Update 8-24-11: Oath Keepers To Muster Quartzsite, Arizona, August 27, 2011

Updating August 24, 2011
Two Arizona State Legislators Will March With Oath Keepers and Speak In Quartzsite August 27, 2011
Oath Keepers is pleased and honored to announce that two current serving Arizona state legislators, Representative Carl Seel, House District 6 (Chairman of the Joint Legislative Audit Committee), and Representative Judy M. Burges, House District 4 (Chairman of the House Committee on Government), will be joining us at the head of our march on Saturday morning, August 27, 2011 in Quartzsite. They will be there to honor the “Quartzsite Ten” police officers when the march stops at the Quartzsite Town Hall, and both of these fine legislators will be keynote speakers at the Liberty Festival after the march, which starts at 1pm. Representatives Seel and Representative Burges are attending to show their support for brave and principled peace officers who are willing to risk their careers to honor the rights of the citizens of Arizona, and in support of citizens who desire open and transparent government. And they will have a chance to get a first hand look at the situation in Quartzsite. It is great to see state legislators stepping up to get involved in this situation. They are fine examples of what an oath sworn public servant should be like. May their example be emulated across this nation.
UPDATED MARCH DETAILS:
Oath Keepers, along with the Sons of Liberty Riders, the Greater Phoenix Tea Party Patriots, the Campaign For Liberty, RidersUSA, Freedom’s Phoenix, and numerous other patriot/Constitutionalist groups, will muster in support of the ‘Quartzsite Ten’ -- the ten officers/employees of the Quartzsite, Arizona, Police Department who have blown the whistle and leveled allegations of corruption in Quartzsite, Arizona.
The Quartzsite Liberty Festival will also support the concerned citizenry of Quartzsite, local activists such as grass-roots journalist Jennifer ‘Jade’ Jones, and the town Mayor, the Honorable Ed Foster (a Marine veteran), who have stood up for the free speech rights of the citizens. This non-partisan Festival will include a banner and flag march.
This muster and march is slated for August 27, 2011, in Quartzsite, Arizona. Campers will begin gathering on Friday, August 26, 2011, at Vito’s RV Park. Vito’s RV Park is located at 290 Kuehn, west of Central Blvd. Phone: 928-916-8556. Map is here: http://www.city-data.com/profiles/39769
Several media organizations will cover this event, including Ernest Hancock of Freedom’s Phoenix, http://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Front-Page.htm
The march participants will muster at 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning at Vito’s RV Park and the march to Town Hall will begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp. The distance is less than two miles. Please bring flags and banners and signs. Water will be provided along the march route, and volunteer EMTs from Phoenix Fire Department will be present for assistance if needed. Please also bear in mind that security will be visibly present, and various government agencies will be present (with our gratitude) and they will not be in uniform.
Oath Keepers is comprised of active duty and retired police, military, first responders, veterans, and dedicated patriots who support our efforts. This march is strictly and solely to honor those courageous Quartzsite P.D. employees, brave Constitutionalist citizens, and the Honorable Mayor Ed Foster. Therefore this march is a celebration and is to be conducted peacefully and in full compliance with local and State laws. We are asking for your “positive” energy, not anger. We are WINNING, so let’s celebrate!
The Oath Keepers Jeep, courtesy of Oath Keepers Board member Terry Flink, (see above pic) will head a motorcycle brigade of eighty or more riders on the street as the foot-marchers remain on sidewalks and road-shoulders. The march will honor all lawful requirements, obey all traffic signals and signs, and proceed with pride and dignity befitting American patriots.
At Town Hall Oath Keepers will hold a fifteen-minute ceremony in support of the ‘Quartzsite Ten’, Jennifer ‘Jade’ Jones, Mayor Ed Foster, and the Constitutionalist citizens of Quartzsite.
At 1:00 p.m., back at Vito’s RV Park, the crowd will hear presentations by the Greater Phoenix Tea Party, the Sons of Liberty Riders, the RidersUSA, Freedom’s Phoenix, Campaign For Liberty, Arizona legislature Representatives Judy Burges** and Carl Seel***(see biographies below), Arizona Oath Keepers chapter leadership, and Oath Keepers founder, CEO and President Stewart Rhodes.
At 4:00 p.m. everyone will break for a pot-luck bar-b-que dinner – bring what you can to share.
At 5:00 p.m. the music/entertainment begins, kicked-off by Jordan Page of Indiana (Campaign For Liberty/Ron Paul advocate) who will be followed by two other Arizona bands and (un-confirmed) Luca Zanna.
At 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning, August 28, 2011 – We are calling for volunteers to form a moving caravan to move Jennifer ‘Jade’ Jones to her new living quarters.

