose to work to ensure some jackass does not sneak a bomb on a plane. Here is a fact for you neigh sayers….There have been more terrorist attacks on the American people by American people than by muslims, or any other religious entity. I disagree with Pistole about customer service in the security realm. Imagine a Police officer with an armed gang member..”Excuse me sir please put away your weapon your scaring the other people” You say that doesnt apply to TSA…so what do you think is going to happen when some nut job decides to walk into an airport and start shooting because they lost their job. Who will the public blame for a bomb blowing up an airplane, we do a difficult job no one else wants to. Give us a break, if you think your being treated badly, file a complaint. Quit messing with the guys in uniform, we are tired of the abuse. Oh and for those that say well if you dont like your job get a better one…when your a disabled vet it is difficult to get hired by anyone. So when you do have a job you tend to hold onto it.

    H. Nelson Says:

ADC- I’m not a disabled vet. I do come from a loooong line of soldiers that dates back to the
American Revolution. I was unemployed for a couple years after getting out. While I was in and had to travel for my duty position, I have never been treated so badly as I was by TSA. My bags were always searched, I was constantly “randomly picked” for extra security searches. Orders or DOD ID card made no difference in treatment.

You retards have forgotten who you work for: We The People. We pay your checks and supply your
employment. Be more kind to those that pay for your wages. Treating your employers badly only creates more abuse from us. Violating our Constitutional Rights on a daily basis are not winning you any friends either. Just remember, the concentration camp guards that used “I was only folowing orders” as their plea in Nurnenburg, did not work either. I do not feel safer with TSA presence, quite the opposite. Why would I feel safer after you assholes riffled through my bags and wrinkled my uniforms because you wadded them up and shoved them back in? Now I know how the Jews felt when they being loaded up into box cars for the journey to the camps. Ironic that the wheel of totalitarianism has come to full circle, only the uniforms have changed.

  9. 9
    M. Dunn Says:

ADC, please tell us all how many terrorist attacks the TSA has stopped or prevented ??? Dont worry we will all with bated breathe while you figure it out ! Here I will give you a hint …………. NONE, KEINER, NINGUNO, HNKTO, AUCUN, 没有. ( just for your educational purposes, I provided the word NONE, in German, French, Russian, Spanish and Chinese) Just to make sure you understand. The TSA is nothing more than another bloated, self serving bureaucracy, whose only job is to ensure that it continues to exsist, not serve the american people. Every stopped terrorist attempt that the TSA has “claimed” credit for has originated outside of the U.S. with the exception of the 9/11 attacks. And in every instance there was not a single one of Pistole’e blue shirts to be found, so please spare us the TSA is your friend, we work hard drivel. And I take personal offesnse of your opening statement “I am a disabled vet” as if that is a gold card for you to act like a complete ass clown, and treat soverign american citizens like criminals. You hide behind your little blue shirt and pewter badge, barking ordedrs and treating people in a manner that would get your head caved in if you acted like that towards people on the street. So the guys in uniform are tired of the abuse ??? How about the american people are tired of the abuse from you autistic [Bleep!]. I apologize to my fellow oathkeepers for my rant, and to ADC, you and the TSA can go [Bleep!].

ADC – first off, thank you for your prior service. However, I cannot understand how an Oathkeeper could work for the TSA.

“Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” Ben Franklin

To paraphrase Mr. Franklin: Better a bomb go off on a plane than to deny every would-be traveler his right to be free from warrantless search and seizure.

Bad things happen. Sometimes bad people do bad things, but you can’t preemptively punish everyone because someone ‘might’ do something bad. Well, you do, buy you can’t do that and stay within the confines of the Constitution.

Your entire organization is in direct violation of the 4th Amendment.

You either agree with the Declaration of Independance, the U. S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights (and the philosophys of their framers) or you don’t. And if you don’t agree with the Constitution, why are you on this particular website?
