ANOKA, Minn., March 12, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — ATK

announced that it is being awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement from the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS, ICE) for .40 caliber ammunition. This contract features a base of 12 months, includes four option years, and will have a maximum volume of 450 million rounds.

ATK was the incumbent and won the contract with its HST bullet, which has proven itself in the field. The special hollow point effectively passes through a variety of barriers and holds its jacket in the toughest conditions. HST is engineered for 100-percent weight retention, limits collateral damage, and avoids over-penetration.

“We are proud to extend our track record as the prime supplier of .40 caliber duty ammunition for DHS, ICE,” said Ron Johnson, President of ATK’s Security and Sporting group. “The HST is a proven design that will continue to serve those who keep our borders safe.”

ATK will produce the ammunition at the Federal Cartridge Company facility in Anoka, Minn. Deliveries are expected to begin in June.

Are they to be used against the american people when they come to squash our freedoms and our 2A rights. Will we be able to get ammo or will they now only sell to the gov’t?

That’s a lot of hot lead.

450,000,000 bullets / 200,000 warm bodies = 2,250 bullets per dot-gov. Spread over five years it’s 450 bullets per dot-gov per year.

The DHS has never ordered this much ammunition for “training purposes” in the history of the agency. The training arm of DHS is all but at a stalemate due to budget cuts. The many agencies were until recently at a hiring freeze due to the budget issues. Why now does the DHS require 450 million rounds of .40 and 175 million rounds of .223 SD and EP ammo? Perhaps the second term of Obama will reveal ammunition taxes or ammunition will become largely unavailable due to factories being paid to be inactive.

Why does the Government need all this ammo? How much money did the ATK dude give to re-electe the kenyan?

I am thinkin its about this NDAA and the NDRPO, FEMA CAMPS,and JEOROME CORSIs prediction about possible coup later in Sept? GUN CONFISCATION from private citizens, UN coming to AMerica. Somethin fishy. TRUMPETS sounding!!!!!

This appears to go along with the info that DHS is preparing for a massive civil war due to the economy.
I say it might be the administration preparing mfor a situation that allows the pres to declare a national emergency and subsequantly “Martial Law”
All of his executive orders seem to be leaning in that direction.
I for one am standing by my “oaths” that I swore to many years ago and many time.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.