** Arizona State Representative Burges has sponsored legislation which defended Arizona against federalism and unfunded mandates while keeping Arizona’s Sovereignty, as well as protecting Arizona Citizen’s right to privacy. Representative Burges received the Champion of the Taxpayer award for her vigilance against wasteful spending of Taxpayer’s hard-earned income. She is the Chairman of the House Committee on Government, and was recently voted The Most Effective Legislator. Representative Burges is dedicated to serving the citizens of her legislative district as their spokesman, and she is committed to serving all Arizonan’s and this Great State of Arizona – helping to create a truly wonderful State for all of us.
-
*** Arizona State Representative, Carl Seel, was elected to the House of Representatives in 2008 to bring economic stability once again to Arizona, reduce intrusive government growth, as well as to strengthen Arizona’s southern Border. Representative Seel has sponsored legislation which has kept Arizona financially solvent and has been a strong proponent of stopping budget overruns, wasteful spending, and needless programs. Representative Seel believes in a strong and secure southern Arizona border, and supports the law enforcement officers who stand-in-the-gap for our protection. He is proud to serve on the House Public Safety Committee overseeing all law enforcement and First Responders in Arizona. He believes candidates for elected office should publicly show their qualifications to hold elected office. Already recognized for his pro-business views, Rep. Seel received the Champion of the Taxpayer award. He is also the Chairman of the Joint Legislative Audit Committee; this important committee holds governments in the State of Arizona accountable and works toward creating more transparency with those governments. Representative Seel is outspoken in his beliefs to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitutions of these United States of America and the Great State of Arizona. These beliefs are more than mere words, and many are learning he lives by that pledge.
Oath Keepers salutes Representatives Burges and Seel and the moral values for which they stand in Arizona. They will march with us to the Town Hall, and each will make a brief presentation to the audience beginning at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Vito’s RV Park in Quartzsite, Arizona.

URGENT August 27 Quartzsite Rally Update!
Important message from Stewart Rhodes.
Oath keepers, this rally in Quartzsite, AZ on August 27 is now more than just a march in support of ten oath keeping officers and a stand-up Marine veteran Mayor.
This is going to be a liberty celebration BASH. (See detailes itinerary below).
After the march in honor of the Quartzsite ten, we will have a big barbeque and then live music on into the night by some excellent local bands and also a live concert by freedom fighter musician JORDAN PAGE.
Jordan is a nationally known superstar in the freedom movement, and a big supporter of Oath Keepers (he often wears an Oath Keepers Tee shirt when he performs). He’s the Thomas Paine of music. He loves Oath Keepers and is honored to join us for this historic event.
We do need to help cover his costs, so we have created a chip in where folks can donate to help get Jordan Page to our event in Quartzsite, Arizona on August 27. Please donate and spread it around to others.
To embed this chipin on your site: Click the copy link on the chipin widget, copy the text and enter the code into your website editor.
We will also be joined by Arizona radio show dynamo and freedom fighter Ernest Hancock, of Freedom’s Phoenix, who will do a live broadcast of the event. He will also post the Jordan Page chip-in on his site and help raise funds and promote the event.
This event will be an historic stand for honor, courage, and oath keeping, and will serve as an example of what MUST happen across American to restore our Republic.
We all need to sweep our own “porch” clean, sweeping out corruption and good ol boy networks and big government petty tyrants in every community.
Let it start here. Let it start now, right in Quartzsite. Let’s set the example and show em how it’s done!
And let’s also hold a celebration of our liberty and our commitment to take up the torch of liberty handed down to us from our fathers, and reaffirm our commitment to preserve it for our children. FEAR NOT, and let the beast know you fear not, by joining us with a smile on your face.
Remember, all that matters is that our children are free. I think this song by Jordan Page says it all. -- Stewart Rhodes:

