Stewart Rhodes Interview – Senate Detention Bill is Pure Treason – Declares War on American People
Guest Stewart Rhodes, founder of Oath Keepers, joins Alex to discuss the implications of indefinite detention and torture for American citizens under the looming National Defense Authorization Act.
Please spread this video and the below statement far and wide. Americans need to know about this grave threat to our Constitution and our liberty.
Here is what Stewart Rhodes wrote about this bill yesterday. He will have a more detailed write up soon.
NOTE FROM STEWART RHODES:
The Senate is very near to passing Senate Bill 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, which contains provisions that will give clear congressional support and authorization for indefinite military detention and military trial of American citizens. If passed, this will amount to a declaration of war against the American people, authorizing the Obama Administration and all future administrations to treat Americans the same as citizens of occupied Iraq or Afghanistan, subjecting us all to military jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of the international laws of war, rather than our Bill of Rights and our domestic criminal laws, upon the mere say so of Obama or one of his minions.
There is a great deal of confusion about this bill, with some incorrectly interpreting it as not affecting American citizens. There is also confusion about the very dangerous legal precedents that this bill seeks to codify and bolster.
I am writing an in-depth article where I will do my best to clarify both what this bill does, how all three branches of the federal government have worked to impose the international laws of war on the American people, the historical and legal precedents, and just how close we are to losing our Bill of Rights forever. I will send that article out shortly, but please act now to put some serious pressure on your Senators to stop the detention provisions in S. 1867.
For an in-depth analysis of “enemy combatant status” see my 2004 Yale paper, available at: http://oathkeepers.org/oath/2010/11/09/solving-the-puzzle-of-enemy-combatant-status-stewart-rhodes/
We are now very nearly at the point where all that will save liberty in America is another American Revolution. This bill, if it becomes law, will shove us across that line, placing us in almost exactly the same position our forefathers were in when they were forced to take up arms in defense of their liberty in 1775. If you wish to avoid that, you must stop this bill from becoming law, right now.

61 Senators Committed Treason…

How can we as a nation ensure security by destroying the Rights and Liberties we hold dear?
I see the Patriot act as the greatest attack on the United States since the revolutionary war. I would prefer attacks such as 9/11 over the subversion of our Constitutional rights, at least we have a chance of preventing further attacks, once our rights have been given away, it will take another revolution to get them back. How is it that those who hate America the most are in power over it? By adopting such radical and crazy measures, they have already allowed our enemies to win.
Those who would trade Liberty for security deserve neither! Ben Franklin

SB 1867, If passed, would clearly be unconstitutional and if passed by this senate, would be prima facia evidence that any senator who voted for this bill does not have enough knowledge of the US constitution to hold his / her office as a US Senator and should Imediately be removed from office. We the People need to contact our senators with our wishes to kill SB1867, and we should put forth a testing requirement for all elected officials to take and pass before being allowed to run for office as a political elected official. Sincerely, traprjon.

Sir: I just contacted Sen. Coburn (S-OK) and informed him of my deep concern re: portions of this bill–where the fed gov can detain American citizens, indefinitely, with no proof provided, that they are in any way a threat. Sen. Coburn’s office informed me that this is not part of the bill, that is is a misnomr, a rumor and will not be included in this SB. Please clarify if this is true or not. I was directed to read the bill at Thomas.gov. Thank You.

Seems to me that this Subsection of Section 1032, page 362, assures that this does not apply to a US citizen. Am I missing something?
15 b) APPLICABILITY TO UNITED STATES CITIZENS
16 AND LAWFUL RESIDENT ALIENS
17 (1) UNITED STATES CITIZENS – The require-

For what it’s worth, IMO the dickheads in DC that have ripped of this country are starting to realize that they’re physically vulnerable. When (not if, if things don’t change) this country go’s belly up, people are going to be looking for someone to hold accountable. Congress is going to depend on bills like this be used to protect their collective asses. It didn’t work in France during the French Revolution. It didn’t work during the 1st American Revolution. Another way of looking at is…you can pass all the laws you want, but if you can’t enforce them, they’re worthless. To quote Edmund Burke….”Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it.” Time will tell.

Article III. section 3 already defines treason and how you can be convicted of it. This bill is in violation of the Constitution of the United States and requires a Constitutional amendment be adapted per Atricle V. Here we go with continued ignoring the Constitution by the left as it pleases them. This in itself make the law unconstitutioonal per Norton v Shelby County 118 US 425 p 442.

They are now ready to fill up their ” gulags ” and I suspect it will start as soon as he realizes he is not going to win the next election , unless they can get another Soroass puppet , of either party , in there . We need to elect RON PAUL , Michelle Bachmann , or possibly Rick Santorum in their , all the rest will be business as usual or worse .