Oath Keepers considers the Quartzsite saga to be a vital pivot point on which small-town America shall awaken to the encroachment of corruption and violation of rights from Federal levels downward into our local communities and our daily lives across the nation. This muster and march shall send forth a clarion call to the American people to restore the Republic from the bottom up, starting with their local communities. The muster will support and protect the whistleblowers in seats or positions of government power, and will applaud the courage and integrity of the Quartzsite Ten in standing up to unjust use of power by no longer being willing to follow un-Constitutional, and therefore unlawful, orders. Oath Keepers across America, our supporters, cooperating groups, friends, concerned citizens, are invited and requested to march with us in Quartzsite.

Update And Info August 12, 2011:
Muster 8:30 a.m. at Vito’s RV Park (see below)
March starts at 10:00 a.m. Be early to line up please.
Motels at Quartzsite are practically all sold out. Camping and sleeping-bag crashing will be at Vito’s RV Park & Rice Ranch RV Park -- Tent camping (full service facility) $7/night (928) 916-0556
The word we have from Vito is that each camp place may hold as many people as can fit in, all for the same $7 per night. Please contact Vito to make sure you can get a space or share a space. Call today! We do have a back-up RV Park for over-flow. There will be indoor sleeping in a large community building which will be air conditioned, for those who do not want the direct desert-life experience out-of-doors, but space indoors will be limited to first come first served basis. Those not wishing to ‘rough it’ can check for motel rooms in Phoenix, which is 130 miles east of Quartzsite on I-10 but don’t be late for the muster Saturday morning! The march will be the highlight of the day.
Many people are scheduling to arrive at Vito’s in the afternoon hours of August 26, where fellowship for the next morning’s muster and march will begin as the liberty lovers pile into the campground.
The muster will be at 8:30 a.m., Saturday morning, August 27, at Vito’s RV Park. All marchers/riders will be mustered to depart for the march to the town Hall at 10:00 a.m. Please bring marching flags and banners, and don’t forget to bring your Oath Keepers gear. Many will arrive in the morning hours from Phoenix and other points. We have people coming from as far away as Alaska and Florida.
Another motorcycle group will join with the Sons of Liberty Riders, but we do not yet know how many motorcycles will be present.
The march will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the route is just under one mile from Vito’s to the Town Hall. At the Town Hall we will make presentations to Mayor Ed Foster, Jennifer Jones, and the Quartzsite Ten. This will only take about fifteen minutes, and then we will march back to our muster area at Vito’s RV Park. There will be water available during the march. The entire march should take less than an hour start to finish.
Please bring cameras.
Oath Keepers will provide security, but we are calling for all participants to be on our best behavior. Our march itself will be statement enough, will send the proper message for the citizens of Quartzsite to show our support in their quest for honest local government, and it will be most powerful as we remain dignified and resolute in our mission there at Quartzsite.
Upon returning to Vito’s RV Park we will settle in for speeches and presentations until about 5:00 p.m., after which live music will take the stage and bar-b-que food will be available. Locals are asked to bring food to share if possible -- we are lining up refrigeration to hold it while we’re marching. If you have potato salad, or cole slaw, or anything such as hamburger meat or whatever to share, please do bring. We do not know yet how many people we can expect, but some may be glad to share food with others. Think of it as a “pot-luck get-together”.
This page will be updated continuously.

Calling all freedom troops! Oath Keepers Muster! Quartzsite Liberty Festival!
Quartzsite Ten Stand On Their Oath Against Alleged Corruption
On Sunday, July 31, 2011, the Board of Directors of Oath Keepers unanimously voted to call on the Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Montana chapters of Oath Keepers to conduct an official Oath Keepers Muster at Quartzsite, Arizona. This muster will be held in conjunction with several other patriotic civic organizations, Sons of Liberty Riders, the Sons of Liberty, the Greater Phoenix Tea Party Patriots, the Campaign For Liberty, others to be announced.
The Muster will be held on August 27, 2011.
The purpose of this Muster is to support the courageous stand against alleged corruption within that town’s Police Department by ten police officers of the Quartzsite, Arizona Police Department. The ten officers are currently under “administrative leave,” and at least two of them have been fired from their employment in Quartzsite Police Department. The State’s Attorney General has issued a statement indicating an ongoing State-level investigation, and the County Attorney has issued a statement confirming some of the allegations brought by the whistleblowing officers. Public outcry is at a roar. It is essential that we support oath keeping officers just as stridently as we call out oath breakers, and here we have ten stellar examples of police officers doing the right thing. They need our full support, so if you can make this muster, please answer the call.
The Muster is also aimed at supporting local patriot/activist Jennifer ‘Jade’ Jones and Quartzsite Mayor Ed Foster, who is a Marine veteran who has kept his oath by standing up for the free speech and political participation rights of the citizens of his town. Oath Keepers intends to spotlight the need for local involvement in local government, transparency in government on all levels, and to encourage unity through community action as small-town America strives for public office accountability in local affairs. America is watching, thanks to the efforts of Jennifer ‘Jade’ Jones, the Quartzsite Ten, and Mayor Ed Foster.
We want large, tall marching flags and banners please. Oath Keepers are encouraged to wear their Oath Keepers gear. To buy your black-and-gold Muster shirts, hats and other Oath Keepers gear, please check with our online store:
http://oathkeepers.org/oath/store/
See video of our Tucson Muster and march:
Be advised: Southwestern Arizona experiences 100-degree-plus temperatures, so come prepared to handle high heat during our march. We are told that ten or more Phoenix Fire Department EMTs will be volunteering to assist heat victims during the march, if needed.

NOTE FROM STEWART:
According to two eye witnesses, Quartzite Chief of Police Jeff Gilbert referred to the Oath Keepers, the Greater Phoenix Tea Party, and the Sons of Liberty Riders as “terrorists” during a public “coffee with the Chief” meeting on August 3, 2011. Reportedly, Chief Gilbert made the reference while discussing the upcoming August 27, 2011 rally that will be carried out by Oath Keepers, the Greater Phoenix Tea Party, and the Sons of Liberty Riders, telling the audience “”I take these terrorist threats very seriously and I have reported them to the FBI and anyone else who will listen.”
This was first reported by the Greater Phoenix Tea Party at http://phoenixteaparty.ning.com/profiles/blogs/greater-phoenix-tea-party-have
A public information request has been filed to secure the video and audio of the meeting. We will then know exactly what he said. However, given his past behavior, I find the witnesses highly credible.
Here is my response to the Chief:
If Chief Gilbert wants to label us “terrorists” simply for keeping our oaths to defend the Constitution, by using our natural right of free speech in support of good police officers who refused unlawful orders, and if he is going to label us “terrorists” for simply exercising our First Amendment protected right to peaceably assemble and petition government for a redress of grievances, -- all rights that GOOD MEN fought and died to preserve - well then, all I have to say is “we’re your huckleberries” Chief. See you in Quartzsite folks! Our forefathers are watching.

Way to Go Oath Keepers! And Sons of Liberty Riders!Proud to be a Part of Both These Great Organizations! OORAH!
August 3rd, 2011 at 2:44 pm
Even though I’m aging badly & my actual ability to help has degraded considerably, I’m still glad to have found that there still IS a code of honor present in human beings.
I first took my own Oath back in 1986 when I joined the Navy…Although I’ve been out of service for more than 20 years & my Oath is no longer lawfully BINDING, I still take it seriously on a personal level & continue to do what I can with what I have left.

James, that’s all any man can do – what he can with what he has. Duty is ours, results are God’s.
Glad to have you aboard.

FREEDOM RINGS
In 1776 a group of people got together to form a more perfect union.
Dedicated to the idea that we should all live with freedom and liberty.
That idea has been working for a long time now and very seldom has it been challenged.
That is until a town council, a town manager, and a police chief decided to abandon everything that we have been fighting for over 200 years.
Free speech is no longer allowed at council meetings and there is talk about limiting our freedom of assembly.
What will they do next?
Soon they will see that “We have not yet begun to fight” and soon they will see that we will not go quietly into the night and just fade away, and soon they will see that they will pay for their crimes.
And on that day we will all celebrate what this country has always stood for in the past and shall stand for again, FREEDOM.
Together we must stand and battle against tyrants so together we can say freedom rings out in Quartzsite.
Hal Davidson
Former Councilman
Town of Quartzsite
August 3rd, 2011 at 8:15 pm
Hal,
Thank you for an inspiring situational analysis and a positive prognosis. It is great to hear this kind of patriotic statement from someone in Quartzsite, and especially a former Councilman. The vision of freedom, and its attendant vision of transparency-in-government and accountability by all who work in the public trust, is still alive and well in America. If we are no longer the majority of Americans, we’re still a strong remnant. I do believe that our ranks are growing every day as secrecy and deception in government on all levels across the spectrum continues to be exposed. There may be enough of us left in America to actually accomplish the re-taking of our liberties and freedoms under due process through Constitutional means. You are a brother with many other brothers, but whether you and I are outnumbered or not, at least we have the knowledge in our hearts that our souls remain clean and honorable and that our life decisions have no need for secrecy and deception, and that we lived up to moral standards in a day and time in which so many statist-minded fellow citizens couldn’t care less. It is a matter of personal responsibility which patriots recognize, a remembering that “cause and effect are never separate”, which binds us to the Creator and/or “Nature’s God” as our Founders knew and wrote into the founding documents.
As Stewart Rhodes often says, we’re all here to die. No “body” gets out of this world alive. So the important thing is the quality of personal responsibility by which we live and act while we are alive. You and I can be outnumbered by seven billion other souls on this planet, and still we would honor our duties and responsibilities no matter what. That is what is important when we reach the final moment in each of our lives. I’m glad to know you’re in the world, and I think that we are not alone.
I look forward to meeting you on the 27th of August in Quartzsite.
Salute!

It’s still amazing to me how these hateful, anti-American politicians, and far-left government “wackjobs” can say things like they do these days, and get away with it, and even be supported for the vile language they say about common, ordinary people who love this country. Such damn and dangerous hypocrites. If the 2012 elections doesn’t “outs” most or all of these marxists/communists/islamists supporters in the White House and Congress, we will witness much more of these hateful events across this country, and they will become violent, if these far-left lunatics know that they can get away with it, with the full support of the new dictatorship, especially after 2012. And, they will, if the 2012 elections becomes a total failure to save what is left of America, and of the U.S. Constitution. I’m proud that there are groups like OathKeepers. If there is a final “takeover” of America by the far-leftist lunatics, many, many police officers, S.W.A.T. personnel, and even military personnel will be faced with some very, very difficult and serious personal decisions about ANY anti-American and un-Constitutional orders that they will be given to harrass, intimidate, threaten, and even destroy/incarcerate/murder any property, people, or groups of Americans that speak out against this tyranny, purchase “forbidden” books/information, home school thier child(ren), active in pro-American organizations, who are anti-vaccinations, own personal defense weapons and related items, belong to a local militia group, and even religious people who choose to go to church each week to pray. I hope this country doesn’t turn into a Mad Max backdrop. The current president has been putting his “players” “quietly” into place during and even before his 2008 election. If this president is re-elected in 2012, sometime after that election, he will “let loose” these “animals” to take total control of our government, and there will be little or practically nothing that we, as Americans, can do about it, except to defend our very existance as humans. Just my personal opinion. I hope that I’m wrong. But, with each passing week and month, America is turning into something that many of us dreaded would occur. Game over. Game over.
